Spike's Record Rack

Though many records I felt were priced a little high, this is the best Hudson Valley record shop I've been to in a while, aside from the one in Hudson. Spike's was super clean, with ultra friendly owner (Spike) and extremely well organized. Also, Spike's collection is full of records I've never seen before in any record store and I've been to a lot of record stores around the world. Jazz guitar nerds, check out the current massive selection particularly on Pat Metheny, George Benson and Pat Martino and I was impressed how many Willis Jackson and Groove Holmes records they had too. Overall, I had a great afternoon and the owner put on numerous records I asked him to sample for me on the in-store system. Granted, this was right at the end of the day and most customers had left. Will be going back many times.

Went in today with my fiance and baby. Found some great records all priced accordingly based on condition and year made. Great ambience and well organized. Really appreciate the vinyl i got and will enjoy it for years to come.

Today was the second time I have been to Spike's and everytime I shop here I have a great time and find some amazing records. I would definitely recommend this record store to anyone looking to find a hidden gem.

Spike's is a great store. Great selection, items well displayed and a knowledgeable owner. WIf you're a collector or a casual fan of music, it's well worth the trip to Catskill.

Spike's Record Rack is top shelf! It's always loaded with classics, rarities, and hard to find stuff. Pricing is on point, and owner Spike Priggen is a musical aficionado. This guy is extremely well-versed musically and his shop has new selections on display all the time. Record Store Day is always an added bonus here with so many great releases and re-releases to score. It's always a blast shopping there and practically impossible to leave without a handful of LPs. Highly recommended. If you haven't been here yet, wait no longer!

Very thoroughly organized vintage record shop with a good selection but prices are high

This is a great store and I'll be visiting again. Lots of really good classic records, not necessarily cheap, but fairly priced. The owner Spike is a lot of fun and a really nice guy. Thanks so much!

Great selection of new and used, everything in pristine shape and very well organized at the main store in Catskill, with a bargain annex at the antiques center in Coxsackie. One of the best record shops in the area.

Mostly for cassette and vinyl collectors, but still a good selection of CD's! Tons of old stereo equipment as well. Great prices! If I ever come back to Catskill area, I will definitely stop by again!!

Nice place with a large selection of all types of music. Spike is a nice congenial guy who seems to love what he's doing here. I have a hard time not leaving with something every time I stop in, which makes it fun, especially when I am trying to replace some old lost albums or ones I just never got around to buying. For the most part the prices are pretty fair and it's great to have another shop like this around !

Second visit to Spike’s in a couple months, the shop is super organized, with the best selection of titles from many genres. I was amazed at rare finds in areas that aren’t readily available most places. Worth the trip!

Spike's store is not large, but packed to the gills with the platters that matter. Stock is neatly organized and stickered prices are excellent, well below discogs pricing, and are negotiable based on volume....as any good record store will do. The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate his extra care during the Pandemic. Masks are required, and Spike politely limits customers to 4 at a time. This insures everyone's safety

Excellent shop with nice selection of RECORDS. The Staff is friendly and helpful. I loved the "feel" of the store, it has a "Kool" look. This Shop adds a great vibe to Main St Catskill. A must visit!

Spike’s had the Isaac Hayes record I had been looking for. The shop has a great selection and fair prices.

I've been here a couple of times and they have an amazing collection of every genre! Chris...he is absolutely awesome, so easy to talk to and his knowledge of music is on point! I suggest you check them out!
