Michael is so good with kids! Our son does the homeschooling program during the day, and he loves it. I love the Michael starts off asking them what they are learning new. Its just a different approach to martial arts - more about overall life than just martial arts skills. I love when he has them do the rolling through obstacles and avoiding being hit (the kids love it), and when they do blocking exercises. I love hearing the kids laughing while they are learning. Totally recommend Budo Martial Arts.

This is a great place to learn Martial Arts or self defense! Our youngest really enjoys participating each week! Michael does a great job keeping his students engaged, and learning needed skills while having fun. Respect for self and others is a foundational skill that is being taught no matter what skill(s) they are learning. I love this positive environment and I am so glad we chose this Dojo to participate in. Classes are available for all ages (kids, teens and adults) which is great too!

I've trained in other martial arts. Michael is the best instructor I've ever worked with. My daughter and I both attend, Michael is amazing with children. The classes are disciplined yet fun. Sensai Francis is an amazing teacher, coach and encourager! Both of my boys asked to sign up for Budo Martial Arts…not mom saying let’s take this class. They learned respect, discipline and how to treat others besides all the martial arts stuff - rolls, moves, weapons training and Japanese words to go with it. I also took a women’s self- defense class and learned I could take down any size guy with a few squeezes and pokes! I would highly recommend Budo Martial Arts to any family.

Mr. Francis is an excellent martial arts teacher very personable and knowledgeable about his art form ninjutsu. He make sure that classes are safe fun and you learn effective self defense techniques. If you’re looking for realistic self protection that will keep you safe on the streets then you need to consider Budo Martial Arts.

I've known Mr. Francis since I was a little kid and admired his spirit and to this day he still has that positive and energetic spirit. The class environment is relaxed and fun. Everyone learns but they still can laugh and enjoy class. I have been to a few martial arts gym's and they get to be too intense and too competitive. There are many gym's that just want the numbers and that's not what I want. If you want a place to not only enhance your mind but, your spirit, check out this gym.

Highly recommend this dojo! Sensei Mike is so amazing at engaging kids of all ages and levels. He makes learning the technique fun and builds self esteem, confidence and character while doing it. Great training at a great price.

I’ve been going to Budo Martial Arts Academy for around two years and always feel that I’m getting my questions answered and challenged to be better in situations of danger not of being aggressive but if I have no other choice I can be confident and adequately defend myself and make it home safely. I’ve learned how to disarm, evade, take downs, pins, and how to adapt techniques used for a two arm student for myself. (right arm was paralyzed at birth ) It’s a fun friendly environment to learn in , with classmates that feels like family.

I have been training in ninpo taijutsu for the past six years and it's been a positive experience and also lots of information involved in this art. Anyone can joined no matter the age old or young, rich or poor, and if your alive or dead (😆) Anyway come and enjoy the fun environment, it'll be an experience for ya'. Okay thanks and enjoy.

Excellent, practical training for real life situations. Comfortable environment makes for a great training atmosphere. Sensei is knowledgeable and excels at transmitting that knowledge to his students.

Sensei is so good with the kids. The kids have very much enjoy it. Its pleasant watching and observing too, I tend to watch the whole time.
