Delray Advanced Wound Care Center

On Friday January 26, I received an injury to my nose while playing a sport activity. Later on, I arrived at Delray Medical Center to have the injury looked at and to gain a diagnosis.

Nevertheless, my nose was indeed broken and I was referred to Dr. Andrew Klapper who is part of the medical staff for The Wound Treatment Center at Delray Medical Center located off Linton Blvd and Military Trail.

On Tuesday January 30th, I called the Treatment Center for an appointment and I spoke to Laurel Smith. She was very polite and professional during my communication with her. I secured an appointment for Thursday January 1st at 8:15 am. I also received an email from her afterwards outlining information concerning my appointment.

When I arrived for my appointment and until I was discharged, I received the most excellent customer service by the office staff as well as from the medical staff. I was made comfortable by RN/CWS Andrea Medoff who's professionalism and personality made me fel at ease.

I can truly say that it is scary as well as uncomfortable when receiving trauma to the body. The personnel at this facility made me positive and reassured me that everything will be fine.

I am blessed to have been referred to Dr. Feo by my nurse practitioner.
He recognized right away the urgency for me to be operated to remove a nasty cancer on my lower back. He and his staff worked to get me the care I needed in no time dealing with insurance and scheduling of my surgery within 4 days after my fist visit at his clinic.
The surgery was a complete success and you can tell it was done by a master.
The after care that i received is impeccable and you can tell they are making sure the healing process is on track and successful.
The wound care service is keeping a close eye on the progress to insure to make sure the healing is going right…

Delray wound care center is Awesome. The staff is first class. All of the nurses are great as well as Dr. Palmer and Dr. Warren. Highly recommend.

My 93 year old father has been a patient of Dr. Spinner for over 10 months, and sees him every week. He came into Dr. Spinner’s office when he had a very serious large ulcer on his ankle covered with necrotic tissue. Slowly over the months, my dad’s ulcer has gotten slowly but steadily better. Each week Dr Spinner carefully checks and decides what wound coverings and meds should be used. The wound is “healthy” and pink and continues to heal, now the size of a quarter. The office staff, Laurie and Bernard, are always helpful with necessary forms, etc. And Andrea, Christin, Margaret 1, and Margaret 2 have all been so professional and caring over all these months. It has been a pleasure to see my father being well taken care of by such compassionate professionals.

The last three months have been a whirlwind of Dr visits and hospital stays. I counted 30 THIRTY visits with at least 12 different doctors. Each new appt was met with dread ,until we walked into Advanced wound care center. The staff was friendly knowledgeable and took time to answer questions. The one time the office was a little backed up the nurse explained to all thatDr Spinner was treating an emergency! How amazing

.what can I say aboutDr Spinner? Smart, kind, patient, thorough and handsome!
We were actually a little sad when we finished treatment , felt we were saying goodbye to family.

He also diagnosed and treated a condition successfully that every otherDr.and hospital facility chose to ignore.

This Wound Care Center is the best. The care and attention given to me was excellent. Dr Warren and Dr Palmer are very knowledgeable about what and how to take car of their patients.Andrea and Chris are the nurses there and made me feel I was in the best hands. My wound was complicated because of the meds I was taking, but the Dr and nurses knew just wha to do so that my wound would heal in the fastest possible way. All I can say, in their hands or won go wrong

I cannot thank Dr. Andrew Klapper (Plastic Surgeon & Wound Care Specialist) and his fine staff for the care and attention provided to me at the Delray Advanced Wound Care Center. His ability to answer all my questions, clarity of instructions, thoroughness of examination, the amount of time over a number of weeks that he spent with me, and his positivity on the outcome of my treatment was exceptional. I have the best experience in my life there are very professional very kind very nice nauseous the stuff that'll wonderful they are very helpful the best place for wound care I never would have been and I want a lot of wound care center this is one of the best the monitors are the best everybody there the doctors and nurses everybody they are the best

I’ve been a patient at the Delray Wound Center since the begining of December 2023. I’m writing this to express my gratitude to all the Nurses and Dr. I. Spinner and Dr. T. Prager. They have all been wonderful in the performance in seeing me through this extra long healing process. I want to thank all of them for their help and guidance through this long journey. Medical treatment for wounds. Hopefully you don't need their services ever.

WARNING!!!: Don't go there if you have any Diabetic Neuropathy wounds. They will waste your time and co-pay money. The doctors will run tests on you and do biopsies and won't even get back to you with the results.. They will charge you a co-pay even after you have met your deductible. Dr Simon is an absent minded professor that will send you to the ER and not show up to see you. These

The doctor treating me was fine but the Wound Care Center itself has questionable ethics. When I called to make the appointment I was assured my supplementary insurance was accepted. When I arrived for the appointment, I again asked the front desk to confirm that my supplementary insurance would cover that percentage not paid by Medicare. Again, I was told yes and a copy of my insurance card was made for billing purposes. I was shocked then when I received a bill for over $216,00 instead of what would be my normal co-pay of $25.00. I am a senior citizen on a small fixed income and very troubled that a medical facility would give deceptive and dishonest information about being a participating provider to my financial detriment. If you deal with them, do yourself a favor and check directly with your insurance carrier to verify what the Wound Care Center tells you. I learned a rather expensive lesson the hard way about the need to confirm what one is told.

I brought a friend of mine her for her appointment and the lady at the front ( the middle aged gray frosted short hair) was EXTREMELY RUDE. Not only to her but everyone that came in or called. She talked loud so everyone in waiting room could hear her. She just spoke so rude. While giving my friend a follow up she tried to give the following Fri at the same time that this appt was and my friend asked me what day as I bring her and I said to the girl if she had a little later and rudely she says well you got her here today at thud time so why not next Fri at which time I started to tell her that I go to her every other Friday and then I just said I don’t have to explain to her and she’s like that sounds like a threat. My suggestion would be to go to any other wound care than this location unless you like being talked down to. Also the wait is ridiculous 9:45 appt called in at 10:30. I will add you might get lucky and have the younger girl help back there who was a lot friendlier than this other lady. I don’t know how she can get away with this she must own the place and she must be a very miserable person

Appointment 1:15 Did not take my mom until 145 why do I have to come I have a 93-year-old woman sit for 45 minutes
