Capisce Trattoria & Pizzeria

My wife and I went to Capisce Trattoria for dinner tonight. Upon entering the restaurant they gave my wife a red rose for Valentine’s Day which was very much appreciated. We have been going to this place for over 30 years and have encountered several different owners. Mario the new owner has made some very positive changes. The fish and shrimp was very fresh and very tasty. We were very happy to have Skip, Benny and Leo welcome us at the new restaurant and give us outstanding service. We will be coming back in the near future.

The Village is a fantastic place. My family has been coming here for years for all different special events. So it was my turn to have my special event here. They were so accommodating! Special shout outs to Skip and Benny for handling a large group so well. We were hours early and they didn’t miss a beat. Excellent service, excellent food, beautiful restaurant.

If you want to come to a restaurant where you are treated like family dining at their home, look no further.

Fantastic experience with the new owners Mario and team!! I order a lot of to go catering for various events and their food is delicious. I've dined in as well and always am impressed . Feels like home, highly recommend !!

We stopped for a late lunch, early dinner because we were shopping in the area. Glad to see they were opened at 3:00.
We knew the old owners and didn't know it had changed hands. But....
We were pleasantly surprised with the unique Italian cuisine. I had the lobster, sundried tomatoes with asparagus over fettuccine, priced at 31.00, fair with plenty of lobster.
Husband had the Sausage Riccotino, delightful. We had nothing to complain about.
We didn't have dessert, but next time we will.

We are regular customers for more than 20 years and I need to express how happy we were to walk in and be greeted by such a lovely young woman. Normally we have to seat ourselves and wait for the waiters. Who we love to bring us a menu. It was lovely to be walk in and have the door opened for us and be greeted with a smile if they do have a greeter they are normally grumpy and on their phone. She was so kind she even helped wrap my husband's leftovers and fill our water and clear our table. It was a very busy night and they seemed short staffed. The food was as it always is. Skip was as charming as always. But it's the little details that matter. Service with a smile. A friendly hello and a genuine goodnight. It was one of the nicest evenings we had there in a long time. We love Fridays at I'lvilagio. Aka the village thank you Azem.

Another great Northern New Jersey Italian restsurant. Traditional menu plus great specials. From the specials menu I enjoyed the Mixed Seafood Soup and Tropical Swordfish over Pineapple Salsa and Mixed Greens. Tartufo for dessert.

Such a great night out. Staff and food was great. We will definitely be back. Mario, thank you so much.

This is a new spot for us to enjoy, with fabulous food, beautiful surroundings and exceptional service. We look forward to patio dining soon! We will be back again.

I had the pleasure to come here with my family and in -laws and a family friend. The food was amazing. The veal milanese was delicious. We had the seafood salad and calamari - that was delicious and good portions. My daughter had Cavatelli Broccolli - I tried it and that was very delicious too. Can't wait to come here again for another meal and try other things on the menu. The service was nice. The people who work there are nice. The atmosphere is beautiful. Who would have thought there is a nice fancy restaurant hidden off Powder Mill and Rt 10.

The pizza here is amazing. Definitely one of best pizzas in the area. They've nailed it, a perfect amount of chewy with crispy edges.

It's a very nice restaurant located in powder mill station junction. It's very easy accessible hotel to many people who live nearby. Staff r very polite and service minded. There was free food offer for senior citizens on thanks giving day.

Great food, great family, great people go here and the food is special. The owners and staff make you feel special. It was great to meet Z the other day!

Rigatoni sausage and cream. Will literally change your life. Plus this spot is byob and has a liquor store next door. Great atmosphere. Wait staff is so polite. Really enjoy our nights spent here.

They also accommodated us for a party of 16. Service was on top of everything. Never had a bad experience here

This was our first time dining here. The service is excellent and the staff is really nice. The food is very good. We love that it is a BYOB. We will definitely put this on our go to restaurant list. Highly recommended.

We live locally and walked to the restaurant to enjoy a great meal in their outdoor area. Service was wonderful and the food was amazing!

As we were finishing dessert, a rainstorm started and we needed to head inside. As we paid the bill, the restaurant owner asked if we were okay to make our way home in the rain. When we explained that we lived locally and that we had walked, they offered us a ride home.

The restaurant owner drove us home and wouldn't accept a tip. We will absolutely dine at Village Restaurant & Pizzeria again! The food is great, and the service is outstanding!

Friendly folks and amazing food, will definitely be back

1st visit since the new owner renovation. Couldn't have been more pleased. Our waiter, Skip, was great. He made several recommendations and was very cordial. We had a table of 4 and everyone was happy. The meals were excellent, and that is coming from 4 Italians. Definitely returning.
