I am so thankful to have been connected with Mount Carmel Hospice. It was comforting to know that I could contact them at any time day or night and would receive immediate help. Having hospice provided the support that I needed to keep my husband at home until he passed peacefully. I cannot say enough good things about Mount Carmel Hospice. Sherry Hull

Mt. Carmel Hospice provided excellent care for my father. I loved that I could call anytime with any question or need and someone was always available. They made us, as family members, part of the decision-making team. His doctor was great, his social worker was so caring and his nurses were wonderful. His case manager nurse was superb and each nurse who visited always treated dad with dignity and respect. I would highly recommend this hospice.

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to take pictures of your staff. But I am really impressed and brought to tears to how attentive and compassionate the Mt. Carmel Hospice Staff is treating my Mother at Wexner Heritage Village. I change to Mt. Carmel a month ago. I am so thankful that you are doing everything you can to make sure my Mother is comfortable. Thank you Jesus! Answered prayer. Thank you so much!!!!

My mother-in-law was recently in St. Ann's/Mt Carmel Hospital Hospice Care until she passed peacefully. Not only did the nurses there give her round the clock care but they also gave us round the clock care. They were fantastic and made a difficult situation much easier to handle. They were always asking if we needed anything providing blankets, pillows, snacks and drinks at all hours of the day or night. Thank you all sooooo very much for your wonderful care.

We could have never had a better group of caring professional people!! We were included in everything!! Our nurse Nancy was great. Mom looked forward to seeing her every week, as did we.
Thank you so very much ❤❤

My father had superb professional attention and TLC from the team at Mt Carmel Hospice. They were so supportive of us as a family and kept us well informed. In addition, in a difficult residential care situation, they advocated helpfully for us.

Cheryl Hittinger and her team we’re absolutely the most caring and thoughtful staff I could have hoped for in the toughest time in my life. Thanks for all you do!

Met with the intake person named KATHY on Friday 3/29/19. Just found out my aunt was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and esphogus cancer. She was released Friday am, and then we met KATHY later that evening. She was extremely rude, not compassionate at all. Made a comment like “ yea I’d like to get out of here sometime tonight”. She put her hand over a cousins childs mouth to Shush him. Was extremely condescending when asking about the bed she wanted from the hospital as if we couldn’t afford it and commented “ you’d have to pay for it”! Yesssss we know this and didn’t care. The nurse Mary was much nicer but KATHY needs to find a new job!! I called and made a complaint as well!

My mother was in hospice, briefly, then was moved to palliative care. The people with hospice discharged my mother & proceeded to lie to me & my father. The stated that palliative care was just like hospice except they treat the patient. Lie number one. They said my mother would have 2 nurse's & 2 aids per week. Lie number two. They dropped my mother & left her without care for 10 days. Palliative care did absolutely nothing for my mother. They called me once from a restricted number & when I asked for a phone number & they refused to give me one. I hope when someone needs hospice or palliative care they DO NOT USE MT. CARMEL. There's a reason they're in the news lately, unfavorably of course. Bad care. I wouldn't take my dog to My. CARMEL. People: Beware.

Company doesn’t explain to the community what they are doing , they take advantage of the elderly and are not allowing families to choose which agency they want to use at the end of life. Shame on you!

I am giving this place 1 ⭐ because I need to leave a review. So my best friends mom was in this hospital with terminal cancer and was discharged to Mount Carmel hospice and this is the worst place I have ever seen. I have been a private caregiver for 25 years. And I have held many hands during this crucial time of life. Coming into to this house seeing and hearing the things I have heard and seen is heartbreaking. This lady is 61 years young and she is not only getting neglected but she is in so much pain that she is not able to take the next step of life and pass away comfortably and with dignity. My heart hurts for this family. They are losing their mother, Their best friend there rock. Meanwhile they are watching her go through this and they don’t know what to do to make their mom feel better or pass easier. I am here with this family and we are in the mix of switching agencies. Yes switching agencies in the middle of their mom passing away. How messed up is that. Please don’t let your loved ones go home on hospice with this place Mount Carmel Hospice . Hospice is supposed to be a very comfortable, peaceful time not only for the patient but also for the family.
