Isle of Wight Family Campground

I am currently staying here for a job in the area. Check in was easy. The employees have been very friendly and helpful. The sites are adequate, and the area is relatively quiet. It has a decent area for me to exercise my dog. It has a bath house and coin laundry, but I have yet to use it. At the moment, I would say that I would definitely recommend this place.

I am from Texas and my whole experience so far with IOW has been nothing short of amazing. The owners are friendly and helpful the office staff have been very kind and helpful. The place is beautiful and they are just a big family here. My job brought me here and i had to store my trailer until they got a spot open for me and i had front leg issues with my RV, they never hesitated to help me get my trailer off my truck and then when i got a spot they helped me move it and back in. I believe that goes above and beyond what they had to do. I am grateful that i found this place they are hands down one of the best RV parks i have stayed in. :)

Perfect for long term stay for out of town workers, etc. We stayed 5 months while having our new home built. The campground is quiet, safe and they are constantly doing grounds improvement. There is a lake for fishing, paddle boarding, etc. Many trails through the woods behind the camping spots were perfect for keeping our dogs exercised! Positively recommend this campground!

I absolutely love this place. Everyone I've met- employees and other campers- have been very nice and laid back. Its quite at night, normal noise levels during the day. Kids playing, fishing, occasional dog barking. Very restful.

Absolutely amazing! What a great little gem! Amazing ownership & management! Great site. Clean grounds. Spotless bathrooms! Awesome setting. The pond, not so little.

We were able to find a nice secluded spot in primitive area near the dam for some impromptu car camping. The grounds were well maintained, staff and other campers were super friendly, and the pool/playground were clean and inviting. This is definitely going to be one of our go-to retreats. Already planning next trip!

This campground is beautiful and immaculate. I had a spot down by the lake/pond. I had electric and water hookups. It was very quiet and the staff and residents are very friendly. We enjoyed beautiful starry nights and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There's a bath house on site which is also spotless. So if you need to use the bathroom or take a shower those amenities are available. There's also a place to wash clothes. It was nice to just get away and enjoy nature. (It's pet friendly too if you have a fur baby or two.) If you need anything or forgot something there's a little store inside of the office. You can also purchase ice and bundles of wood. They have literally thought of everything to help you have a pleasurable stay. Their prices are very reasonable too. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!!

What a great place! The grounds are well kept. Big rig friendly. The sights with concrete patios are large and flat. Pool looked refreshing. The pond looks great as well. All the staff we saw and spoke with were very nice. The tent sights we saw were in the woods / shade, as they should be. Not out in a field or a gravel parking lot. Bath house was very clean. We went ahead and re booked for July.

Recently stayed here for our spring Cub scout family camp. The camp ground was beautiful!! The bathrooms were clean which is always a blessing. The kids had a BLAST fishing and running around. The kids ended up using all of the worms the store on site had.

This place is great! You can camp right by the water, staff is super friendly. Place is clean. Trails are great. This is our new family camping place!

I had a great time here, well maintained, quiet, family oriented, and reasonable prices. The staff here is incredible, friendly and very helpfull. I stayed in the newer part of the campground, and it was nice, and as the staff said, the sights were larger, little more space. Although I did not take the opportunity, there was a lot paths to walk, the pond is pretty big, and clean. The pool was not open at the time, but it too looked clean. If you are looking for a great place to get away, highly recommend this spot. I look forward to my next trip there.

My wife and I stayed here the last week of June and fell in love with the place. With a view like this every morning how could we not? the staff was wonderful and we could not have asked for a more enjoyable vacation.

What an enjoyable and relaxing can campground! This place has EVERYTHING! Sparkling blue swimming pool, beautiful pond for fishing, abundant land for strolling through nature, air conditioned and immaculate restrooms/showers and laundry facilities! They offer more than ample supplies inside their on-site store! To say the grounds are well-maintained would definitely be an understatement - they are pristine! And, most importantly, the people... All the guests we encountered were friendly and neighborly. The entire staff from groundskeepers (and there are many!) to the wonderful lady who keeps the buildings fresh and clean, to the amazing manager, Amy, who always gets you with warmth and a genuine welcoming smile - each of them made us feel right at home! We will definitely be back for return visits!

Management is awesome. Friendly and accommodating. Overall welcome was warm. Pool was clean and chemically balanced, no red eyes :) The lake is nice with plenty of brim. Bring worms, but beware of turtles. Forgot bait? No problem. The camp store is clean, well organized, and has just about everything you will need. Showers were HOT. Yes folks, hot water in camp bath house. Restrooms were very clean and well appointed. Kids described it as the 'best day ever'. Great for families looking for a weekend get away, we will be back!

Great campground, clean, easy hookups, great staff. First time here was Labor Day. A lot of fun, great music by Duke Entertainment all though they should advertise a little more when entertainment is going to be there. Will go back again.

We've been here for almost 6 months, couldn't be happier the staff at the office and other campers feel more like family then anything else. It's a great place to stay, close to lots of things near by. It's very quiet and reserved and a great place for kids to run and play during these challenging times.

The campground is very well taken care of. The pool is crystal clear and clean. Very peaceful place to spend a couple nights for sure! We will be back again. Just one recommendation, I would try and invest in some kind of bath house near the back of the grounds. Other than that it was a great stay!

Update, this campground, now known as Isle of Wight Family Campground, as had a major sprucing up. It is under new management and you can tell that they are working hard to make updates. If you haven't been there in a while make some reservations and re-visit. You will not be disappointed.

I travel for work and I've stayed in a lot of different campgrounds! I must say that it is definitely one of the nicest places I've had the pleasure to visit, they have a lot of activities that you and your kids will enjoy! It was also one of the most affordable campgrounds I've stayed at! Will definitely return in the future because my children loved it and so did my wallet!
