This is my favorite place I ever worked. The boss really cares about the customer as well as his staff. The staff is very helpful. I care and totally enjoy helping the customers. To all that have made us successful over the years, thank you and to all that have shopped with us for the first time, I hope it was well worth it. Thank you Bruce for allowing me to be apart of you team. It means alot. All the fabric came from Fabricland.

I can't say enough about the wonderful service I received from Fabricland. From the moment I walked through the door, there was a high level of personalized customer service. I was apprehensive about selecting fabric and the designer Suzanne, helped me every step of the way. I wanted to stay within a specific budget and we worked together to ensure that happened. My custom drapes were ready within the time specified and the install went smoothly. I highly recommend this business if good quality hand crafted draperies are important to you.

Just had my new drapery installed. Waited a long time because the first fabric selection was no longer available. Happy to say it was worth the wait. The drapery construction exceeded expectations and the installer was meticulous. Highly recommend Fabricland for custom drapery.

Great sewing instructors, you can find classes on website. Limited amount of fabric but still great selections. The employees are very helpful and know where items are located. Great selections of buttons for all projects. Love their revamp displace with revamped pieces. Great place to pick up upholstery fabric.

Nice selection of pre made curtains and huge selection of fabrics if you want custom. I never bought curtains before so I didn’t really know what I needed and what was in style. The ladies there were so helpful and I found the perfect pre made curtains decorative rods. I’m so happy with how my windows look !

I have used Fabric Land for two upholstery projects and each time have had nothing but a pleasant experience with them. It was recommended by a good friend when I first was doing an upholstered wing back chair and the fabric selection had enough variety to fit my personal taste. Was just recently back for doing an upholstered headboard and while selection has changed there still was enough to really pick the right one. The staff was friendly and helpful even as I did 3 laps around the fabrics trying to decide. Take a look at their discount bin as you can find some great prints for good prices if you only need a yard or two.

I just had a class here called Absolute Beginners. I have not had any sewing instruction since junior high school!... The instructor Pat was just wonderful. She's an excellent instructor, patient and supportive. I signed up for another class with her. I also enjoy browsing the store. The reps are very helpful and always acknowledge their customers, even if they are helping others.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of varieties of drape rods, drapes, blinds etc. Came to know that they are the oldest dealer of Hunter Douglas in NJ and kind of offer lifetime free repairs if bought from them. Even if not bought from them, they were very helpful in getting things repaired at justifiable price.

Unfortunately, this place has now moved to Paramus.

I am happy to report that long ago, this store was not very friendly but now the associates are very helpful and friendly. I think they have a more limited inventory than when they were in the old location but it is okay and now they are only 1/2 mile from my house. Considering that I need supplies often, this is great news.

Fabricland is one of the most incredible family owned retail stores to shop in! I have been a customer here since the early 1980's. Who could EVER imagine I would be employed here almost 40 years later?! I LOVE this store! Everyone who works here is so helpful........ whether you are asking for sewing instructions, how much fabric to buy for a project, or how to install a curtain rod, your questions will be answered here! In this world of shopping online, we continue to give you the ONE thing the internet can NOT: HUMAN customer service! Stop in during this month of Halloween.......... you will see an employee or two dressed in costume in anticipation of our upcoming Halloween Parade and Contest!
We would LOVE to see you! Bring a friend!

My husband and I were planning to DIY upholster some kitchen chairs, and went here since we figured they'd be able to help recommend some fabrics, etc. Immediately we were met with such kindness and helpfulness from the staff, who were able to recommend some great fabrics as well as estimate how much we would need. The entire process only took about a half hour, and on top of it all they were having a wonderful sale! The next day, we were able to easily reupholster our chairs and had enough fabric for all 10. The folks at fabricland helped to make our project so easy, we will definitely be back for any of our fabric needs!

I was able to find some really large sewing needles for leather, for a project I was working on. They also have tons of other stuff, I don't buy curtains all that much but I did see lint brushes as I own a cat. But if you are a seemstress You would probably be in heaven. All kinds of fabrics. The store is rather large.

We recently had new construction windows installed which required new blinds and shades. Our designer, Terri Gregg, was fantastic and professional. She took the time to visit our home, on several occasions, and shared her design expertise and helped put all of our concerns at ease when it came introducing a new look. Our home looks fantastic and the compliments on our new blinds and shades keep coming. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend FabricLand and more importantly Terri Gregg!

I have shopped at Fabricland for years and have rarely been disappointed. They almost always have what I'm looking for whether it's fine fabrics, notions, or something for my home decor. Their prices are comparable to other stores in the area but their selection usually far outweighs anything I can find elsewhere. In fact, I had sent my cousin who lives in another state a link to a photo of a quilt I had made which was on Fabricland's website. This prompted her to explore the website and reply to me, "Wow, I wish we had a store like this near here!"

The staff has always been very helpful in responding to my questions. I have taken a sewing class as well and just loved it. The teacher, Sharon, was very patient with everyone regardless of ability. I found it to be a very helpful class.

Four years ago I posted the above review and I meant every word of it. However, due to a recent visit to Fabricland's new quarters , in Greenbrook, I am compelled to revise my review. Sadly, I must say that I was very disappointed. Now, I understand that the need to move to new quarters was a business decision, partly prompted by the fact that the old building was falling apart. I also understand that the decision to emphasize Window Fashions/ Home Decor was also a business decision, .However, I am not often in need of such items. (How many people are?) What I do often need are sewing supplies. Recently, I decided to visit the new Fabricland even though it meant traveling extra distance. I am sorry to say that I was sorely disappointed. The selection of fabrics and other sewing supplies has been severely cutback. I was able to find a piece of fabric that I could use, but as far as some of the specialty sewing supplies (special thread, variety of marking tools, etc.) - there was very little or nothing! It's so sad. Needless to say, given the extra travel distance and the lack of selection, I will be unlikely to continue to visit Fabricland.

Putting together draperies for my kids room and they were all helpful and efficient from fabric selection, loan of a swatch, ordering and delivery. I couldn't be happier.

Very good selection of clothes and designs. Have almost every kind of clothes for every occasion. Price is ok and varies with quality, they have something for less price too with good quality. Well behaved staffs and good infrastructure.

Fabricland has been there for years, I've been buying stuff from them a least 40.
They have lots of decorator (upolstraphy/drapeery) fabric.
There is fabric for dressmaking but as fewer and fewer of us have the time to - we're too busy on the internet :-}.
I always find the trims or notions (thread, buttons, etc) that I need there.
There is rumor that they are closing but I realy realy hope they don't since there are no places like this anywhere nearby!

I just read review that said Fabricland had moved to Paramus....

Fabricland has not moved and is still in North Plainfield - their Metropolitan Window Fashion Division has a location in Paramus

Fabricland is such a great resource - the displays are beautiful and fabric bolts are priced to inspire creativity.

You dont have to sew to love this place!

They offer a free shop at home service. The Hunter Douglas window treatments are especially amazing and they price match any competition.

They do custom reupholstering...

Also check out The Ready Made Departmart - lots of choices - that can be shortened and installed too!!
