Margaretville Motel

After reading reviews I understand your hesitation booking this place but don't listen to the noise. It is far better than what you would expect for a motel room more than 50% cheaper than any other rooms in the area. Clean room, comfortable bed and hot water. Hot water took some time to heat up so don't stress. Just have to give it some time and we took 2 showers without it changing temperature.

If you want a quiet, inexpensive no frills motel room in a beautiful area then this is exactly what you're looking for.. you get a pin number after purchasing a room which let's you enter.. there's no one there to check you in.. it has everything you need and it's in a perfect area, right next to (possibly inside) of Catskill Park..

Excellent service and communication. We staying in two bedroom suite on Main Street. Plenty of room for me and two kids. Living room and kitchen, nice layout. Clean, exactly what we needed for a weekend of skiing. We will be back soon!

It starts out scary 😂 don't be afraid you may proceed. Office is closed no contact...but they answer the phone ,were super plesent and the room was totally remodeled. Super clean even under the bed 🤣. I own a cleaning biz and am super picky. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud . I have ocd so I always undress and redress the beds not a single stain on the mattress. I would definitely recommend it. Don't judge a book by its cover. Great place.

Very friendly staff. The rooms are not fancy but they are clean and convenient. The beds are SUPER comfy and the linens are like sleeping in a cloud. Great shower pressure too! One suggestion would be to provide hair dryers.

Cute, affordable motel in the Catskills. The owner was super friendly and helpful. Great place to stay for the night.

It's a standard road side motel -- nothing fancy but it is VERY clean, beds are comfortable (very soft though, incase you prefer a firm matress.) There is free breakfast (way moreions than I usually see at a motel!) The wifi works, and the woman at the front desk was SUPER sweet. They also clear the parking lot immediately when it snows.

Nice quiet, clean place to rest.

Becky (the manager) is very friendly, accommodating and answered all our questions. She went above and beyond when we had an emergency. She also arranged food for us (due to COVID morning breakfast was not doable). We will definitely be back.

We stayed at this hotel expecting a poor experience. It was a surprise to see high quality towels, clean bathrooms, coffee maker, breakfast essentials in the room, and a hassle free check-in and check-out.

Place looks very nice. Pizza is tasty.
In this place, where civilization is not a trivial thing, this restaurant stands out. Kudos.

Great honest people, left a $60 controller in my room and they sent it to me, they couldve either stole that or stole my card info, but they didnt, rooms arent too bad either, not a holiday inn but it does the trick! Comfortable and a beautiful area, stop in!

The rooms were clean staff doesn't stay call location you call ahead and they make sure your room is open and everything is there no complaints with this covid-19 the room is clean and sanitary to the best of their ability

The motel is a convenient spot in the middle of a really beautiful area. Becky was top notch and very helpful at every turn. We were grateful to have found the place. Thank you all.

Stayed at the Margaretville Motel. And had a great dinner at the Inn Between Steak and Seafood restaurant. Got up the next and and backpacked the Big Indian Wilderness. Very beautiful area.

The folks at the Margaretville Motel are friendly but the place needs maintenance, as do many of the motels in this region. Be sure to have breakfast at Jack's Place, aka Bread and Breakfast; it's the wooden red caboose in Arkville.

Simple, clean and quiet room - everything you need for a short stay after long day fishing and hiking.

Old place but it was exactly what we needed it to be!

Friendly people. Close to a ski/snowboard area. Have a very basic breakfast.
