GrandStay Hotel & Suites Glenwood

Family wedding in Glenwood, this hotel staff was outstanding to work with, ensuring that our family members got rooms before any other guests. They were also extremely helpful throughout the stay. Friendly and very helpful. They have late night pizzas! Staff made several for our group, she was the only one who seemed a bit tired of us by the end of the stay. In her case, it was a lot to ask around midnight!

Wonderful staff, clean hotel inside & out and loved the large pool and hot tub.

We had the best time. The staff is so nice and helpful! The breakfast is amazing. The pool was clean!!! The rooms were clean and the beds were super comfortable!

Very impressed for a "2 star" hotel. Honestly its a 5 star in my mind. The staff was great and very helpful for anything. We stayed from 6/17-6/19. The free breakfast bar was pretty good, kid friendly options were a huge plus.

The suite we rented was comfy and spacious. I was happy there was a few dishes and stove too. The walls are thick enough to not hear your neighbors.

They actually take their time and do a great job cleaning. The water pressure is strong, much better than most.

There's a dollar general, liquor store, bars and a dairy queen with in a 3 min walk.

GrandStay Glenwood is a top notch hotel that anyone traveling in the vicinity needs to stay at. Sure, Alexandria is more convenient, but you would miss this gem of a hotel.

The facility is spotless! Rooms are modern and well kept and stocked with quality soaps. Beds were comfy. The pool area is a nice size with a hot tub and tropical plants.

The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The front desk clerk even told us some local spots to check out.

Breakfast was great, meats, eggs, pastries, coffees, yogurts, juices, coffee, and fruit. The staff was constantly checking to make sure the food was fresh.

You won't be disappointed!

We were here for a family get away. We were very happy with everything. Rooms were clean and roomy. Pool area was also very nice. Breakfast was delicious. The customer service was excellent.

They are always so good to work with! We have rented the breakfast area for family gatherings also. It has been a wonderful place to gather!

This is a lovely hotel and the rooms are all very nice. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The pool area is nice and they have some balls and floaties for kids to use. If you are staying in the area I highly recommend staying here!

I thought the $35 fee for our dog was a little steep-most places have been $25. The room was neat and comfortable. There were a couple spots on the shower curtain. We appreciated the 2nd floor room, close to the side exit, leading to the dog area outside. The breakfast was excellent with many delicious options. We cannot afford this stay too often, but definitely a great place all around.

Great hotel in Glenwood! My 1st choice if I ever need to go back. The rooms are generous and updated. Bathroom is huge! Which we really appreciate. The staff was friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humor! Great location with partial lake views, and close to the Lakeside Restaurant, lounge and banquet hall which I highly recommend to grab a meal!
We didn't try buffet breakfast, but it looked good. We opted for bananas and granola bars for a light grab-n-go as we hit the road early. Just be aware that there is no elevator at this hotel, so if you are disabled or have difficulty with stairs, make sure you request a room on the first floor.

Bed was a little stiff, but the rooms were clean, pool/hot tub were open from 6 am - 12 am. Only downside to pool area, the floors are very slippery when wet (I recommend wearing shoes in the area) and the bubbles in the hot tub were broken, but it was still felt great. Breakfast had many options. Staff was very nice. Limited parking.

Peggy at the front desk is awesome! Super friendly and helpful.
Rooms are clean and well kept. With covid restrictions there’s certain things they can’t offer, like the continental breakfast. But they do offer a bagged breakfast they’ll drop off at your door if you choose which I thought was a nice idea. The pool is open but they’re good about making sure it stays at 25% capacity (7 people). I had the king suite that had the jacuzzi tub and it was really nice. Overall a very very good experience.

I will be staying in a GrandStay whenever traveling the state of MN based on my very positive first stay impression at Glenwood. Very impressed with cleanliness, atmosphere and overall experience. To boot, the GM - Peggy is one of the most genuine general managers I have met. Makes a big difference when you have management that is actively involved and strives for overall guest experience. Highly recommend this location and hotel.

The rooms where very clean and comfortable. All the staff where very friendly. The front desk even offered to move us to the first floor because my husband is on oxygen and had to carry his oxygen upstairs but I said no but thank them for asking and wanted to help make it easier for him. We would stay there again.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Brown bag breakfasts prepared for us. Very nice pool. Everything was very neat and clean.

We had a king suite, which was perfect. We purchased food across the street from the grocery store, and kept it in a full size fridge/freezer. We cooked meals on the cook top, and we're able to clean up easily with the dishwasher.

The kids had a blast and can't wait to go back.

King size bed was comfortable and the bedroom was quite quiet despite having the kids in the hanging out in the living room

I stayed here for a Mom/daughters weekend with my 86 yr old Mom and two sisters. We had a king suite and it was perfect. The kitchen had an island where the four of us could play cards or eat when we ordered in. The pool was clean and had beach balls to play with!

One of the things I appreciated the most is that Peggy, the office manager was so easy to work with. We had concerns because of the winter weather and she assured us that if we had to cancel our reservations due to inclement weather, we would not be charged, even if it was within the 48 he window.

My Mom wants to go back again next year!

Check in was easy. Cleaning staff was the best. Everyone cheerful and made us feel good about our choice. Good selection for breakfast.

Extremely helpful when it seemed like the entire state was booked up. The lady working called us back and let us know that there was a cancellation after checking with some guests. So thankful. Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was good. Great people and a great place to stay.
