Gorgeous! Also a great place for foraging! I gotta bring my fishing pole here as well. The nearby beer garden is nice, too.

This is a peaceful and often overlooked park. I think most people pass by without realizing it is a park? And the park has a lot to offer if you want to relax, suntan, have a picnic, go fishing, cool off by the river or watch birds. Its also right next to the oak leaf trail too!

This park is right along Silver Spring Drive so its close to Bayshore and the shopping area yet its far enough away to be very peaceful...especially if you head a little bit south into the park. There I often hear birds calling. A few of the birds sound like falcons or hawks? And that makes perfect sense too since a good chunk of this park is wooded forest.

I do love hiking in the forest along the trails here. And in summer its nice to sit on the rocks along the river too. Very peaceful. I like to sit and watch the wildlife.

And the huge grassy areas would be great for suntanning! Plus its very beautiful when the trees are blooming too!

This park is just north of Lincoln Park and connects to it via the Oak Leaf Trail. And I walk through this area all the time. Even in winter. And yes, a few times I had even walked through the deep snow too! What an adventure I had over here.

And if you want something to read while here, there is a Little Free Library right across the street from this park too.

The bike trail goes through the park too.

There are no kiddie play structures here and no park house or bathrooms. Its just a large green area along with forest.

Easily one of the busiest trails we visited recently The Milwaukee River Greenway in Estabrook Park has a great location central to Whitefish Bay, Shorewood, Glendale and Milwaukees Northeast side. With access to walking hiking and biking trails including a portion of the Oak Leaf Trail the hiking experience of the Greenway is remarkably able to maintain a rather immersive natural hike along the river despite its proximity to highly trafficked roads. With a variety of branching paths and visuals walking the Greenway is definitely a pleasant way to experience the Milwaukee River and get a nature filled afternoon without having to travel too far.

Gorgeous park. If you've never been, please go you'll enjoy it! This park is clean and well kept. Althought some of the holes are a little short the disc golf course provided a nice challenge! Well shaded with large trees. Many walking paths even a river walk under the beer garden. I hear there's even a skate park but I didn't see it while there. I'll definitely be returning and recommending this park to friends and family

Super walking path on both sides starting on commerce street in Milwaukee and heading north to Silver Spring Drive. Cross the river then walk back. About 8 miles for the loop

I really enjoy riding on the Greenway by bike. The trails/paths reach Milwaukee - Cedarburg distance about 21 miles. I see many people running walking and biking along the way. Super park for WI residents and visitors.

Hidden gem. Had to ask the locals for directions. One of the coolest spots in Milwaukee to grab a pint of locally brewed beer. Would recommend to anyone who loves nature or beer!

It’s beautiful and I love walking my dog here. Most people have their dogs off leash, though (there’s signs against it) which is kind of a bummer and there’s a lot of dog poop left around. Still one of my favorite areas. I’ve seen beavers, deer, and turkeys in here. It’s a great resource if you live in the city, but still beautiful to visit if you don’t. There are a couple of spots where homeless people are living, so I don’t recommend coming here at night.

This is one of those special places that encourages calm relaxation as you walk along the river banks. There’s all sorts of flora and fauna along the path, which can be narrow and rather rustic at times.

We were here on a lovely spring day and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. This is an excellent place to recharge and enjoy an apparently unspoiled natural resource, which probably looks a lot like it did before European settlers encroached upon its serene beauty.

Visit this place when life becomes too chaotic to bear, and you’ll be glad you did.

The Rotary Arboretum starting at the Urban Ecology Center is really great. The switch back trail starting at the top is lovely reclaimed prairie full of wildflowers and native grasses. There is a path from top to bottom along side of the woods that displays huge rock "sculptures" from various geological layers from prehistory and info. Then the walk along the river or through the woods makes for cool hikes that are quite easy depending on path. The paths are well groomed. It can be muddy in a couple of places after a rain but mostly dry even after a rain. It is a jewel of the city.
