Skok Meadow

Skok Meadow is how I first fell in love with Girdled Road Reservation. I love going here and each season holds a different type of beauty. GRR will forever be my favorite park in Lake County. There was a time I went here DAILY, and I wish I still lived close enough to do so.

Ample opportunity for many levels of exercise...from sauntering the meadow and birdwatching, to a hike or run down into the valley that makes Girdled Road Reservation a scenic location with ravines, river, waterfalls and wildlife. Beautiful wooded trails, hills, meadows and ponds/wetlands. Skok Meadow is one of three main entrances to the park, and the whole park is accessible via trails...a 10 mile hike is a real option. Bridle trails! Get back to nature!!!

Once Farmland is now a habitat for birds and insects. Beautifully maintained paths, restrooms and trash cans. Good hike for older kids

Beautiful meadow when everything is blooming. Has a fun little bridge & a calm little waterfall after you hike down the steep part. Dense forest deeper into the valley - might lose cell reception.

Great trail! Peaceful, nice paths, good scenery and one that I will definitely come hike again.

Beautiful trail and not at all crowded. Very hilly. I would recommend starting from another parking lot if you have a dog because of the rope bridge.

Winter solitude on the Oak trail. There are lots of hills for a challenge and a couple bridges for excellent water views and sounds. I have seen walkers, cross-country skiers, and snow-shoers, but there are generally not a lot of people. The terrain varies significantly depending on the weather. Perfect if you are looking for a quiet afternoon in the woods. (Wear good boots!)

Nice variety of hiking from easy to difficult. Great variety of landscaping and creeks and a rope bridge crossing.

Nice place for a quick light hike/walk. The new overlook is beautiful. Definitely worth a trip if you're in the area.

Well maintained park that's perfect for mountain bikes, joggers, horseback. I ride the trails on a onewheel (electric board) and it is perfectly challenging and equally scenic!

Very nice trails and super clean park. The trail down to the bridge is a little steep but worth it and very fun! There is another trail that's more flat.

Skok is a beautiful park with asphalt, loose gravel, and dirt trails. There are trails that circle around a pond and others go deep into the woods and on cliffs. My favorite trail is the main one that leads you to a suspension bridge that crosses the Chagrin River. It's peaceful and beautiful.

Lived very close to this park and tonight was the first time visiting. There are many openings to different areas of the park. Tons of trails and ponds to explore. You can fish in some of the ponds too. It would be a PERFECT spot for pictures too! We will definitely be exploring there again soon.

Beautiful park with 10+ miles of trails. Many different options for length and difficulty. Good restroom facilities. Water fountain with dog bowl.
Lots of hills for running and hiking.
Watch out for horse droppings on the trails.
Great place for dogs; lots of places for dogs to swim and drink along the paths.

My Girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, even though she is a hot tub sitting, pretty pillow princess. The bridge was steady and fun with plenty of Shrek related laughs along the way. The terrain both downward and back upward was an adventure to remember.

A nice park for a flat open field walk to a viewpoint. You can also take a spur trail down the valley and connect to the rest of the Girdled Road reservation for a much longer and challenging hike along the creek.

A very beautiful place with lots of opportunities for the photographer. Easy trails and more challenging trails. The picnic shelter is clean and close by is a fire pit. Lots of nature everywhere you look.
