Original Playboy Mansion

What an impressive historical building. The transformation of the old Playboy mansion to residence seems to be a great use of space. The outside has such an impressive Presence on the street. You should check out the neighborhood.

Hef's original residence until 1971. Playboy was for my generation what subsequent computer innovators accomplished, although McLuhan was right since technology is responsible for the dumbing-down in today's cynical society. As for the 2002 A&E documentary, they are not telling the truth. Hugh Hefner was an honest man. He was not a liar. North America is still puritanical while Playboy was a class act, erotic but never ever vulgar. The chaotic internet now is the opposite with negative graphic images.

There's no entry to get inside(obviously) but you can take pictures in front. :)

My sister and I drive by it all the time during the Christmas Holidays because the area is so beautiful.

Now this is private residence now, so you can just look from the outside. That also means it's free, so come get a look of Chicago history!
