Columbus Metropolitan Library: Hilltop Branch

The man working there that day was very helpful. He showed me how to use the fax and helped me find the books I was looking for.

Friendly staff they always point me in the right direction and are there to answer any questions I might have.

I needed to send documentation to a medical facility, and my scanner was not working. After several calls, I decided to try out the Columbus Metropolitan Library on Hague Avenue. I walked in, and before I reached the main desk, an employee came out to ask me if I needed any help. In less than 5 minutes, we had my documents faxed, emailed the receipt to my phone, and was headed back to my car. Did you know they don't charge you to fax to a local number. I was amazed, and I saved $22 by not going to FedEx this time. ***** Stars plus. Thank you.

It's an absolutely beautiful library, and the people that are working there are extra friendly. They go out of their way to help you in any way they can, and that is very rare these days. I highly recommend a visit to the Columbus metropolitan library on Hague avenue, it is absolutely one of the best libraries you could ever imagine going to. And the people that are working there are absolutely the best also. Thanks Columbus metropolitan library for making something I thought was going to be very difficult to get done, so easy, and fast that I couldn't have asked for more.

The staff at the Hilltop Library are amazing! I can not stress enough how amazing these people are. From the "security guards" (who are sometimes babtysitters) to the staff who help me EVERY TIME. Any questions, ANYTHING at all. I wish every company could embrace the service that we receive at the Hilltop Library. I love my library!

The new remodel is great! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, lots of community resources. All around just a great addition to the neighborhood, especially in it's updated form.

This branch was totally rebuilt from the ground up. They tore the old library down and this NEW Library is ABSOLUTELY Beautiful. It is Huge and has a computer room and other dedicated rooms for various purposes. It is Now Ready for the 21st Century and Beyond. You really need to see it for yourself, you will be BLOWN AWAY how it has been TRANSFORMED. Stay Safe and Stay Strong!!!!!!

Earlier today [11-5-2022], I attended "Re-Imagine Transportation: A Transportation Justice Dialogue," a four-hour-long event, hosted by the Ohio Chapter of the Sierra Club and held at the recently-opened Hilltop Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library at 511 S. Hague Ave. in the "Hilltop" neighborhood of Columbus.

I had never before attended an event at the Hilltop branch of the library though I had been planning to attend two events at that branch earlier this year [January 2022 and March 2022] but had not actually been able to attend those events.

The first of the two events earlier this year at the Hilltop branch had been changed [because of COVID-19] to a "Zoom-only" event after initially having been scheduled as an "in person" event; the second of the two events at that branch had been canceled because of COVID-19 and has not been rescheduled as far as I am aware.

It had been great to be able to actually visit the Hilltop branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library earlier today. "Google Maps Street View" makes it appear that the new building that houses that branch had opened during September 2021 which means that the closed-and-then-reopened branch has been open for only slightly longer than one year.

There is far more space in the new building than I am certain that the previous building had had. I joked with the person at the reception desk, when first arriving, that the lobby is so large that "they would be able to have square dancing in there."

Our meeting room had been four times larger than most meeting rooms at most other library branches [with the one obvious exception of one of the meeting rooms the main branch in downtown Columbus] so our very-large event had easily been able to be accommodated there. There are many "side rooms" of various configurations at that branch that I am certain will fill the needs of most customers.

In spite of the fact that today's meeting had been about the topic of "transportation" [which could lead many to believe that I had traveled there by public transportation], I actually traveled there via Uber because I had been able to travel there in 15 minutes rather than in 1½ hours via two COTA [Central Ohio Transit Authority] buses.

My Uber driver told me that he had previously worked for the Hilltop branch of the library so he of course knows exactly where that branch is located.

If you are looking for a full-service library with a lot of room, I recommend the Hilltop branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library.

The place is beautiful! The staff is very informative and helpful. There is a great children's area, and groups of different ages for kids to join.

I had a pleasant visit to the Hilltop Branch today. Prior to Co-Vid19 this was a frequent hang out for me. I'm a research and genealogy geek and therefore the library is usually my go-to. The experience is much different now. How so? 1) The space appears to be much larger, more open and airy. 2) The Customer Service desk is centralized, 3) The layout offers larger enclosed meeting and "quiet study" rooms, and 4) There is plenty of comfortable furniture arranged for leisurely reading throughout, and 5) Ample open study space with chairs and desks arrayed with plenty of outlets and reliable Wi-Fi. The restrooms were impeccably clean and above all it was QUIET 😴🥱😍👍

Peaceful place to chill, nice environment and staff are always on top of taking care of their customers. Very helpful indeed. Clean and organized areas while having a security guard for safety.

I love Columbus Metropolitan Library system. We are fortunate to have such a great library system. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It is one of my favorite places to visit and feel lucky our library is recognized year after year as being outstanding. Thanks for all you do!

Is a really great place to chill. Easy to find books. Staff are very friendly and helpful to all people. It's a very diverse place to meet people of all types of cultures, religions, and races if they don't have a book they try to find it in other metropolitan branches.
