Animal Doctor of Muskego- NOW MERGED WITH MAYFAIR ANIMAL HOSPITAL

I have only had wonderful experiences about this vet! I feel like they really care about each individual animal and provide individualized recommendations. I initially had my doubts about animal chiropractic, however our boxer mix was injured and having trouble with jumping onto the couch and walking far distances. We took her for a for a few adjustments and she is moving great again!!

I have been taking our dog to Animal Doctor of Muskego for 4 years now and I am extremely pleased with the service I've received. Dr. Brenda is one of the most compassionate vets I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not only is she extremely thorough and knowledgeable but I really feel like she genuinely cares about the well-being of our dog and even takes the time to connect me on a personal level. I feel confident that our dog is receiving the best care possible! Thanks to her and the entire Animal Doctor of Muskego team.

I have nothing but great things to say about Animal Doctor of Muskego! The team was amazing in helping me with a unique situation in getting my two cats ready to move to a new country.

When I first contacted Animal Doctor, I was able to schedule appointments for my cats for their first visit the same week. This was incredibly helpful since I was on a bit of a time crunch. Over the next 7(ish) months, Animal Doctor was flexible and accommodating in order to schedule appointments to meet specific deadlines. I am so grateful for this!

The staff was helpful and responsive which made my experience working with Animal Doctor so wonderful. In addition, I think one of the most important things was that the staff definitely made me feel as though my cats mattered. It was refreshing (and honestly so enjoyable) to work with a staff that truly cared. The entire team should be praised for their commitment to their clients and making the vet an inviting place for both owners & pets.

Specifically, I want to give Kati G. a huge shout-out for all of her hard work and dedication to my situation. Any time I called to make an appointment or to confirm what was needed next, Kati was right on top of it and always ready to help. I truly can't thank her enough!

It was our puppies first experience at the vet, so he was pretty nervous. But the overall calm and relaxing atmosphere helped a ton. In addition to that, the staff greeted us amazing and made us feel so welcome! It was a phenomenal experience that I will be telling people about! The vet was phenomenal at making us feel comfortable and explained the plan with his shots in perfect detail. This is the best vet I have ever experienced!

This is possibly the best vet I have been to. I was taking my aging little dog somewhere else for the last 6 years, but with some conflict i decided on a recommendation to try these people out! I have never experienced my dog not freaking out about being in the vet office or waiting in the vet clinic. They have low couches in the sitting area for the dogs to jump on, very clean area, very big and wide open waiting area. The fact that they have later hours is a huge plus as I work and I don't live in Muskego. Dr.Shawn was fantastic with Lola. My dog practically fell asleep waiting for him, she was completely relaxed. I felt relaxed too, which helped. They sent me an e-mail after summery visit with everything we discussed. LOVE that, because usually there is so much coming at you that you forget. I came here because he practices in holistic medicine for animals. The prices were reasonable and the communication was great. I would highly recommend them to anyone but especially if your animal is becoming a senior like mine.

I’ve been taking my dogs to Animal Doctor for 5 years and we all LOVE it! I had previously gone to two other (very popular) vet clinics, and inititally had tried Animal Doctor for a second opinion. One of my dog was seriously ill (costing us thousands of dollars in vet and emergency vet bills and the heartache of feeling helpless in knowing what to do) and I thought I should try the holistic route to see if it would help. Simply put: switching to a holistic diet and wellness plan SAVED my dog. At 14, she is still healthy and happy, and the regiment costs WAY LESS. Dr. Shawn and the team are amazing - knowledgeable, caring, friendly, and conscientious. Also, it is QUIET and peaceful at Animal Doctor, with a warm, welcoming, large reception/waiting area (with a fireplace too!) and the comforting scent of essential oils. It is very stress free when you enter - my dogs are never nervous and they even enjoy walking in the front door. Animal Doctor is a Fear-Free vet, so you can rest assured that your dog will have a great experience at the vet! Also, an added, very convenient touch they add is they email you the notes from the appointment so you can have a record of all the great advice/info they provide during your visit (and it’s extensive!). How cool is that? HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I drive quite a ways to take my dog to Dr. Mulvihill at Animal Doctor Muskego because he and his staff are so kind and caring. He takes the time to make sure my pup is comfortable and having a good experience. Lots of high quality treats! Plus I really appreciate their integrative/alternative approach, combining traditional veterinary medicine with herbs, acupuncture and chiropractic. Every appointment is very thorough with attention paid to all aspects of my dog's health.

I also feel their prices are reasonable for the very high quality of care my dog receives. Always a great experience!

Really great experience.

My dog needed an emergency visit after eating something she shouldn’t have. When we arrived the vet on staff was at lunch, the front desk staff called her and she came back within 10 minutes!

Staff was so friendly and Dr. Brenda got right down on the floor with my puppy making her feel much more comfortable. All my questions were answered and my dog will definitely be back for routine shots and check ups in the future.

Animal Doctor is amazing. We have been a customer of theirs for over 25 years (back when Dr. Jodie was solo in the Pick N Save plaza). Now we have Dr. Brenda, who is always considerate and addresses our concerns. We have had cats live to the ages of 17, 18, and 22, and I believe part of it is because of the care they were given by AD. Our 3-1/2 year old pup was a rescue and has been battling some allergies on top of needing a procedure done. They were considerate and took care of her during that time, and the procedure was a huge success. We recommend Dr. Brenda and Animal Doctor to anyone looking for a kind, honest vet.

Animal comfort is important and considered here. My cat is always rattled by car rides, and after coming back from a visit, she is very calm and relaxed. The vets here call back multiple times to check on your animal after a visit (which is a very good thing). I have no complaints! I feel very comfortable bringing my cat here.

We have bounced around from vet to vet not really finding a place we loved enough to STAY. Most vets push vaccines and pills without really getting to know my dog. My first experience with Dr. Brenda at Animal doctor was different. She offered titers to see if my dog NEEDS the vaccine before they administer any. I would have been happy with just that, but she also took 25 mins on the phone to talk to me about every option of preventative care and explaining each one of them thoroughly while keeping the conversation light enough that we shared some chuckles. She was so personable and friendly, and so was Amanda at the front desk. My spoiled viszla walked in with her like he didn't have a care in the world and says a lot... he is normally a mamas boy and I did not know how he would do without me there... clearly that is no longer an issue. If you want a good experience with a compassionate team you will not be disappointed with Animal Doctor. We are here to stay. <3

Dr Brenda did an amazing job with our dog! She was incredibly friendly and did not pressure us to pay for extra tests or labs. She just told us options and we made the choice! Would recommend to anyone!

Hands down best vet office ever! You feel welcomed, and listened to. You never feel like they are trying to squeeze extra money out of you! They thoroughly explain everything and all of your options! Dr. Shawn is incredibly knowledgable in his field and is a fountain of information! We drive over an hour for our visits and I wouldn't take my doggies anywhere else!

I highly recommend Animal Doctor. They saved my dog's life and gave her quality of life back. She's approaching senior years and happy, healthy and plays like a puppy again. Dr. Jodie, Dr. Kristin and the entire staff are caring and compassionate. The atmosphere is relaxing, both for me and my dog.

Both my cat and dog are patients of Animal Doctor. We followed Dr. Shawn from Sturtevant. Both Dr. Shawn and Dr. Brenda are amazing. They care for my animals, give me good options when my pets are sick and make sure to explain everything to me. I drive nearly an hour to get to this clinic and it is 100% worth it

I love animal Dr and specifically Dr Shawn. I found them after having a really traumatic experience at another vet for both my dog and myself. My 16 year old rat terror was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. She went in happy tail wagging.. initially they told me we caught it super early and by the time we left she was barely responsive and they told me I was taking her home to die and I was a horrible person for not putting her to sleep. She’s fine now FYI. Crazy as can be. She loved going to the vet prior to her bad experience. That’s when I found Animal doctor which has been fantastic They feed her treats the entire time. Sit on the floor with her. she’s never been put on a table. She still has a lot of fear from
The last vet and they’ve been super understanding. The techs are all great and super nice. im super over protective and they’re very nice about it! I have anxiety and making phone calls is really hard for me, I end up having to call them fairly often either for med refills or to make appointments theyre really nice and make things easy on me! Dr Shawn puts you at ease and is happy to explain anything you ask and he listens. (When he stops talking lol) but when I had opinions on her treatment he was happy to listen to me and try things my way since it is my dog and they’re super respectful of that. Very non judgemental environment. I haven’t vaccinated since shes older (I did when she was younger) no one cares. I use alternative heartworm preventative, they’re cool with it. They’ll definitely let you know if they think there is a better option but they’ve always respected how I choose to do things which in turn makes you wayyyy more receptive to them as well. I no longer stare at her waiting for her to die. She’s on low doses of meds and along with her holistic supplements, but I have no doubt as her condition inevitably progresses they’ll be there to support us. Initial appointment is pricey. After that reasonable. Meds are extremely reasonable to have filled. Cost was WAYYYYYY less Than the vet that tried to kill her. They’ll email you a summary of the visit. And links etc for anything you discussed like optional diets, supplements etc. sometimes all that information is hard to process on that spot. If you have an older animal and you need someone to take this journey with or a young animal you want to keep younger longer I’d definitely recommend them!

I wanted to add that Dr. Brenda is also awesome. Although she was not my vet she was there on the worst day of my life to talk me through things, repeatedly when my brain couldn’t comprehend what was happening.

I think Anima Doctor is the best place to take your pet. I love the holistic approach, without there care my dog would not of lived as long as she did. The staff is kind and caring. Dr.Shawn is so knowledgeable. I would recommend animal doctor to anyone.

I can not say enough good things about Animal Doctors. My dogs and I are relaxed and comfortable when we are there. They make you feel like you are VERY important to them and they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There is no doubt in my mind how much they care!!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!!!!!!

Me and my GSD came here after a traumatic experience at an emergency vet clinic. My dog was terrified as soon as we tried to weigh him. It was as though he had a flashback. I have never seen him behave that way. After we went into an exam room my dog got as far behind me and into the corner as he possibly could. This is completely out of the norm for him. He is a social, friendly dog that is very approachable. He cowered when the vet came in. We tried everything but he was having none of it. Eventually the doctor got on the floor with my dog and gradually gained a tiny amount of trust. He gave her a paw by the end of the visit and we both knew what a victory that was. We will be stopping for “happy time visits” to help reduce his fear. Hopefully one day they will see the happy playful side of him. Thank you Dr Greycarek for your patience with my guy.

Our dogs have been seeing Dr. Mulvihill at Animal Doctor (and the clinic he was at previously) for 10-12 years. We're very happy with him and his approach to treating them. The staff at Animal Doctor is also great. We have nothing but good things to say.
