The atmosphere was soothing, but I did go in after a rush, so not that many people. I got the crispy chicken with sweet and sour sauce, presentation was beautiful. There seemed to be only two people working at the time, but they were polite and made sure I was doing well.

I’ve been going to this place almost every day since the first time i found this place over a week ago. Their Papaya salad, crying tiger and fresh rolls are so good, I just love their food so much, they keep the original thai food flavor, good price and good portion!! Enjoyed their waitresses’ great customer services, they are very friendly and happy people, we are moving to this area soon, will definitely keep going to this place at least once a week 😁😁 the papaya salad is just super great!! The fried rice are awesome too and all the curies!!

Visited for lunch and had the fresh rolls and spicy noodle soup, substituting shrimp for the chicken. Both were delicious! Soup had just the right heat to open the sinuses and make you want more. Will definitely return.

Excellent Food! Great portions and the flavor is OMG!! I got the Spicy Noodle bowl and the Chef made by request, the Basil Fried Rice with Crispy Duck for my companion. Both dishes were awesome and so is the Staff!!

On my way to run errands in Colonial Heights last Saturday, I decided to treat myself to lunch since I hadn't been to Kacha in a long time. I chose 2 dishes I've never eaten before - the glass noodle salad (Yum Woonsen) & the Pad Wild Elephant. Both menu descriptions said "hot", but I wish their spiciness levels had been more clearly specified.

IMO, the heat of the Yum Woonsen was in the mild to medium range, and I loved the tang from the lime juice in its dressing. The Pad dish, on the other hand, was too spicy for me to totally enjoy it. The rice had soaked up the oils from the chili paste sauce, so it was no help taming the heat. My lips and tongue were tingling hours later! lol And since I was told they can't adjust the recipe to tone down the spiciness, I won't be ordering that particular item again. But I will be back because there are other dishes I want to try; I'll just make sure to ask how spicy they are BEFORE I order from now on.

This is the best Thai place I’ve had since moving to the area! I usually get the Basil Fried Rice, Pad Thai,Thai Fried Rice, and Thai tea. The ingredients are high quality and the flavor is out of this world. Portions a big too. Whether you call in, pick up or dine in your food comes out fast and hot!

New to this restaurant. Prices were average to any place else, service was quick and the food... WOW was excellent. Loved the Ginger Chicken and Wonton Soup. Took it to go, because I didn't have the time to eat-in. I will be back.

This place is really quaint. There wasn't a lot of people when we went but the overall atmosphere was pleasant. Our wait staff were very polite and helpful. My buddy and I both ordered the beef noodle soup. I have to say that it was very tasty and the beef was very tender. Although the picture on the menu shows an egg on top, you have to request for the egg, and that's something we found after we finished our meal. The clear wrap veggie told were a very good appetizer. Comes with a suttle peanut sauce. Definitely a place to go back to.

I came to Kacha Thai on Saturday with four friends. I ordered a Thai tea, crying tiger, and crispy duck. Everything tasted amazing, as always. My only complaint was that the service was very... weird. My party arrived at 5:22. The server proceeded to tell us that they closed at 6 pm (on a Saturday?) And make us feel like we should not dine in. We sat down anyway. Despite the initial rush, the server was somewhat slow getting our orders. Food came out in good time. It got really weird when more people came in. We heard the server turn away several other parties, stating that the restaurant closed at "5:40" to one, then "5:30" to another party. To-go orders were still steadily coming in, so this made no sense. Another party came in and a different employee seated them with no problem. One of the parties that had been turned away observed this and came back in to ask what was happening, which led to more confusion and awkwardness. The whole experience was weird. Kacha Thai may want to update its hours online and on the door, and educate its employees on when they actually close and how to communicate this.

I’ve had Kacha on multiple occasions and their food doesn’t disappoint. Many of the food items are a personal favorite; Thai fried rice, drunken, crispy chicken, Pad Thai, pad See Eiw, basil fried rice with crispy duck, and fried wantons. Area isn’t the best but it makes this place a hidden gem as it may be overlooked.

Beautiful restaurant with subtle and attractive decor. Food is mostly common Thai dishes prepared deliciously, with a few unique dishes like vegetarian mock duck! Good vegan and vegetarian options; the protein choices can be tofu, chicken, shrimp, or seafood. Tom Yum soup was flavorful without being painfully spicy, Thai tea was very sweet and good, house half was interesting as it had a peanut sauce dressing and fried tofu. The mango sticky rice was hot, covered in sweet coconut cream, and ripe mango.

Came here years ago when it was Elephant Thai. It has changed names and I assume owners. The service here needs help. It takes forever to get anything after lunch rush is over, not even during peak hours. We ordered Thai teas three times from two different waitresses and finally got them after thirty minutes. The Thai tea is really good, but they bring it to you in a wine glass and don't offer even one free refill. Order it without ice, and order ice on the side. This will be a decent amount and you won't have to pay for two or three if you like to drink a lot of it. We got the calamari appetizer and it was not good at all. Bland and overcooked chewy tubes of squid. I got the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and it was very tasty, but there were only 5 shrimp for a large plate of rice that cost $11. It also took a very long time to come. The servers and staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere is nice.

UPDATE: I came here again tonight, 4/3/2021, and I had to up my review to 5*s. The quality and portions of the food were amazing, and the flavors are wonderful. Service was fast and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. I got the pineapple fried rice with shrimp, the calamari appetizer, and the fresh spring rolls, and they were all very large portions and so good. I also got Thai iced tea, and it came in a super cute seal cup, not sure what kind of magic that was, but I loved it. Tasted as good as it would have if I had dined in. I will definitely be back!

Super yummy yummy in my tummy delicious pad-see-ew dish and interesting rice 🍚 beer 🍺. Located among other stores, it's great for sit-down meals and meet-ups. I was hoping to try more things on the menu, but the time and business were not allowed. Oh well, till next time, maybe.

They are delicious. My sister ordered the Pad Thai and I had the Roasted Duck Curry and Calamari. The curry was like sweet spicy and not too hot to where it would burn you mouth. Its was so balanced with the spices that I did not leave with a to go box. The service was very nice and welcoming. Ill definitely go there more often

I drive from an hour and a half away to eat here, at least three times a month. Worth the drive. Always made quickly, and the waitstaff is always super friendly. Remember to tip the waitstaff even for takeout. COVID sucks and they are still here for you!

I always get drunken noodle. Spice 3, extra protein. I will note, the extra meat is barely ever there, but that's okay.

Certainly exceeded and smashed my expectations! I ordered the curry duck (minus the rice) and added broccoli - I ate every single available morsel of food. Friendly staff, very clean, welcoming atmosphere.

Been to this place multiple times now and everything I've tried has been delicious. They also have a small buffet mon-thurs 11-2pm for a good price.
