This is a wonderful, family/local restaurant! Food was hot, fresh & delicious. It was also popular with the locals so you know it's good!

I CANNOT believe how amazing this flaky, thin, delicious crust on the chicken empanadas!! I mean you can SEE how full of delicious shredded chicken all inside and BARELY contained with that crust. Just so you, the readers can understand how great these chicken empanadas are...I'm an avid traveler and a serious foodie. I will put money on these chicken empanadas to beat ANY other place that sells empanadas. These are something special. The beef empanadas are good, BUT the chicken?? That's just a different realm of delicious.

Helpful advice: if you do a food truck this summer. Chicken empanadas and your various tacos is all you'll need to be successful on the road 🙏🏾😋🥰

The FIRST and ONLY choice for great Mexican cuisine in the catskills area. Delicious dishes, excellent portions, and family owned and operated.

Authentic Mexican food in a relaxed cozy setting. Good service. Chorizo nachos were excellent. The michelada was seasoned perfectly and the tamarind Margarita was poppin’. Trust me.

Wonderful food and friendly service! Popped in for salsa. Friend saw I was in Catskill and msg'ed me asking if I could pick some up. I did and stayed for lunch on their patio. Had the fish taco and it was delish. And I could see why my friend wanted the salsa. It was great! Also, they packed it with ice since my trip home was 2+ hours.

Great atmosphere; we went on a Friday and it was so busy. The paella tipica was delicious.

Amazing option when visiting Catskill. We ordered chips and guacamole, empanadas and Paella (for 2). Everything was amazing!!!

I brought my son for lunch. The salsa to start was amazing. Lots of flavor. The fish tacos were outstanding. Left feeling full and satisfied.

Delightfully fresh and authentic food with an even friendlier ambience. The owners treat you like family. The drinks are good. And the candy store has excellent treats from Mexico.

We’re in Catskill for a brief vacation. Our first stop is here at La Casa Latina. It’s a very welcoming restaurant. They serve a big portion of Casa Asada that is cooked to my preference. We enjoyed our food. The lady who assisted us is very friendly.

Hidden Gem I'm the heart of Catskill. A Fusion of Mexican and Columbian food done right. Mexican food is one of my favorites, and this place is on the top of my list. mofungo is not a dish I seen often. So when it's on the menu I order it, and it did not disappoint. The pork was so flavorful and delicious. Just enough crunch without being dry. What ever you order choose it as your filling. I can't wait to go back.

Wonderfully warm and attentive service in this family owned and operated restaurant. All cooking is done on premises and is, hands down, the best Mexican food I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot over the last 50 years since it's one of my favorites)! I have not ordered from the bar so cannot comment on that, but the food is excellent. Our sweet waitress was attentive and remembered where we sat on our only previous visit as well as remembering what I had ordered when we were there on that earlier visit. She made us feel right at home!
We plan to revisit this gem repeatedly when we're in the area and have requested "take-out menus" to pass on to others in the area who appreciate this wonderful cuisine.

Love the food ( you have a choice of grilled chicken ,my fav, instead of pulled in all the dishes. Loved the spunky young lady who took care of us. This little hidden gem is a must....it's across from the Crossroads Brewery...down the alley

While in the town of Catskill my wife and I decided to dine at the la Casa Latina and let me tell you that I have had Mexican food in other Mexican restaurants and they didn't come close to the authenticity of classic Mexican food like La Casa Latina. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and my wife the salmon. Bought dishes were flavorful. Will definitely come back when in the area. A must go place if you really want to taste authentic Mexican food.
