I was very pleased with Nimsgern funeral home. Jamie and Jessica both were very sincere and very caring. They realize that it is a hard time for someone losing a loved one and were very compassionate. They made it go smoothly with the planning and help you out. Also gave advice on what needs to be taken care of after a death of a spouse.

Jamie Nimsgern was great to work with. He's very patient, explains things well, and works with you to customize everything about your loved one's funeral so it is a true reflection of their unique life. I used his funeral services for both of my parents and I was equally satisfied both times. His facility is very nice and a good size to easily handle a crowd. The fellowship in the room in the back made it very convenient to cater a meal right there and not have to travel anywhere else. I highly recommend Nimsgern Services.

Jamie and Justin Nimsgern made the experience of saying good bye to my Mother a memorable one. With the funeral plans already in place, when the day unfortunately came, I knew my Mother was in good hands. They cared, respected, and most of all honored my Mother and her wishes. They listened to my thoughts, and they contributed their experiences on what worked from previous funerals. These are good men, looking out for the best interests of the departed and the families that grieve.

The funeral was very well prepared. They listened to our wishes and followed through. The funeral home was clean and well decorated. At a time like this it is so important that the Funeral Director and his staff understands what we are going through and are as sympathetic as possible. Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services handled the funeral arrangements for both of my parents, both under very different circumstances. My father expressed his wishes to the family just prior to his passing, which included a full funeral service at his primary church in Illinois. Jamie and Justin went above and beyond to assist us in fulfilling all of my father’s wishes, including transportation to and from Illinois, the church services in Illinois, publishing the obituary locally and in Illinois, and cremation services.

After my father’s passing and realizing just how difficult and stressful it was planning and preparing for a funeral in a very short amount of time, my mother chose to work with Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services to pre-plan her arrangements. During this process, Jamie and Justin treated my mother with the utmost respect and were very helpful in assisting her in making her final arrangements. By completing this process with her, they had removed our stress of having to plan another funeral during an emotional time.

My mother no longer resided in the Woodruff area at the time of her passing. Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation immediately responded to the call, picking her up and transporting her back to Woodruff. With the pre-planning that had been done beforehand, they were able to completely fulfill her final wishes for a funeral service at their Woodruff facility and a joint burial and graveside service with my father in Illinois with little additional input from our family.

Our family cannot thank Jamie & Justin and their family enough for the professionalism and compassion expressed to us during such difficult times. Their attention to detail in two very different scenarios is second to none. We are truly grateful and highly recommend Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services for all of your needs.

During the covid-19 Safer at home lockdown, my mom passed away.
