Ruby Ru's Street Eatery

I have been searching for a good Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The spice profile is dead on, the heat is slow build and delightful. The chicken is insanely crispy and super moist. Everything on the menu looks awesome and after this, I look forward to trying more (if I can convince myself to order something other than the hot chicken!). Service was fast and friendly. This is a cool little spot. If you're on the fence, give them a try! And maybe order ahead on their website. Went at noon on a Monday and the place was pretty busy.

Ordered takeout - the large bourbon chicken bowl and large banh mi bowl.
Both were delicious! I especially liked the banh mi bowl. The bourbon chicken was good, but could have used more sauce. Also really liked the cajun potatoes and zucchini that we got on the side.
Prices are about average, but I will note that a large bowl was plenty for a single dinner.
I'm between a 4-5 for the rating, but because the food is good with unique options I'll give it a 5. Support your local businesses!

First time to Ruby Ru’s after seeking lunch suggestions on a Boulder County Foodie Group…the recommendation DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! I love a no frills, street eatery and Ruby Ru’s lives up to that. Staff was attentive, inviting, and personable.

The Bourbon Chicken was cooked perfectly! I really enjoyed their take on Hawaiian Mac Salad. Cajun potatoes killer!

Turkey Pesto Sandwich was super yummy! The pesto is incredibly delicious and the bread was the perfect complement to the sandwich..

Cost and portion size are spot on! 10/10 We will be coming back for sure!!!

This place is THE best. Cannot go wrong with the bourbon chicken. The mac and cheese is easily some of the best you'll ever have (mix it with the chicken and you'll have a flavor explosion in your mouth). The people behind the counter are wonderful and their story is one of chasing a dream and accomplishing it. Wholeheartedly, if you are in Lafayette, eat here.

This place is the BEST. I've eaten at Ruby Ru's a ton and have never been disappointed. My husband and I love them so much we had them cater our wedding. Our guests raved about the food and it was an absolute dream to have Ruby Ru's tacos on my wedding day. Highly recommend!

This place is awesome! Cool chill restaurant with great food - my favorite is the Banh Mi bowl. It's like food truck comfort eats. The service is fast and super friendly - they'll help you with anything you need. Really cool bright rainbow decor like 80s style. Good prices too. Definitely hit this place up.

Ruby ru’s street eatery is definitely one of the best places around these parts! I’ve really enjoyed the Cheeseburger sub, the bourbon chicken, teriyaki chicken and the rice and vegetables are always great. Staff is cool and quick to help you. Chill atmosphere and amazing food. The Mac and cheese is also some of the best I’ve had in Colorado. Makes me hungry just thinking about it!

This place is unbelievable. The bourbon chicken is the safe "gateway" meal. Wanna get crazy? Get the Banh Mi Bowl. Oh and the Mac and cheese is the best I've had. My kids (2/4) ate the whole thing. I live 6 hours away and anytime we get to the Denver area I make it a point to eat here if I ever get within 90 minutes.

Don't make it hard on yourself. This is where you want to eat.

Definitely a no frills, street eatery. It is really good though! My husband got the Philly cheesesteak and I go the street tacos. Chicken was good and seasoned and cooked nicely. Probably best for take out. It was all good.

Was out on my Sunday pig fest and found this gem of a store. Such a lovely place and so good. I swear I could've ate the whole store with how delicious it was. Would come back again and again for such a wholesome place. Wonderful staff

Came here on a complete whim, had their buffalo chicken finger sub, my gf had the nashville hot chicken and we shared some curly fries. All were really delicious, with great portions for the price. I definitely want to come back and try the bourbon chicken, Mac, and more, lots of intriguing items on the menu!

Fantastic neighborhood eatery...very popular with the local high school kids. A really good variety of sandwiches and other yummy stuff on the menu. I enjoyed the Bahn Mi salad...delicious! Highly recommend. Friendly fast service and reasonable $$!

Been a regular here for a good amount of time. Food is always delicious. They have gumbo on limited time. Omg a must try. Andouille sausage and shrimp in every bite. The flavor is amazing. Good job guys

This is great high quality eatery with many options for each persons preferred favorite food. I recommend the chicken over rice combos. The crispy cajon potatoes and Mac are a great side choice. The staff is friendly and attentive. I will be back to try other dishes.

This place is delicious. My wife and I order lunch from here at least once a week. They have healthy options that I really like, but their not-so-healthy options are also amazing. The jerk chicken bowl w/ slaw instead of mac salad is my absolute favorite.

I love Ruby Rus! I should probably try more of their menu items but I absolutely love their bahn mi bowl, their bourbon chicken, jerk chicken and their Mac salad.

Really good food. It’s a little more expensive than a typical quick service restaurant but the food is so much better than most. Plus you get so much food for the price. Nice hidden gem in Lafayette!
