Country Cafe

Stopped in here as a recommendation and we LOVED it! Fried pickles and dip were so delicious: highly recommend! The cheesesteak and fries were very tasty as well. Service was friendly and attentive.

We both had trout and it was fabulous. Salad bar pretty small but very fresh. Bread products excellent. We had eaten there maybe 35 years ago !

One of the nearly forgotten true country cafes. Typical cafe food, with a decent salad bar. The waitress was amazing, serving about 15 tables at a time. It's hard to get help! She works 12 hour shifts!!

The Eggs wt Ribeye Steak and the Apple cobbler WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!

Breakfast was Great. Western omelet and home fries. Give them a try.

June 2022, they started closing on Sundays and Mondays. Going to miss my Sunday breakfast.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for lunch. Quite intimate atmosphere and very warm and hospitable staff. The food was delicious 😋.

Breakfast before a long motorcycle ride north. The Country Café is clean and the people are nice, both customers and employees. Certainly has a "country" feel which was a really nice change for this city boy motorcycling around the Virginia mountains. I had a delicious western omelet (the omelet photos are very accurate) with toast and potatoes. Food was served hot and it all tasted delicious. Nice serving size had me going till after lunchtime. Food prices are fair and the window view is nice, too. Just happens that this area is half-way to my next motorcycle trip destination. I'll be booking the RoseLow motel and stopping here for breakfast before getting on the road again.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My server was Carrie and Patricia and they were great. I highly recommend stopping by and saying hi. Don't forget to try the peach cobbler.

Quaint little restaurant with a great breakfast! About 15ish miles up the mountains outside of Covington,VA. Situated on the side of the road with not much else around. Good service, good sweat tea, and good atmosphere. Will definitely come back if I am out that way again!

After a horrible 2 night stay at The Homestead, we checked out early to travel to the Hotel Roanoke and found this gem for breakfast! Our waitress was incredible along with the youngsters that were helping her. The omelette was wonderful, fluffy and not greasy! The biscuit was perfect. The sausage gravy was good without all the heavy salt. Great choice we made.

Great cinnamon buns and food was delicious. Large portions for a great price. I will definitely go back.

I would love to say this like mom's cooking but it's way better! Sorry mom. Great lunch. Awesome menu. Fast and friendly service. Save room for dessert the pies and cakes look amazing and are the talk of the town.

Had heard great things so I stopped by on the way out of town. Had 2 eggs, hash browns, country ham, and a biscuit. Eggs were nicely done, the hash browns were great. The country ham was delicious - it's been a while since I had a slab like that. The biscuit was really good, too. Washed it down with coffee. I left there full and happy. Friendly staff, nice menu, will def be back.

Good food, friendly service and atmosphere. Fun time overall. Reminds me of a a restaurant 30 years ago, I got chopped sirloin for the entree and it came with 2 sides so I got fries and salad buffet. Slightly dated, that was the only issue but nothing bad
