I have come a few times. Always have had good service and great food. My most recent visit we did the cooking class. Which was a blast! Highly recommend if you can get a group!

Parking can be a little obnoxious but usually a side street will have space!

Catered our wedding and the food was delicious! Many friends and family came up complimenting the food! The appetizers were perfect; was great having server's walking around with them. The best was the beef short ribs; just melted when you ate it! Everything again was delicious! Chef Michael Feker made us feel like family! He goes above and beyond what's expected making everything feel perfect! My new wife and I will being making IL MITO Trattoria a usual night out for dinner! 100% recommend the catering service you won't be disappointed!

We have been coming to IL Mito for years and have always enjoyed ourselves! But our last two visits have been phenomenal! We came here to celebrate my Mom winning an award and our waiter made the night that much more enjoyable! As usual, the food was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommend the ribeye with the pesto pasta on the side (we substituted the pesto with garlic oil & wine sauce). For salads we ordered the mixta salad but with the Ceasar dressing. Lastly, the bread that comes out complimentary with the garlic paste is great. Keep ordering it!

Amazing Italian restaurant! Great service, excellent Italian food. Olive oil with roasted garlic brought to the table with warm bread. Ordered Bruschetta, Carpaccio for appetizers, words can not explain how good it was. Ordered the bolognese and lasagna for the main course, mouth watering you will not be disappointed! A must get is the pear puff pastry served with homemade whipped cream with a half of a fresh strawberry. You’ll want to be nice and share this but trust me you’ll be fighting for the last bite, order one for yourself instead.

Even though we were unable to go out, my husband and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner at home. The food was fantastic. The calamari was fresh. Just like being at the restaurant. Nice job! Totally exceeded our expectations. Love this restaurant and chef.

Great food and service. I recommend the reb wine beef braised short ribs. It was so good. Also tried the carbonara and the pasta was perfect and fresh. A little heavy on the bacon but was still great. Calamari was also very good with a light panko breading. Would recommend and will be back.

Small, rustic location. Very comfortable atmosphere. Casual. Service was excellent and the food delicious. I ordered the Carne pizza. So good. I would have liked it cooked a bit longer to brown the cheese, but that's just a personal preference. I did brown it when reheating the leftovers and it actually brought out the flavor of the caramelized onion more. Don't get me wrong, it was still VERY tasty cooked per their recipe. Others in the group ordered the fettuccine, rib eye, risotto, and one ordered 2 appetizers for her dinner. All agreed the food was excellent.

The only problem you'll run into is parking. It is most challenging as there are no parking lots anywhere so it is all street parking. In a busy area. Free, but you COULD be walking a block, or more, If it's a busy night on North Avenue.

Worth it.

One of our favorite Italian restaurants. Il Mito is a Milwaukee Metro gem. The food is always and consistently delicious and the prices are reasonable. The wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. This is an easy 'go to' whenever we don't want to cook or want to go out with family and friends.

Hands down the absolute best Italian food in the area. Yes, I am Italian and it's better than my Nona's. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food, the drinks, the staff, the atmosphere and unmatched.

Very enjoyable meal. Excellent service. 5 stars. We will be back. Chicken Parmesan. Spaghetti Bolognese. Seafood specials. And dessert! Excellent.

Hands down the most incredible gem of a restaurant in Milwaukee! Outstanding flavors, menu selections, staff, and atmosphere. My absolute favorite restaurant ever! Every menu item is insanely delicious!

Fettuccini Chicken Carbonara was very good as was the spaghetti Bolognese. Waitress was very kind and patient. Atmosphere was relaxed and fit for a nice date.

Excellent food, great gluten-free options (including bread before meal-NEVER have had that offered before!!!), great service! Very much enjoyed our evening there.

The food is unbelievably delicious!!! Went on a random Wednesday after hearing so much about it, and it wildly exceeded our expectations. Had the Lasagna and my girlfriend had the chicken parm (which she mentioned was the best she's ever had). Service was great and our waiter (Cesar) was extremely knowledgeable about the offerings and also super attentive. If you haven't been, you must go - definitely a gem!!!!

Ordered takeout through DoorDash. Food was ready pretty quickly (20 minutes) and was fresh. Enjoyed the prosciutto pizza topped with arugula. Will be back for a dine in experience.

What a fantastic place! Our server, Ricardo, was attentive, pleasant, and just all around wonderful. The food was beyond excellent! Our party of 6 sat on the back patio and it was quiet and beautiful. Everyone in the party absolutely loved their meal. The food was so fresh and delicious! My husband I just moved to the area and found this gem - we will back soon!

We had an excellent meal last night! I'm sure they are short staffed like every other restaurant but we didn't really notice because they seemed to work very well as a team! Another server even stopped by our table a few times, probably helping out, it was very nice! Everyone was very friendly and of course the food was wonderful!
