Upscale pub atmosphere with very friendly and genuine service. Across the board the food is incredible - extremely flavorful and complex making for an exciting dining experience. The half chicken dish is simply unbelievable - in a class of its own.

If there were any disappointments it was only because many other dishes performed so well. My tacos are great on their own but will not be the stars of the show. The maple ice cream is very good but a bit strongly flavored for the end of the night.

We will return, probably many more times.

I first ate here eight years ago when it was opened by a friend and called “the restaurant “. It was amazing then though that was a friends and family first night.

This was my first experience eating here as Gaskins and it was delicious. They had a great mix of options and a very knowledgeable service staff.

One of the best restaurants in the Hudson Valley for sure. The only problem is on the weekends you’ll have to wait, for a while, so be prepared or get there when it opens. They change their menu often so it’s always fun to come back and see what’s new. Lots of great choices including mocktails and shareables. Definitely worth a visit!

So good. Best chicken I ever had. Worth the wait. The salad with blue cheese and blueberries were fresh and flavorful. The sourdough bread Devine. The bluefish was great with fresh vegetables, especiallythe Peas. The winner was that chicken. Omg freaking god! The lebna icecream was so flavorful too. 10 star. Should be Michelin star. Its that good. I love how much they donate to the feeding organization too. It was quiet busy for a Monday night so arrive early. Follow annastravels on tiktok and anamaglena on Instagram.

Not being from the area, my mother and I came on the recommendation of a local we met at a garden that morning. We did not have a reservation, but the host could not have been more welcoming. We had a table for 2 that at first seemed rather small, but we got used to it, and the servers always made sure that items were placed and then swiftly removed to keep it from getting cluttered. The food was delicious, and the servers delightful. I even asked for a candle in the dessert and Happy Birthday was sung to me with enthusiasm in Swedish! I would definitely go back! (They have an outdoor balcony area that looks lovely too.)

Delicious spot with great ambiance and cool clientele. A new find a friend invited us to meet for drinks at. We ended up staying for a delicious dinner and loving the evening. Very nice reception held a table for us while we were at the bar and held a cute baby for a couple so they could eat in peace for a bit. Hip, tasty, surprising combinations, great spot.

There is nothing on this menu that isn't superb. The atmosphere is lively and tasteful, a perfect meal at 6 pm as the sun sets over the Catskills. We had a bottle of Nebbiolo, zero proof yuzu cocktail, a plate of warm olives, and Sparrowbush sourdough bread to start. The bread was warm and steaming. We moved to the heirloom tomatoes and peaches, and shared lions mane tacos. For the main we had the eggplant dish, which all paired perfectly with the bread and butter to soak up the sauce. For dessert we had the seasonal sweet corn ice cream special , ( served with caramel corn and blueberry,) which I have been talking about for two years. Thank you to the gracious staff and chefs who took excellent care of us.

Such an amazing place! The restaurant’s decor is beautiful inside and out. The restaurant food is so delicious! You can order anything on the menu. I recommend going with a small group of people and trying a bit of everything. My favorite spot in the Catskills.

GM welcomed us like friends, gave us an excellent table and thanked us on the way out when dinner was over. Our server was smart, cool and poured heavily when refilling our sparkling wine. We loved the taste and presentation of the ox eye cocktail, the Mac and cheese and the baked cheese appetizer. The mussels were fresh and perfectly prepared too. So glad we finally got to experience Gaskins after hearing so many great things! Gorgeous crowd there too.

Gaskin’s is always a wonderful place for a meal. The food is excellent and the drinks are just as good. But it’s the service and the people who make it so special. Kim and her team make it a place where everyone feels welcome and valued…whether you go there all the time or just once in a while. To Kim and all the Gaskin’s team: thank you for being you.

My wife and I split the cabbage salad with brown butter vinaigrette. One of the best things I’ve ate as a starter ever. I had the cavatelli which was phenomenal, but my wife and I shared the roasted chicken, and it was supreme. Finished off with an apple crisp dessert. Nothing disappointed. Every dish was incredible.

Love Gaskins. If I lived closer I'd eat there more often! We ate here for Valentine's Day this year. Delicious 3 course menu. I especially loved the Roman gnocchi. Hope to visit again soon.

Overall, I enjoyed our experience. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. I do recommend the Burrata and Fried Corn as appetizers because it was delicious! Our server was very kind and the restaurant looks nice. In contrast, however, the dessert was not of the highest quality. We shared the Chocolate Hazelnut Cake and it was not good The cake was super dry and the rosemary frost was very strong.
I’d love to visit again.

All so exceptionally wonderful. So warm. Always great food and wine. Such a good approach to the whole thing of restauranting. One of my favorite places on the planet

What a magnificent night. The restaurant was beautiful the food was to die for and the service was spectacular. We were greeted by Molly who was a pleasure. She was sweet, accommodating, and organized. We then had Emma as our server who was marvelous as well. She was prompt, friendly, helpful and very attentive.

Cannot wait to go back

Visiting from Boston and caught a table at just the right time with our kids. Hostess was so inviting, food amazing and our waitress was so attentive. The whole experience was refreshing and we loved it!

Their menu changes with the seasons, and they always are trying new things. I am continually impressed with their changes, and it always leaves me wanting to come back for more. And it’s almost all locally sourced too! Their drinks list has changed since I had come 3 years ago, and they have drinks for every palette.

First time at Gaskins, we were out in the area for a wedding. The service and food were excellent. Stand outs were the carrot salad, which still had the right amount of crunch and a touch of sweetness. Also super excited to see Aunt Dotty’s one of my favorite oysters from the Island Creek Farm. The entrees were great as well, we had Bluefish and Wood Roasted Zucchini. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

Oh my gosh this place is just perfect, being a aficionado of the Marlow’s guys in bk for many years this feels like an expansion outpost up in the Hudson area! Very honest cooking and relaxed atmosphere! Been here four times the last year and each time have been so good!
