THE CHOCOLATE a dessert cafe

If you’re looking for a place to get dessert, THIS is the place! The atmosphere is so fun and the service is great! My favorite item is the Cazookie. You cannot go wrong with one of these! You can definitely share it, but you won’t want to… that’s how delicious it is.

I love The Chocolate! I’ve been many times and their desserts are really good! All their desserts are super rich so be ready for that! The classic is their cake of course and it does not disappoint but be ready for DEATH by chocolate if you do order anything 😂. The parking behind the building is way better than most places in Provo haha so that’s nice. Their cookie sandwiches are really good too.

The Chocolate is our favorite bakery to get special occasion cakes. This time we opted for the dark chocolate and raspberry heart shaped cake, and it did not disappoint!
The cake was rich, moist, chocolate was pleasantly dark omitting the bitterness. The raspberry coulis at the top gave a lovely tart note, and the fresh raspberries were very much appreciated.

Friday we got to go to The Chocolate in Orem on our field trip. Kajsia, the owner, came out and spoke to us about her bakery and her experience. The kids got to pick a comfortable seat or couch to sit in while they listened. Then she let each of us pick a cookies 😍...so many options. We got to eat the cookies on their front porch, which was so fun. Only one cookie wasn't finished and it was because the sweet girl wanted to take some home for her mom ❤. I love our community partners who let our kids come and practice their life skills. Thanks Kajsia for the seriously yummy cookies! And thanks Kaylynn Young for setting it up for us!

The Chocolate has some really great treats. I love the cakes which are moist and flavorful and the variety of cookie flavors make it hard to choose. The staff is always friendly and happy to give their thoughts when you're trying to decide! One other observation is that the owners really do care about the well-being of their customers which is not typical these days. Thank you for your shop which supplies our area with some homemade deliciousness!

We love The Chocolate! BEST place for cake, cookies, and all sorts of treats. “The Husband” cake by the slice is always my go to but I’ve liked everything I’ve tried and the ambiance is fun and intimate inside the cafe

My favorite dessert place. We come nearly every week 😅 it's SO GOOD. Their cakes are DIVINE and I order them for all our special occasions. Their chocolate coconut cake is the best one, in my correct opinion. Also really love the cherub. Their salted caramel pretzel cookies and the biscoff cookie are mouth watering. And the cazookie! It's never a disappointment coming here.

We used their catering service for our wedding! The cake was delicious and all our guests loved it. It was refrigerated, which did make it difficult to cut. If their staff is available to do the cake cutting service, I would recommend using them because it was difficult to cut. Otherwise, it was amazing! We did a small churro cake to cut and then did churro sheet cakes for everyone else!

Amazing cakes and cookies. Liz helped me with my giant cookie order for work and made sure everything was taken care of for me. She gave amazing customer service and helped me when the other employee working wouldn't. The cookies and cakes are to die for and the Orem location is so fun to go to. Order from The Chocolate as soon as you can if you haven't already and make sure you have Liz helping you!

The owner is so nice! She let me use the space to propose to my girlfriend. The decorations are beautiful and there is a lot of space and separate rooms. The chocolate cake is also very delicious.

If you don’t absolutely love the chocolate, you’re insane. This is a favorite date night experience. You may want to try avoiding peak hours because it can get a littler crowded, not too crazy but a less intimate experience. The warm cookies with ice cream is heaven. Don’t get too exotic though because the best one is the chocolate chip. It’s a fun, cute dessert shop.

I love The Chocolate! I've been coming here for years. Literally everything on the menu is delicious but especially the Cazookie--highly recommend! Great for a 1st date or a 50th;) Go earlier to beat the crowds on the weekends. Fun for families during the day when it's not so crowded. New management has done a fantastic job with the takeover--we only miss those yummy funfetti cookies! Such a chill, nice atmosphere! FOH staff are kind and friendly! Can't say enough good things! Also their cake orders are a breeze, we've used them several times for birthdays etc.

Some of the best cake, cookies, pizookies or other desserts around. Did our wedding cake with them and it was stellar!!. Also have had their pizookies and hot cocoa in house and both were amazing! The pizookies especially 🔥 And then I also tried to get a cake there one time but got sick and couldn’t pick up the cake until a couple days later and they were kind enough to offer me a refund or bake another cake for me. If you’re in Utah, definitely have to check them out sometime 🙌

Love this place! I haven’t eaten any treat here that I didn’t like. The old house makes your experience have an interesting atmosphere. Their cake is phenomenal and their skillet cookies are a great treat to share!

I am a bit of a food snob. When my daughter was getting married I sampled cakes from 6 or 8 wedding cake bakers in town and was disappointed in all of them. I was about resigned to make her wedding cake myself, until I drove past The Chocolate. I pulled in and sampled one of their cakes. It was exactly what we were looking for. Now our family gets all our cakes from The Chocolate

The staff is really warm and pleasant, and always bend over backwards to take care of you. It's a really quaint, vintage home that they turned into the cafe and so every room had a unique feel, with its own color, art, and furniture. Great place to come hang out and get delicious sweet food. The chocolate chip cazookie is my favorite dessert here, but their cakes and cookies are amazing as well.

I've been here many times now and I am always greeted by the kind people working here. Their desserts looks super good! I'm not a fan of super sweet things so I usually come here to grab some for my friends and they loved it. Delicious! :D

I love this place! I come here with a friend and we almost always get a slice of the special weekend cake, and a cazookie (fresh baked cookies topped with a large scoop of ice cream!) and then split them.

Every weekend they do a special cake flavor that’s only available that Thursday-Saturday, and these are the ones I like to come try.

They also sell other treats like cookies, brownies, eclairs, hot chocolate, etc. and they sell whole cakes and do orders for wedding cakes.

This place is amazing. Every dessert is so good. The cake, cookies and pazookies are my favorites!

Restaurant review, and catering review:
Restaurant: trendy, eclectic, cozy interior. Usually very crowded any evening and hard to find seating. Expect to see lots of college-aged students on dates, and girl roommate groups. The Cazookie is the thing to get here - it’s a 8” diameter underbaked delicious cookie served warm with ice cream. Easily shareable between 2 people. Takes about 10 minutes. Highly recommend.
Catering: we had them do several cakes for our wedding. No regrets. They people delivering were professional, timely, and the cakes were beautiful.

I’m posting the menu/prices so they hopefully don’t raise them again.
