Barsness Park

Been coming here since I was a baby in my mom’s womb. They had seasonal campsite number 13. They changed it to 31. Cool story bro. Went up for Waterama and had a great time. Park is clean. Splash pad for the kids. Firewood is $5. Sand volleyball looks fun. Reasonable pricing. Bathrooms are clean.

This park is in the city with camping, showers, bike/hike trails playground and kiddy water park. Just amazing for a free city park!!!

BEAUTIFUL PARK, LOTS OF THINGS TO DO, CLOSE TO TOWN, and GREAT CAMPING SITES!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

My go-to place for a walk with my dogs or just to enjoy the great outdoors. Acres of beautiful wilderness made hikeable and bike friendly by trails designated for each that amazingly leave the natural features intact. A rare treasure to be enjoyed.

The Vintage Car club had a picnic at this beautiful park this afternoon. It is well kept and easy to find. There is a nice large covered shelter and an enclosed building with a kitchen and plenty of tables.

We go hiking on the trails with our dogs. Most of the trails are easy enough for our 14 yr old Golden Retriever. Beautiful treed paths with a babbling brook that you cross occasionally. Love it.

I've played at this park growing up. One time my mom made up a map of the park for a treasure hunt. The treasure was a ice cream bucket wrapped with tin foil and full of candy. Very cool for my friends and brothers and sisters and I. My kids also like to play at this park. I like to wear them out by walking up the old ski hill.

Barsness Park is a great asset to Glenwood. It is large, has beautiful camping spots for both tents and rvs, 2 playground areas, sports fields, an 18 hole disc golf course, and wooded hiking trails. It is a great location for the whole family.

A ton of options for everyone at this park. Activities such as: camping, hiking, disc golf, baseball, playground, soccer, etc!! Our group took a nice walk/hike along the different trails and had a great time.

This is a great campground. A lot of things for do for the kids, and great for the adults as well. Right across the street from lake minnewaska beach swimming area and the boat loading area. In the campground there are playgrounds,soccer fields, volleyball field, frisbee golf. Reasonably priced as well.

Give this 5 Stars based on the small community it is located in for a small park at offers a fair amount of hiking trails through beautiful woods and the trails are very well maintained there's also a small Creek that runs through the whole park they have numerous outdoor structures they have a playground they have volleyball courts and a very nice Frisbee Golf Course or disc golf course there's also a baseball field soccer field and you can pedal bike or walk around the park as well so there's lots to do here again for a small town it's a very well kept and maintained park with lots of variety

Very nice park with camping and hiking trails. Very close to Lake Minnewaska if you like to fish. Skate park and baseball diamonds. Canopy covered picnic tables and a small playground for kids.

Beautiful park to relax and chill. Beach is accross the street. They have a few spots you can eat, and a nice playground for the kids. They also have frisbee golf, a baseball park, a soccer field and volleyball courts aswell. They also have camping sites along with a rv site too for camper trailers. They are also restrooms too on site. Great park. Highly recommended

Clean and well maintained Park with walking trails in the woods, sports fields, playground, frisbee golf, sand volleyball, shelters and camping. It is located right across the road from the city beach and lake access.

As always we loved the park! Clean, open and well kept thanks to the ladies and gentlemen of Glenwood City services . Lots of water right now though... Who would have guessed 😀

Fun to walk trails kids playground. Frisbee golf baseball feilds tennis courts vollyball feild sledding hills. Campgrounds for fair price also full hopkup options for camper trailors.

Great place to bring children. Lots of "playground" equipment & open space for them to run around. Covered shelters for picnics!

Love it here. Great for picnics and some family fun. Has a little creek too.

The best hiking trails around! You would never be able to guess that the trail head is practically in downtown Glenwood!
