XP Gaming & Cafe

I've visited twice now, once for coffee right after they opened for the morning, and today for lunch and to hang out. Today's potato soup was amazing, and the grilled cheese was phenomenal. The soup was exactly what I wanted when I read "loaded potato soup" on the Facebook page, and I wasn't worried about waiting for it. The wait times may be a little higher, but rest assured you're getting a fresh meal from someone who cares. The owner was delighted that I loved her food and I could tell she really wanted me to have a good experience, and I did! I can't wait to go back and play games sometime 😄

This place is rad! 7 large tables, a lot of them are splittable for smaller parties. Ample distancing during COVID.
Decent food, basically bar food --I got the battered mushies & mozzarella sticks (not NJ style, but ok).
Lots of open games to play, & of course also to buy. Probably 1/2 the shelf space is Warhammer, then D&D, a corner of Magic, and a couple shelves of Misc goodness.
Look fwd to returning.

I'll be direct, I was quite surprised to find this gem of a games cafe in Elko. One of the first stops in our cross country gaming journey, and I was thrilled to find such welcoming gamers. Wonderful selection of in house games, easily the best coffee I found in town, and a clean community oriented space to play with friends and family. Thanks.

Love their tea and coffee options, good prices for drinks. Friendly service, great place to play and eat finger foods/sandwiches. My favorite drink is hot, the London Fog, in the largest size.

Great selection for coffee and non-coffee drinkers. It also has a lot of flavors to choose from, especially sugar-free syrups. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This place has an excellent atmosphere. It is a great place to sit and talk with friends or to play a game. I was really surprised at the quality of the food. It was much better than I expected. This place has the best grilled cheese. I have had 3 different soups from XP Gaming and they were all flavorful.

Best Coffee in town. I'm from the PNW and nothing brings me back home like a 12oz mocha from XP. I'm not a gamer and all I care about is great coffee. I've been to all coffee shops in Elko/SC, and this place makes the best most consistent cup of premier coffee. EXPECT TO TAKE YOUR TIME AND DO NOT RUSH THEM, locally owned and a beautiful small comfy spot.

All the food was perfectly prepared. You can tell the owner checks in to ensure quality.
Selection of teas is unsurpassed.
We enjoy Commander Wednesdays the most.

I wanted to check this cafe out for awhile. Family invited us for dinner and games. I'm thinking this place is loaded with geeks. Wait! I am one. Not disappointed- food, atmosphere, and games were great. Where else can you get beat at Yahtzee while eating amazing grilled sandwiches? Love it. Try it.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. This place has been our family favorite for a while. My favorite is the Cheese monster burger 🍔 I definitely recommend it and the sidewinder fries. Everyone here are always in a great mood. And it's a fun place to be

My first taste of food from XP was thru Door Dash. I ordered the Leroy Jenkins burrito. It was delicious; Crispy on the outside warm, loaded and gooey with cheese on the inside. 10/10 would order again.

I didn't try any of the food but did get the red bull drinks they helped me pick some new ones to try and I really enjoyed them. Very helpful staff

They have wonderful gaming going on like you can sit at a table with your family and play a fun board game while you wait for your delicious food and your premium drinks! The price is wonderful! All out my first experience an it was great!

As soon as I walked in, i was rocking out to the music, there's tons of tabletop games to play, the owners are such sweet people, and the food was so delicious! I loved it here. Definitely a gamer vibe that everyone can enjoy!

This was such an amazing find! We got blended coffees (highly recommend the butterbeer latte!), sandwhiches (there's seasoning in the bread that just took it to a whole new level), fries, and tortellini ceasar salad (a MUST). I have nothing bad to say for the food; we loved it.
The owners are super friendly and have excellent customer service. They helped make recomendations for the food and chatted as we waited. It's clear this place is a labor of love. Come out and support local!

Absolutely yummy sandwiches!! Well worth the wait. It's a small local place, my Dad and I were very hungry after moving my things into the Stor-All storage.
Gooey melted cheese, crisp grilled sourdough bread on my pastrami sandwich. My Dad also had potato salad with his steak sandwich which he enjoyed. 😃

Xp gaming is quite a popular for a certain type of crowd and if you're not the gaming sort of crowd they have an excellent menu from breakfast to sandwiches burgers and smoothies and Specialty drinks breakfast is ideal it is unique and very good a little pricey but worth the money

The atmosphere here is incredible, I've not seen any gaming shop or cafe like this before. We talked with the owner about the history and future of the shop, it's amazing how much he cares and all the love that's gone into every corner. Selection of games to purchase is broad if a little sparse, but there's sure to be a little something for everyone. There's also games available to play anytime, and a cozy menu of drinks and snacks for fuel. I can definitely see this being "the place" to be when I'm in town visiting family. Highly recommended even after just a short visit.
