Taverna Opa Orlando

I stumbled upon this place while attending a conference nearby. And loved it so much that I ate three meals here in 3 days. The food, service and ambience are excellent.

I had the roast lamb which was tender and flavorful. The next day I had grilled fish branzini which was perfect in every respect, provided you like eating whole fish. It was fresh and crisp on the outside but soft and tender on the inside.

Best of all, the staff and service was incredibly friendly. Especially for a single guest, they made me feel at home.

My boyfriend is from Greece, so we had to check this place out. The food was delicious. We got the hummus, greens, lemon chicken, and crunchy zucchini. A tie between the chicken and zucchini for the best taste. They also have a belly dancer and throw napkins up in the air. Great food and entertainment. Service was great, but gave 4 stars because our water was empty for a while. We had to snag her to get a refill. You have to pay for parking in the garage, but the walk isn't far. Park on the 3rd floor and take the bridge over.

What a wild place…honestly, the food was very good. The ambiance is fun, but a tad too loud if you ask me. They also trash perfectly good paper everywhere, which I think is a bit odd in 2024. Wine list is good, but a lot of wines were out of order.

The lambchops are phenomenal!!!!! They were suggested by our waiter Zach! I ordered them medium and kudos to the chef and manager! I honestly can say, it was, no exaggeration, the BEST meal I have Ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE!!! Out of all the food I have tried, in ALL the places I have visited in the world!!! It was the most flavorful, tender, juicy, melt in your mouth experience! I got lost in the flavor and it left my senses CRAVING MORE!!! Trust me!!! It will not dissapoint! The atmosphere was so pleasurable, and Zach, our waiter had an AWESOME personality! If you want a superior dining experience, with high quality food satisfaction and remarkable service, THIS is the place to go! Much thanks to Opas for an experience I will not forget! We will come again!

Delicious food, I mean the best pita bread and hummus I have ever eaten, as well as a wonderful gyro 🥙. Great customer service (if you get Jose… you’re welcome). Yummy drinks and amusing entertainment. I truly hope you #enjoy and I’m sure you’ll be back. We know we definitely need to be.

This was one of my best dining experiences I have had the privilege of enjoying! The food here is absolutely top notch and prepared to perfection, now I know why they are THE best Greek restaurant in Orlando. The staff here are truly amazing and go out of their way to ensure you have the most memorable dining experience. They are very attentative, friendly, and make you feel like your the only patron in the restaurant. Special recognition goes out to my server Jose and bartender Max...great job! Love the atmosphere at Taverna Opa and highly recommend giving them a try, make a good memory and enjoy great tasting food!

I had a family birthday celebration today and it was such a fun atmosphere, fantastic service and the food was amazing. I can't wait to come back at night to see the dancers. The lamb plate was really incredible and you have the best falafels I have ever tried.

Really enjoyed my quick apps before the Funny Bone comedy show I attended. The hummus was super fresh with lots of fresh fruity olive oil. The bartender was attentive and helpful. I would return for an entree sometime.

Incredible Greek cuisine! The food and atmosphere was amazing and the belly dancer was so much fun. Great night out. Highly recommend this spot for great food and fun times.

We had a party of 9 for lunch. Food was delicious! Our waiters Jose and Yeiling were awesome!! Cocktails were great! We couldn’t make it for the dinner show but the staff made our lunch visit special showing us a fantastic time with DJ and dancing on the tables!! We will definitely be back. We’d recommend Taverna Opa to all looking for a great experience and even better food!! Thank you Jose, Victor, Yeiling and Fady!!

Went there for a birthday celebration. Very happy atmosphere, great food and not overly priced. Parking was simple. Park at the SP Point Orlando garage on the 3rd floor and go straight to the restaurant across the way. Highly recommend for celebration or date night. Acoustics are good. Even with the music and dancing it wasn't overly noisy. The belly dancing starts at 7pm and it's a blast.

The first thing that captures your attention is the unique decor and then the friendliness of our waitress. The food was scrumptious. Highly recommend the lamb ribs appetizer. If you're a lamb enthusiast, this will wow your taste buds. And, of course, do not skip dessert. Their baklava is as authentic as can be. Unfortunately, we did not get to stay for the belly dance show, but there's always next time

Fun night of celebration. The food was decent. It was not what one would say “Wow I would come back just for the food!” But it is definitely a place that I would recommend for a celebration as it is literally a dinner and a show with belly dancers and others celebrating their birthdays or their bridal shower. Out of all the times that I have been there, the ambience has always been a good one. We had issues with the salmon being overcooked and the manager took care of removing it out of the bill right away.

Went for a quick date night on a Monday. Looked at the reviews and a few videos and thought because we were going on a Monday that the environment may not be as lively, well we were wrong it was a blast. We arrived a little after 7 pm. Between the dancers, music, table dancing, and of course the Napkins it was a blast. Our server was José he was great, and engaging and his recommendations were spot on. There was a large part next to us and they ordered a round of drinks José poured a round of 10+ shots while standing on the table. We started with the cold appetizer sampler, and it was ok but IMO not for the price, next time I think we will try the Saganaki it was served to 2 tables next to us and looked tasty. I ordered the Chicken Artichoke the chicken was so flavorful, my husband had the lamb ribs a bit fatty and he said he would try something else the next time we go. We finished the night with Galaktoboureko for dessert it was delicious I would come back just for that.

The staff was very friendly and gave us great customer service. My family and I came here for happy hour/dinner. The food was delicious. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Orlando.

We were in a bit of a hurry to make a movie so we left the waitress know and she was very accommodating and got our order quickly. The food was very good and the portion sizes were just right. It was a little pricey but about what is expected in a tourist area like this near universal and the conference center.

I wanted to find a bar for happy hour. I am local and love Greek food so naturally visited opa. The place is much quieter during happy hour vs night time, I loved ordering appetizers and having couple of drinks. Will go again bringing friends this time.

This was a pleasant, unexpected, super fun surprise! Went here with some work friends based on a recommendation from a driver. Wow! The atmosphere was outstanding along with the service and the food! The FOOD! Wow! So good!!! But the vibe was laid back but fun. It honestly felt like a club for all ages with food! Perfect for every age! Will definitely be back, even though I live out of state (Disney fan), maybe even tomorrow before I head home. Go! You won’t regret it and you’ll leave happy and full!!

Taverna Opa is great for all ages! They made amazing music with an in-house DJ. They also had belly dancers who danced on the table and made the dinner even more fun. A friend of mine had a celebration dinner here and it was so much fun!! I had the meat platter, I wouldn’t suggest this. I would recommend ordering just the grilled/roasted lamb with rice and green beans which was only the best part of the dish. . Everything was fresh and made to order. I can’t wait to come back soon.
