We spent a week in the David John cabin and it was perfectly tranquil. There was plenty of space for our family of three to comfortably move around the cabin, prepare meals, and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounded us. The spacious deck offered a beautiful view and led down to a private dock and row boat.
The local loons serenaded us in the mornings and evenings, we thoroughly enjoyed the shared beach area (complete with a swing set, chairs, and beach toys), and I took our toddler on his first kayak ride in one of the provided kayaks. Another family that was staying on the lake hauled in dozens of fish over the course of the week.
The resort is located 15 minutes south of Minocqua, which is packed with fun family activities to enjoy. We especially loved the sunset pontoon cruise, watching a Min-Aqua Bats water ski show, and visiting the Wildwood Wildlife Zoo.
If you need a relaxing getaway with access to a private, no wake lake, Fawn Lake Resort will provide that and more!

Our family has been coming here for the past 25 years and I have to say our trips to Fawn lake never disappoint. In fact, they are the highlight of our summer! We have made some of our most memorable and cherished family moments at Fawn lake. The minute we pull in the driveway we all start to relax as we take in the beauty of the lake and the landscape. Fawn lake is a beautiful gem in the north woods and we are so happy to have found it and shared so many amazing summers there. Looking forward to many more!
