Yellowstone West Gate Hotel

Their breakfast is the best I have ever had. They have a hall facilitated with a kitchen for the breakfast. There is a staff member cooking in the kitchen. You can see what she is making there. The egg, sausage, bacon and potatoes are hot and fresh. There is a machine making pancakes automatically. Their pancakes are very good. There is also fruit, juice, coffee, milk and hot chocolate as other hotels serve. Their hot food part is my favorite.

First time here! We stayed for two nights so we could be close to Yellowstone National Park and it’s super close to the west entrance. Indoor pool and hot tub. Hot Breakfast available. Tons of parking available around the hotel. Laundry room available ($2 for wash & dry each, $1.00 for detergent). Business center available with copier and fax machine. Downtown restaurants and shops available within walking distance. The Husband and wife team at night was awesome! Only complaint I have is we stayed on the first floor and had no pets and all we could hear is the dogs barking at the time. I wish they would of moved us to the floor with no animals since we booked months in advance.

Very friendly staff. Breakfast was hot and different each day. Had a great stay. Defintly not a 2 star hotel, 4 star for sure. Would recommend. Bathroom was small would be only downfall.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay (4D3N). We were surprised it was only given 2 stars, because everything -- room, staff, breakfast, etc. -- was better than expected. The room was really clean, and the bed was so comfy. Tons of tv channels. Bathroom was clean though not elaborate. The staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming. And the distance to the shopping and eating places was just less than 5 minute drive. Distance to the Yellowstone West Entrance was about the same. Breakfast was not fancy but good stuff to start off the day. Just a perfect place to rest after an adventurous day in Yellowstone. Will definitely return to the same hotel!

Good stay, clean rooms. Need to ask for housekeeping night before, but no phones in room to contact front desk. Breakfast was good with hot and cold options.

We checked in on July 4th and leave in a couple days. 8 nights total. The first night of our stay we walked across the street and watched an incredible fireworks show that looked like it was right above us, it was a great way to start the vacation! So far we have loved this hotel! The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is great, it's not the "grab and go" I kept seeing reviews about, it's mostly a normal continental breakfast with eggs, meat, potatoes, cereal, pancakes, waffles, bagels, toast, etc. They have a coffee station that seems to be brewed all day for the guests. Our room (2 queens and a sofa bed) was very clean and serviced everyday while we were at the park. I even saw staff wiping down the hallway handrails every day. It is on the opposite end of town from the park entrance (only about a mile) and downtown excitement but it's worth it after driving past the rest of the lodging options in the area. This seems to be the most well-kept. Getting into the park didn't take us more that 15-20 minutes in line at the west entrance so the location is great. The pool was enjoyable, laundry was accessible and they can trade you for quarters at the desk which was convenient. Definitely recommend and would stay here again. There was plenty of storage for clothes (family of 4), the beds were as comfortable as I've had at a hotel, the only thing I would recommend to the hotel would be to put some kind of shelf/storage in the bathroom with the shower so guests have somewhere to set their clothes and such when showering. I ended up putting a luggage rack in there with an empty bag on it. Other than that we are loving our stay so far!

Came here in 2021 and here now and absolutely love it here. Anytime I come to Montana / West Yellowstone, this is where I'll stay. Great clean rooms and the staff is great.

Clean and close to Yellowstone entrance. Pool and hot tub was clean and in working order. Everything worked well. Friendly staff. Not the Hilton but we enjoyed our stay.

Check in was easy and rooms were large and had an organized layout. (suite's were especially big) Hotel was nicely cleaned and even included a functioning swimming pool and hot tub. Breakfast was wonderful with a variety of drinks and baked goods. Fresh breakfast meats were available and were even complemented by eggs! Highly recommend!

Had 2 rooms, some problems with the plumbing in both rooms but otherwise excellent. Greg and Lynda checked us in and told us about some sights for the park. They were excellent and very helpful.

Location was perfect, great service and very informative at the desk of what to do in the area. The rooms were comfortable and we had a view of the forest which was great.

The hotel was clean and well taken care of. The staff was exceptional with customer service. Always friendly answering questions or just making casual conversation that made you feel welcome.. The breakfast was good but does get busy first thing in the morning when it opens at 0630. Definitely would stay here again if visiting the area.

1. Location: less than 1 mile from Yellowstone west entrance. Lots of restaurants nearby.
2. Room: not fancy but very clean. There is hair dryer in the room.
3. Breakfast: they change hot breakfast items every few days and it's delicious.
4. Staff: there are staff there for late check in (we checked in around 10pm). All the staff are very friendly.

Great staff, extremely clean facilities. Hot tub was down but to the rescue came the dedicated maintenance man ( wish I got his name). Front desk staff Very accommodating and nice. Lastly Rosalinda does a FANTASTIC job with the breakfast bar. She works really hard and keeps everything clean...the food stocked and fresh...Thanks for a Great experience.

Rooms were clean!! Breakfast was the best we have had on this vacation. Many items were GF.
TV picture worked but could not expand it to the whole screen.

The room was very clean and comfortable. We loved the pool and hot tub. Close and easy to get to Yellowstone entrance. The breakfast offered tons of choice and was very good! We would recommend.

Hotel was clean. Breakfast is definitely far better than other restaurants at the same price range. I felt it is little over priced. Other than that, it's a great place to stay. Best location. 5 mins to Yellowstone national park and 10 mins away from everything you would need.

Room was decent, breakfast above average. Good shower pressure. Seems clean. What really made this place worthwhile was John and the rest of the staff that were very friendly. Took the time to give us a run down of the area and made some suggestions around town.

Very nice staff, real hot breakfast, good accommodation, and close to West Yellowstone. We stayed here with 4 families and young kids. We had a very pleasant stay here. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying here on July 4th Night. We were lucky to here on July 4th. The FIREWORK goes almost just behind the hotel building and it can be viewed from their parking lot. Many of our friends saw the firework for the 1st time "at very close - almost in front of you" -- awesome experience.
