Lager Heads BBQ Smokehouse

My husband and I were going to try a new restaurant and we wanted to give this place a try after the ice festival.
The wait was about 20 minutes- but honestly everywhere was busy.
Once we got seated, the service was really good and not a long wait at all! We were so surprised with the price for the amount of food you got!
I ordered smoked brisket and it was really tasty! It came with a side of choice and cornbread! Both really good.
Next time, I think my hubby and I could get away with just sharing a meal. Really good bang for your buck and good atmosphere too.
Will be back!

They were able to accommodate my food allergies. The food was delicious! I never have had sweet potato tator tots before!!! I'm still craving more the next day! The BBQ sauce was very delicious also not super sweet but not super spicy it was perfect ! I wanted to buy a bottle. My husband also enjoyed his smoked brisket.

I was enamored by the whole vibe, especially around the holidays. Warm, inviting, all with a great food selection. The pork cracklins are a must; they are served hot and crackling. The smoked chicken Philly was out of this world. The whole wings were smoked just right. Worth visit or 5 and ill be back for great food and a great atmosphere

Service was the best part. the food is amazing! Order nachos very good, but also got Lager Melt o my goodness amazing!!!

Wonderful delightful, environment, Melissa our server was a charm ahead on things. We had the clam bake with ribs. PERFECT! All was perfect until we realized, I'd locked the keys in the car. Then it was Marissa to the RESCUE 🛟. The cook had a buddy with a garage & a way in. We were on our in a short time. This smoky house and BBQ joint has the most amazing food. Holy cow! It hits the senses; taste, sight, smell, texture. So much smokey flavor in every bite. The brisket was perfectly succulent with that light crispy bark on the outside. The baked beans are amazing; beautifully slow cooked with bits of smoked beef to add an unexpected depth of flavor. The collard greens, had that cooked for hours richness and was not overwhelmed by some type of salty meat. It did have a tad too much vinegar for my palate, but certainly didn't slow me down. The portion size was massive. After what I ate at the restaurant, I have enough take away for 3 more servings. But, I heard carrot cake calling my name; therefore, space had to be reserved in the ole gut. So worth it. The gigantic slice appeased three of us with enough take home for two more servings. (at least) Well done Lager Heads, well done.👏 I applaud you. (The interior lighting wasn't the best for picture quality.)

You know how you could go to Texas Roadhouse just for the rolls, you can say the same thing about the cornbread here. It's that good. Also brisket is very difficult to make well and I wouldn't risk it at most places but it's literally the best I've had 10/10. Of course I was too scared to order it, but my wife did and I wish I had.

Lager Heads is always great. Switched it up last time we were there and got 2 Mac and cheese bowls. Took leftovers home and still didn't eat it all. Brisket chili was great. Normally, get the pulled pork or chicken. Never had bad food here, and staff is always friendly. Drive roughly 35 min for Lager Heads and never disappoints.

Stopped here for lunch with my son and so glad we did. He got the brisket Mac and cheese and I got the brisket dinner. Both were fantastic and huge portions. He took half his brisket Mac home. The cornbread was amazing and super sweet, almost dessert like.

We had a birthday dinner here today! The food and service were both great! Staff is super friendly and very accommodating. Thank you Lager Heads! We will be back!!

Great BBQ pork and chicken. I tried Big Butt. It is pulled pork in a Hoagie bun. Love it. I think this is one of the best places I had BBQ pulled pork.
My wife had BBQ ranch wedge with BBQ pulled chicken. I am not eating chicken, but tasted it and was excellent!!!

Y’all it’s been three years since we moved back to Ohio from Texas. Been three years since I had legit bbq until tonight. The service was stellar, the atmosphere was great and the food was on point!!

Great food, great service, nice outdoor eating area to soak up the sun. Their appetizers are so delicious that you could make a meal out of them, especially the fried cauliflower and the onion rings!! Their half chicken was delicious. The brisket was a touch on the dry side, but had great flavor. Their coleslaw has good flavor, spiced with dill, and their cornbread muffins are yummy 👍👍

This has been a regular spot for us to go for years! Took my team from work here and everyone loved it. Great food, amazing drinks. Bedhead Red is my personal choice. Wings are always on point.

We enjoy dinning here. We have not been here in a long time, but the food is excellent and the portions are just right. I had the big but pulled pork sandwich and my wife had the pulled chicken sandwich. Both were very delicious. Our server was very attentive.

Great choices of craft draft beer and a good size menu. Lots of atmosphere in the barroom. Not too busy for lunch. It’s a bit out on the country. The beer is reasonably priced for a generous pour. They have about 6 drafts available. I had the IPA as I am a connoisseur of ipas and it was great. Just the right amount of bitterness. The best deal was the 22oz pour for just $.50 more. Wow! Great food and reasonably priced. Our waitress was the best on 16 June at around 2pm.

Very friendly barmaid, beer was great, pork rinds were great, very good Cole slaw and the Brisket Reuben was awesome!

Really worth the trip! Their brisket is fall apart tender, and their tall beers are ACTUALLY tall. I had the brisket reuben and was wildly satisfied.

Barn burner beer, pulled pork dinner, and smoked chicken are go to dishes here. The atmosphere is fun, like an old barn with lots of pork themed photos and signs. Weekends are usually busy, but staff is friendly, and quality is always still good.
