Great park for the beach, playground or fishing. The beach area is smaller but nicely roped off for safety. The play set has lots of fun stuff. And the dock to the side was lots of fun and you get lots of bites. Great place to take the kiddos.

Up and coming park! They are still building it out but it's already a nice little spot. There's the mini beach with roped-off swimming area. There's plenty of grass and picnic tables for all your picnic beds. Also tennis courts and a nice playground. I haven't been on a playground in decades but it's got this nice rubbery ground that is slightly springy so you don't have to worry about your little ones getting hurt. Once the grass is fully laid and the construction stuff is gone it should be a great spot!

We're new to Minocqua and brought our 5 year-old daughter to Torpy park for the first time on Saturday, May 1, 2021 and she loved it! Located off of highway 51 in downtown Minocqua near McDonald's, the park is close to everything in downtown Minocqua. The playground has swings,a merry-go-round, 2 parallel slides, a tunnel slide, a climbing wall, and all of the accessories a good climbing tower has. It also has a spongy, clean surface, which means no sand and dirt will cover your children, and little if any clean up required.
There is also a smaller playground for tots, which is surrounded with gravel, which can be quite messy. There are multiple canopies equipped with picnic tables and grills, which are a nice touch. Not only that, but the park and playground are right next to a beautiful lake with a nice clean sand beach for swimming and sun bathing. Finally the park has a huge parking lot, which means you can park your vehicle without worrying about other vehicles being parked too close.

We love torpy... Every summer we're there at least 3-5 times a week. My kids love getting takeout and eating dinner at the park, play, then watch the sunset. BEST ever. Highly recommend

In all of my 50 years, visiting with family and friends, this has always been a beautiful, clean park to enjoy the outdoors. It was lovely to visit again with my best furry pal Elmo 🐶.
Yep I picked up the poo because I appreciate and enjoy being allowed to bring our beloved pets 💛

Beautiful well maintained park. Beach was full of people and we were just passing by and needed to stretch the legs. Bathrooms are close by and there is a pizza place basically around the corner. Would be a great place to take the family. Tables nearby would also be cool for a picnic in the park.

Great place to take the whole family with a large playground, grass to roam, a beach and swimming, docks for fishing, and many businesses within walking distance. Also a great place to catch a sunset on a perfect summer evening.

Phenomenal atmosphere! A park and beach all wrapped up into one. There is a life guard on duty at the beach. Very clean area and bathrooms are good as well.

Great water fun. Excellent covered pavilions with lots of space. Free wifi was amazing. Family played on the beach while I comfortably worked on my laptop under the pavilion.

Torpy Park has been a favorite since I was a kid in the 80s! The updated playground is excellent with a toddler area and a bigger kid area that has the nice bouncy rubber padding on the ground, plus big play structure that has interesting features. However, the beach is also a hit, even just to play in the sand.

A great public park in Minocqua with a beach, nice playground, tennis court, beach volleyball court and public restrooms. Also a picnic shelter and fishing pier. Within walking distance of the downtown shops and bike trail.

Warmest water and EXCELLENT playgrounds. Can't beat life guards, snack stand, water bowl for dogs, docks for boats to pull up, and a pavilion for live music!

Torpy Park is now, and has been for generations, the go to place on Lake Minocqua for tourists and locals. Recent improvements to disabled access, pavilion, beach area, and children's playground, have really spruced the place up. Even the concession stand is open in the summers again. The special events held at the park are the highlight. Minocqua Antique & Classic Boat Show and Music Festival (Father's Day Weekend), Dragon Boat Races, Beef-a-Rama festivities, and several running events keep the park fun, yet accessible to all. Stop by and enjoy the views, the beach, and all the events. Plenty of room to park a boat too.

This was a fun playground. My kids and I had a great time here. Close to the water so it was windy today.
