Vine Cottage Inn

My girlfriend and I spent one night at this unique bed and breakfast. We had an excellent experience because the host were very welcoming and this type of establishment was different than what we’re used to. When I entered the cottage, the first thought that came to me was my grandma’s house. Let’s say it was a nostalgic moment and it was a nice feeling. The hospitality throughout our stay was inviting and genuine. They served us a home cooked breakfast in the morning and provided a clean room with a comfortable bed. This establishment is vintage and has history. If you’re looking for something simple and old school, rather than a fancy 5-star hotel that cost 4x the price per night, the Vine Cottage Inn is a great choice. The ambience of this bed and breakfast made our vacation a little bit more memorable. I would stay here again and I recommend this place for everyone.

Such a beautiful Inn from the 1900s which has been meticulously maintained by its current owners Tammy & Dave.

The hospitality was amazing, it felt like staying with family. We were introduced & provided a tour and given history of the place - we were quite lucky being the only ones staying for the night.

We relaxed by the fire on the ground floor with a book & cuppa before heading into town for dinner.

The room was beautifully situated & had its own heater/claw foot bathtub (amazing after a long drive!)

Breakfast the next day was wonderful, scrambled eggs, individually sliced fruit, pancakes/bacon & a homemade blueberry scone - so much we couldn’t finish it.

Highly recommend if you’re visiting the area - whilst Omni is impressive, this place will make you feel at home with their individual touches.

Truly and excellent experience every single time, for our entire family. We have stayed with Tammy and Dave on over half dozen different occasions, both with kids and for a romantic getaway with just me and my wife. Quiet, clean and very friendly environment. Every single time we come we are treated as friends/family which is why we keep coming back year after year. Highly recommend to all travelers. You guys are the best :)

We had an amazing stay this past weekend! The location was perfect (steps from The Homestead). The food was amazing every morning & the rooms as well as the entire house were very comfortable and clean. Tammy & Dave were phenomenal hosts even providing homemade cookies every afternoon. I highly recommend staying at The Vine Cottage Inn!

This is a lovely, historic bed and breakfast. Tammy and Dave gave us such personalized service. The room and the common areas are lovely, quiet and comfortable. We hope to stay again sometime. Highly recommend this place!

Our first stay at Vine Cottage Inn was very nice. The proprietors meet you and greet you and make you feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious. The decor was lovely and there are many common areas to enjoy. The king bed was excellently firm. Parking immediately off Rte 220 is a bit tight but their system seems to work and the volume of traffic on the highway is low. Our room was in the back and it was nice and quiet. Good wifi. Very convenient to the Homestead.

Super hospitable ownership. Beautiful property with great atmosphere and old fashioned feel. Loved the common areas with fire places to just sit and read in. Plus the homemade breakfast was perfect. Tammy was super friendly and accommodating.

We found the accommodations warm and inviting, as well as, the owners who quickly set out to make our stay memorable. Dave’s country breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and allowed for relaxed conversation with the other guests. Tammy and Dave have mastered the art of hospitality and now the Vine Cottage Inn is on our short list of places to stay.

Beautiful place to stay for my daughter’s wedding! Breakfast was served to my whole extended family in a large dining room. We made great memories here. Dave and Tammy are the best and even cooked for my gluten and pork allergies

Wonderful room, attentive hosts, old-fashioned charm, sumptuous breakfast that even my pancake snob husband enjoyed! Lots of guests but we didn't hear anyone else in the night and slept well in comfortable beds. When we accidentally left a library book behind, Tammy alerted us and arranged to mail it to us since we were far down the road.

Beautiful area! Travelers should know there's limited cell service, but there's good wifi at the inn to catch up on your calls and messages and check your maps.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the Vine Cottage Inn! I can't think of a single negative thing. Would definitely recommend to anyone, and will be returning in the future for sure.

Tammy and Dave were perfect hosts. It is important for us when going to a bed and breakfast to feel comfortable, and this certainly hit the mark…exceeded it my several notches actually. We stayed on 3rd floor top and room had a wonderful Mountain View and was spacious. The 8000+ sqft home was beautiful and nicely appointed. Good parking was present for all guests. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch enjoying a bottle of wile before dinner. Breakfast was a scone, fresh fruit bowl, and scrambled eggs with cheese; coffee was very tasty as well as the fresh squeezed orange juice, offering other beverage options too.

Well done, Tammy and Dave, clearly your vast experience has all come together offering such a pleasant experience…we will be back! You have set the bar by which we will judge other B&Bs.

The Inn Keepers are so nice and welcoming, the Inn overall is so beautiful and feels like home, loved the room and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious! If we go to Hot Springs again we would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at the Vine Cottage was nothing short of spectacular! As many have mentioned before, Tammy and Dave make you feel right at home from the moment you check-in and Dave's breakfasts are amazing - I'm still dreaming of the French toast with homemade praline sauce! The rooms are very clean and well kept and the beds are very comfortable. We were in town for a wedding at the Homestead and it was just a short walk from the Vine Cottage. We will be back to stay again! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

I stayed at the inn after a backpacking trip with friends. We loved our time here! Tammy and Dave were so friendly and welcoming. The inn has a lovely library and plenty of places to curl up with a good book or sit and visit with friends. Breakfast was amazing and delicious! I have some dietary restrictions and Tammy and Dave graciously made adjustments for me without compromising taste. Thank you!

This is a wonderful B&B. You will not be disappointed. David and Tammy were the perfect hosts and made us feel right at home. We stayed in the Duck Flower room. It was a great room. The bed was perfect, nice sheets, comfy robes and soft towels. This room also had a lots of windows. A nice seat down breakfast and snack / drinks during the day. The area around hot springs is so relaxing with lots of stuff to do. Just ask David and Tammy, they will provide detailed information with maps.

First and foremost, Dave and Tammy, the inn's owners, were the best hosts you could ask for. Their warm and welcoming personalities made you feel right at home from the moment you arrived. They were attentive to your every need and went out of their way to ensure that your stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

The inn itself was simply beautiful. The historic building was meticulously maintained and lovingly decorated with charming antique furnishings and tasteful decor. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Of course, one of the highlights of your stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning. Dave and Tammy's homemade breakfasts were a true treat, featuring a variety of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and creative, mouth-watering dishes. You looked forward to breakfast each day and it never failed to impress.

In addition to the wonderful accommodations and hospitality, the location of Vine Cottage Inn was perfect for exploring Bath County and the surrounding area. The inn was conveniently located near numerous hiking trails, historic sites, and charming small towns, making it easy to experience all that the region had to offer.

In summary, I highly recommend Vine Cottage Inn to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Bath County, Virginia. With its beautiful accommodations, warm and welcoming hosts, delicious breakfasts, and prime location, it truly has it all.

Dave & Tammy are the most wonderful hosts. The Inn is beautiful and has been maintained so lovely to keep its historic charm. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. The most delicious breakfast was served and the hosts are the most accommodating, warm and friendly. When it's time to leave you don't want to, but know you have made friends for a lifetime. We will definitely be back, and next time stay longer.
