Bill was so kind and helpful, as were everyone else who worked there! We popped in on our way to the farmers market and ended up leaving with so many beautiful pieces. If you're in Anchorage, definitely check it out!!

They have so many different furs and pelts to choose from. Their artisan crafts are beautiful and unique. Thank y’all for this GORGEOUS fur coat I can confidently wear going into Fur Rondy. Love it! Exquisite work!!!

Such a cool shop! I loved all the ivory and fossil pieces. Got some great gifts and the kids were excited to find stuffed animals which are the perfect size to put in your carry on. I imagine we will be going back before our trip is over because there is such a variety to choose from.

A true Alaskan experience. Everything in here gives you "Last Frontier" vibes. Even if you walk out empty handed, it's a cool shop to walk through! There's hundreds of furs in there. Pretty cool.

Best place for naturally tanned fur and skins. Loads of real native hand made art and clothing. This store is where the furriers and innovators come to buy their supply and the traditional art is kept and sold.

Coolest place ever! 😎 I never knew we had so many mini-museums in town! This one greets you right inside the door with all kinds of indigenous torsos above your head, so amazing, then you walk into a wonderland of native and local art wares which leads you around naturally to the furs, jackets, and eventually pelts. Some of the most gorgeous things I've ever seen and definitely felt 😍. There's something about fur, or petting fur that is good for the soul...

Shop Local! With an extensive selection of native arts and crafts, mammoth and walrus ivory, jade, gold, soapstone, fossils and a host of other treasures, Alaska Fur Exchange offers a collection of Native treasures for sale.
They also feature hand-made jewelry, baskets, masks, soapstone, ivory and bone carvings, fur products and so much more. Eskimo dolls line the shelves! I am so impressed by their store, offering the best of Alaskan gifts of the best kind! While you are in their store, check out their authentic furs from Alaska!

If you're looking for real Alaskana and good "souvenirs" it's a much better place to look than the shops downtown.

My favorite store in alaska!! The ladies working there gave me great information about some of the native artists and what makes their work so special. There are materials galore if you want to make your own jewelry or fur pieces. This shop has the most comprehensive collection of native jewelry and handicrafts in the state. The prices are competetive as well. Come here for one of a kind made in Alaska gifts!

I love this place so much, my mother drops off her sealskin slippers here. Amazing arts, regalia, carvings, pelts and more! Ask for Debbie on crystals and energies. She'll help you with what you are looking for.
