Everyone that I had to communicate with from the front desk to the officers checking in the belongings I brought in for my son. They all were amazing and very helpful. Made me feel comfortable with what I was doing.

My son was here for two years (2017-2019). As a parent and new to mental illnesses this was a very scary time for me. Reading negative reviews and hearing horrible experiences is frightful for a parent when they have a child with a mental illness. The drs psychiatrist security guards social workers were all amazing. The facility was clean and my son felt comfortable and safe. It took a couple months to get him stable but once they did he made continuous improvement to help manage his mental illness. Everyone has different experiences and those that have positive ones usually aren’t the ones to post so I wanted to share ours.

I am not going to trash talk this agency because I'm hoping my experience isn't representation of the whole unit but I will say that my experience has not been a good one in trying to contact people on the phone, particularly my son's social worker. Called four times for over a month no response until I called the supervisor. And then when she called me back, she was rude. It's stressful and scary when you have a love one with mental illness. The last thing you need is to treated with a lack of compassion and concern. Makes me wonder how my son is being treated.
I have received more help from the security guard. They do answer their phone. . They were kind compassionate and provided comforting information. Which is all I needed.

My son has been waiting for a bed for 2 months now. I cannot get anyone to help me, they just keep giving me the run around! Hopefully they actually help him if he ever gets in there.

This facility is unprofessional on so many levels and has no respect of the patient's family interest at all..
How can organization take upon themselves to overlook a patients rights by not allowing family members to know what Action Plan to help an patient be successful upon release..

Christopher Stewart for instance is/has been a victim of Summit lack
from them releasing him in my care without proper Medication and other resources which resulting in him returning.
This last one is really interesting.
LIFE essentials sent me a letter 6 /7/2019 requesting I sign WAIVER OF NOTICE AND CONSENT...Rosalie Markridis...No I will not...6/11/2019 she ask me WHY...because he has family who can make Medical and End of Life DECISION...she finds out she has family...Summit don't inform her his relationship with his family...she states she would back down so family can do the Guardian Package...because family is important...but 6/14/2019 they remove Christopher out of Summit...No family contact...even when he request they call his Sister...they told him they didnt have time...he is transported to Dayton...he ask worker to use his phone when he got there to call me.. I'm informed that he will not be able to call any family members for a week at best...because they don't have a phone service set up! So I can just imagine the Stress level him and his 80 year old mother is going to be experiencing because they talk on the phone an average of 3 to 4 hours a day...actually they are both depended on each other because she suffer from the same illness as Christopher but hers has been under controlled since shes being in the nursing home...Really Summit is this Legal...His worker at Summit Deonna H or his SSA.... nobody called us to tell us Christopher was leaving this facility.....as of 6/14.. Is this how Mentally Ill people is treated...has this been a RUSH PROCEDURE for someone's Monetary Gain...because Rosalie was a little irritated at me when she ask me...Why I want sign those papers! "NO" I want and I am making this clear on this Review...ANY MEDICAL DECISIONS IS TO DISCUSS WITH HIS FAMILY UNTIL WE GET THIS MESS STRAIGHTEN OUT!
