Indian Mound Campground

Stayed on site 35. Beautiful camp site. If you can get a spot on the lake, DO IT. The sunset is beautiful!!
We liked that it’s rustic; there’s clean latrines with stalls. Water pump takes a minute to get the water out. Friendly camp neighbors; the neighbors we had were very conscious of their generator use so we had no complaints there.
There’s a small beach for swimming for those people without a lake site. The water was clear and cold but very refreshing.
Lots of people with RVs and boats. We had a van to sleep in. Our spot could have probably fit one tent. Not sure if the walk to sites are better for multiple tents.

We had walk-in site number 25, wow, beautiful view. It it probably 50 steps or so up to the campsite. But worth it for us. Plenty of room for a large tent, or two. It is right next to a pretty steep hill, almost too steep to hike down to the water.

The only place I've been to where the pit toilets don't reek. The water/beaches are gorgeous, even if you don't have a boat.

Very small and quiet campground. Does not have showers or flush toilets- can travel to Clear Lake 5 minutes away to shower. Great lake for swimming, very clear and sandy. Saw bald eagles flying around.

Quiet private sites with walking access to the lake. Hand pump available for clean water. Beautiful spot if you like nature camping and not commercial campgrounds.

You will not like this place and you should not go here! Go someplace else, anywhere really! It is right on lake Tomahawk, so there is lake access and the water is way too clear! Some of the sites are literally pull up sites for your boat! How ridiculous is that?? Boat should have docks for them! Like, go down the shoreline to Indian Shores they have civilized stuff like boat docks and running water! If you go there that will be awesome, that way I can have my pick of campsites at Indian Mounds😉

Very rustic, and so gorgeous with so many sites right on the water’s edge! I loved our walk-in site also. Very private and quiet.

Had a great time. Well maintained and clean, a lot of fun nature activities to keep you busy and a beautiful lake view to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of city life. Would totally recommend.

Great camping. Great fishing. Clear lake campground is a few miles down the highway. Both have nice beaches. 15-20 mins from Minocqua.

Nice camp ground, great views of lake. Bring your own power through as there is no electric.
