City Market

Everything's here. A well done grocery store. Exceeded my expectations, and they are high. I love small chain or family owned grocery stores. Traveling like we do throughout the states, we make an effort to walk into unknown stores and see how the locals shop. City Market is the kind of market I wish I had in our neighborhood at home. All the standard items, but then loaded with specialty items, cheeses, beverages, deli, organic produce, a bakary. It is the quintessential gormet neighborhood market.

I wouldn’t usually care enough to give a review but Yasmin at the self checkout area is absolutely crushing it all the time. She was the only person at the self checkout there tonight with like 40 customers. She always has an amazing attitude and works so hard. I really appreciate her.

We stopped by City Market Food & Pharmacy to get basic stuff for our vacation. The market was full of fresh fruits, vegetables and all the necessary stuff. I overall loved the vibe here and employees were also helpful in guiding me to the stuff. The checkout was also an easy process.

Dennia was fantastic at the coffee stand this morning. Above and beyond. Give her a promotion!

I just ran into Patty who has been managing the store for quite a few years. The staffing situation is so challenging in our valley. It is so good to know that the team is doing anything they can to make our local grocery store the nice place it is. Much appreciation for all that the team does!! 🙏🏻

Staff was friendly and upbeat during my recent visit; I really appreciate Melissa; I had never met her before but she was quick and efficient at bagging my groceries, carrying on a pleasant conversation about the great deals in the store, and lending me more than a hand during my purchase. It was fun to see the teamwork that evening and I noticed the other customers nearby seemed entertained as well. Keep up the jovial attitude, and give your checkers and baggers a raise!! (they deserve it)

Friendly, helpful staff. Well stocked. Wide aisles. The parking spaces are a bit narrow so most people park over the line it seems but other than that, no complaints.

I believe your workers throughout the store are wonderful. Do you as management think it is way over the top to enclose cashiers in plastic boxes to ring up our purchases? I do and it changes the shopping experience. NOT necessary in GWS. Thanks.

I love this City Market! Alex and Luis are both incredible employees. Alex has such a wonderful personality and provides excellent customer service. Luis went above and beyond! Hands down, Luis provided the best customer service when he overheard me talking to my roommate about how I was upset they were out of something I needed to make a soup. He asked what it was I was looking for, went into the back, and then found me elsewhere in the store with an entire case of zucchinis for me to choose from! I was blown away; what an amazing employee you have! Thank you both so much for your incredible customer service!

This place has everything you need, fresh produce, fruits and meats. Super clean and a huge variety. This is our go to place when we come and visit Glenwood Springs! Highly recommend!

Definitely where the locals shop. They have a great selection and great prices. My favorite thing is they source a lot of local products and they do an excellent job of signage to signify which items are Colorado Proud. They have convenient hours as well. It's in a super convenient location, right on Grand Ave. If you have a King Soopers or a City Market members account you can earn credit and get discounts at a lot of participating gas stations. Many employes have been there for a long time so if you're a frequent shopper you'll see familiar faces and I always think it's a good sign when an employer has good retention. Their parking lot is probably my only complaint. It can be crowded and a little confusing.

You guys should definitely go at this store it has fresh food u should definitely go !!

The connection I see between the employees at City Market reminds me of a restaurant I worked at in Cleveland. Effective management in any business involves creating an environment that allows its employees to grow personally. This Allows the task of running a grocery store to get done, and at the same time allows its employees to pursue the goal of personal growth. This creates a positive - positive work environment. Meaning, its a positive outcome for CITY MARKET and a positive outcome for its employees.

Glenwood store hss a Great new Scan, Grab and Go program, second one in the state. Great way to shop without checkout lines. Must check it out

This City market isn't City Market in El Jebel but, it does a great job trying to keep up. Excellent layout, items, and staff all serve to make this City Market more personal and strong than City Market El Jebel!

Great place to shop, run into friends & do small town visiting in the store. Has all you need & want in one-stop shopping. Don't forget to get Ixe cream!

It had everything we needed at good and competitive prices and they opened up 3 registers when all the registers had only 2-3 people in line! Check out was quick & easy!

Easy to get around and all employees are courteous and friendly and ready to assist you.
