What an absolute gem of a salon! I recently moved to Fayetteville & was dreading finding a new stylist. After some trial & error with another local salon (which ended with splotchy, uneven highlights), I finally ended up at Wordsmith in the owner Jenni’s chair. Jenni is an absolute expert in her field. She teaches hair cutting to other stylists across the country and continuously invests in professional development for both herself & her team (and she’s an absolute sweetheart). She provided a clear, thorough consultation with recommendations that considered my face shape & skin tone. Jenni has brought my hair back to life. On top of the high-quality service, I always feel so welcome here. The salon is gorgeous & modern, prices are super reasonable for the area, and it doesn’t have the uppity vibe I’ve felt at some salons. This was a perfect match for me.

Hailey has done my brows for a long time and I highly recommend her! I’ve had so many people through the years do my brows and she’s unmatched. It’s like she reads my mind and knows exactly what look I want to achieve without me saying that much! She’s also friendly and very kind.

Anna gave me the best manicure I have ever had! She was super kind and my nails feel healthy. My manicure hasn't lifted, peeled, cracked, or chipped-- and they look exactly how I wanted them to!

Everytime you walk into Wordsmith you are welcomed with a smile and a cheerful greeting. Marissa is an amazing stylist! She is so gentle and meticulous it seems like she is worshipping your hair. 😁 And the way she shampoos and styles it makes me want to be one of those iconic older ladies that had to get her hair washed and styled every week.
Marissa does great on my daughter's very long thick hair, women's short hair styles and men's cuts as well.

I moved to Arkansas from California in August 2020 and spent about a month asking people I knew where/who was the best person to go to in NWA for hair coloring services. All the girls at my work continued to rave about how great Taylor is. So this easily became my only option.

I have always had darker hair and have always wanted to go blonde. In the beginning I thought that it would be a simple process to take my “shade 3” hair to an 8 or 9.. which I learned from Taylor was going to really be damaging on my hair. Instead she spent the time to really teach me about how hair takes color and more. The way Taylor spoke about hair made me instantly know I was putting my hair in the right hands. Three sessions later I was finally the blonde that I wanted & was able to keep my hair healthy with all the products Taylor recommend.

However I really love change & decided recently it was time to go back to my original color & even then Taylor took the time to correctly process my hair in a way that would cause the least amount of damage.

Throughout the year long process of wanting blonde blonde hair to wanting bangs, to not wanting bangs, to wanting to go back to brown, Taylor has never complained & has always given me her honest opinion. Even now when I will graduate in May 2022 I don’t think I’ll ever want anyone else doing my hair & I will definitely be traveling back from California to Arkansas whenever I need my hair done.
