Delightful experience at Comune during our stay in Columbus. Wanted something a bit fancy for a date night meal before a show. This restaurant is exactly what we had in mind. The dishes offered are unique and contain very fresh ingredients. Its obvious the staff care about the customers and whether or not you're enjoying your stay and the meal. Highly recommend trying a NA cocktail. The chilled glasses were a bonus!

As a carnivore I went to a purely out of love for my cousin but left smitten! The experience was peaceful, beautiful and delicious! Tips for me was the wild mushrooms with sofrito rice. Definitely did not expect to see sofrito rice on a menu here! The brown butter hollandaise was perfection. For dessert the chocolate tart was everything one should be: a firm, deep and dark, blanket of chocolate that you can just wrap yourself up into with accompaniments I would have never considered: a Sauvignon Gris with caramel and porcini cocoa dust. Washed down with amaro nonini. The service was also amazing, and the vibe cozy and intimate.

First time eating at Comune and I enjoyed it a lot.

The food was incredible- we ordered 7 dishes and each was delicious. A few notes:

- definitely get the fried rice, the flavor and texture were so good!
- we got the bread and spreads AND the sourdough special. I was worried it would be too much bread but they were both different in their own way and I was glad I got both.
- do not skip the gem salad- this was a definite highlight of the meal, lots of fresh peas and delicious croutons and chunks of blue cheese.
- spring vegetable platter also good.
- my least favorite dish was the pasta (dumplings), but it was still really good.
- dessert is also well done, we got the chocolate pudding. Nicely complimented with raspberries and hazelnuts.

Service attentive but not pushy.

This place reminded me a bit of SOW plated, maybe because they both are vegetable forward. But the food at Comune is better and the vibe is a little less Los Angeles at Comune and more community style.

Will be back!

Wonderful vegan/vegetarian restaurant...and I am neither! Small plates to share were out of this world. I didn't know many of the words on the menu, but the tastes were wonderful! Delicious wines and aperitifs. Tiny space with a lovely outdoor space. You will not be disappointed!

This place is very cool. Let me start out by saying it's not for everyone. There is for, instance no meat on the menu, instead there are 10 or more small plate options which are quite delightful. We had the pita bread and spreads small plate, and the person next to me told me that there are asparagus plate was the best asparagus he's ever had. They had a lovely group at the bar helping us out, we had beer and wine, but there were plenty of good looking mixed drinks being made. It was also quite full. Not a huge place, but it was definitely hopping.

The best restaurant in Columbus! Every dish is unique and there are tons of gluten-free and vegan options. Service has always been excellent and the restaurant itself is full of luscious plants. Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We did a full evening buyout of Comune for our wedding reception on a Saturday in early October. This was the best planning decision we could have made.

Comune rearranged the restaurant, created a custom nine-course menu, and hosted a cocktail hour on their patio as well. The manager Andrea was so helpful and we felt completely confident having her set the menu and drink list, which was well-rewarded. The staff was wonderful, e.g. they were going up to guests to offer to replace drinks during our cocktail hour. They even made us a blackberry lemon cake as a surprise since we didn’t have a cake.

The food was so good, and we kept hearing about this from our guests. The restaurant is so pretty anyway, we loved the light and we just brought in some of our own flowers. We don’t miss dancing and wanted to spend all night talking with our guests so this was perfect for us. The price was very reasonable and a steal compared to wedding prices. If you don’t want to stress about chairs and printing menus and just want to eat great food with people you love I can’t recommend this restaurant more for any event.

Delicious food, great vibes, no better spot in Columbus. Favorites included the halloumi, sweet potatoes, and stuffed pepper. Also love that they have tasty nonalcoholic wines on the menu.

Comune has to be on my top list of restaurants in Columbus. An absolute must try. Don’t worry if you are not vegetarian or Vegan, you won’t miss it at all!

I rarely have a meal where everything is so creative and tasty. The dishes are designed to be shared and passed among everyone. You have the chance to try so many different items. Also, Don’t worry about trying to understand all of the ingredients, just go for the experience because it all tastes amazing!

The drinks are exquisite as is the service. Additionally, they change the menu seasonally. I can’t wait to go back for the summer menu!!

Very vegan friendly. Nice, chill environment. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Food has a lot of flavor and even had vegan desserts that's not just sorbet. Staff also worked with pairing food and drinks with me. Great place for a celebration of any kind.

Consistently good and very well priced ($80-100 for two people w/ drinks), the blown-up gas station next door really adds to the ambience. Some dishes on the menu are different every time which makes it fun to go even if you've tried every dish that season.

This place is superb. Clean interior, friendly and knowledgeable servers, top notch vegetarian food with a rotating menu. We almost skipped on the current peach and cucumber salad, to which our server said “are you sure, its decadent”. She was right, it is really special. Fresh, light, creamy, sweet and savory. The homemade pita bread is something special too, fresh out of the oven and drizzled in olive oil and salt. Wow! Such a great place.

Exceptional restaurant. The vibe and ambience is perfect, the drinks are perfect (big shout for the interesting and high quality non-alcoholic options). And the food of course was superb. Each course stepped it up, and the dessert (chocolate “cake” and the mandarin sorbet) were on another level. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

I dated myself recently on a whim. This was a vibe! I enjoyed the peach and cucumber salad, which I wasn’t sure if I would. It was very refreshing and surprising filling. I then stuffed myself to the brim with their tahdig. It was giving chipotle bowl on steroids with a Smokey Indian twist. Loved it. Greatly appreciate a seasonal menu as well. Definitely will be back!

Loved the spring menu!
Highlights:
Goat cheesecake, delicious light and fluffy!
Rice pilaf, so crispy and well flavored.

Everything else was delicious too. Overall, great service, great food.

I don't think words can do the dishes here justice; just stop what you're doing and go to Comune right now! You can tell a lot of culinary genius went into this menu. Your tastebuds will go on a flavorful journey of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern influence; be ready for explosions of flavor! Each dish had so many bright, vibrant, well-balanced, and refreshing components. I'm not vegetarian, and I didn't miss meat for a second. The dishes were extremely satisfying too. Dessert was super unique -- I barely knew what I was eating (lol), but it was very tasty. You can easily have three amazing, fully vegan courses here. Service was fast and all-around positive. This was one of the best sets of dishes I've eaten at a restaurant in Columbus, and honestly, amongst the best I've had anywhere! I'll be back very soon!

LOVE Comune! I come every time I’m in Columbus and it never disappoints. Breads & Spreads is truly an iconic dish. Got the tempura cauliflower (amazing) and mushroom pappardelle (scrumptious)—both I’d recommend to a friend. Oh AND their spicy mezcal cocktail was 🌶🌶🌶

UPDATE: Comune still rocks, and their feature cuisine night are super delectable. I have a ranking system for Columbus restaurants, and Comune is the anchor 10. Need I say more!

Vegan mushroom ragu is the best pasta dish I have had in my entire life. Bread app is to die. The place is positively adorable. Had a divine experience and dream of that pasta. Desserts are so cute and delicious.

Very tasty vegetarian spot, full on flavors and experience, with super cocktails. Definitely big portions and solid flavors, delicious and filling. Clean, modern interior with simple colors, trendy but unpretentious staff, elegant and yet with a sense of humor. Accommodating, personal, sophisticated, and fresh. Fun and simple menu. Savory and healthy - and quite a crowd. Reservations recommended during peak times. Order everything.
