When Dr Schmidt took over the practice, he continued the orthodontics care for our son. He and his staff have been wonderful to work with! He treats Ben with such dignity and respect. What’s so amazing is he has covered treatments because we had paid for prior work with the previous ortho. Great customer service Doc! Also, his staff are so kind and caring when working with our son. Thanks to all at Uniquely You Orthodontics!

Great experience with Dr. Schmidt and his staff! I had braces throughout high school but my teeth started to shift over the last few years. I ended up getting Invisalign and I am SO happy with my results. The entire process was a smooth experience and everyone was super friendly and very organized. I definitely recommend Uniquely You Orthodontics!

Can’t thank them enough for squeezing us in today to get my daughters braces off. They have accommodated us 100% of the time especially at the very end. They made special arrangements for us to come back in town and be there at 7 am this morning. So sad we moved out of state and our last kiddo won’t be part of this wonderful place. I will continue to highly recommend them to all my Tosa peeps. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You made a 15 year old very happy which made my almost two hour car ride home much more pleasant.

Dr. Schmidt takes great pride in finding and implementing the best solution for each patient. I can tell he takes the time to get things right and I really appreciate that level of care.

We just took my daughter here for a consultation. Dr. Schmidt and his team were very friendly and answered all our questions. We were able to schedule an appointment around our busy summer schedule and they worked with us on financing options. We highly recommend Dr. Schmidt!

Dr. Schmidt and staff were great. Accommodating and friendly. We always knew what to expect next and I never had a problem scheduling around my own busy schedule.

Dr Schmidt and his staff are very condescending and rude. One time after asking a question, Dr Schmidt literally asked me "Do you want the man answer or the Dr answer?" Reception and scheduling staff always seems put out when you call in, and everyone who works there seems generally miserable.

Once, on the same day as being put on, two brackets fell off of my daughters teeth and the wire came out- the same day!!! When I called to get her back in, I was told she'd have to wait two days... unacceptable.

If I hadn't prepaid for treatments we would leave. We will certainly not come back for round two of treatment.

Price is better for the same treatment here compared to other places. Some staff members seem put off by having to deal with parents and younger siblings.

Terrible communication with parents.

We took our 8yo here for a consultation on the recommendation of our dentist. Our kiddo uses they/them pronouns, and while I’d mentioned this during the phone intake and a few times during the appointment, no one including the doctor or his assistant made even a single attempt to address them with the correct pronouns. Our family has miles of grace for people getting used to our kid’s pronouns, but to not even make an attempt and then continue using the incorrect ones felt like a very condescending choice. Additionally at one point in the consult the doctor looked at our child and said, “you know boys are better than girls, right?” What a “joke” to make in the year of the Barbie movie.
At another point he made fun of my teeth. Needless to say we all left the consult feeling like absolute garbage. It’s ok, though, thankfully they never called or followed up to see when we were coming back or starting treatment.

We have found a practice that actually treats our kid like the very cool human they are, and it’s also less expensive than uniquely you would have been. We are grateful every day we found a more inclusive practice.

Ok! But I’d say if you have family members anywhere on the LGBTQ+ spectrum and/or don’t love jokes rooted in misogyny and patriarchy, this is not an inclusive practice. Look elsewhere so you don’t leave every appointment feeling grossly condescended to.
