I have been in a rental property managed by Better Homes and Gardens for over 3 years and have had such a great experience. The BHAG team communicated well and ensured proper attention was provided when I had any issues. As I move on to a new state and a new home, I will take their level of care with me.

I think this people need a higher rating on Google so I'm happy to give them 5 stars and provide my own experience: The realtor helped get us approved for a house rental - from being declined, to talking with the home owner and getting us in there.. since living at the house we have had a few issues.. I call the office and they usually send someone out the same day and fix it. I've been late on rent one time.. they offered to waive the late fee and gave me some extra time to pay it. Regardless of what others are complaining about, I appreciate this office and think they do a good job. Thank you!

I am really shocked at the negative reviews because we had nothing but a positive business relationship for 9 years. We owned a home and sought out a property manager in the Savannah area based on the Dave Ramsey website. I thought that the monthly fee was an amazingly small amount compared to the trouble it would be for us to handle the rental of this home. The renters that were placed in the home either took good care of it, or were notified that there were issues that needed to be corrected, and they fixed them. To my knowledge, all of the renters were military affiliated, which was an honor for us to have them rent our home. We made sure that BHG knew that we wanted the best for our tenants that we could reasonably supply, and they made sure that happened. We received a monthly statement keeping us informed of all costs and deposits- they have their own maintenance crew or contacts, which made it easy for repairs- and if they didn't have a special crew, they were perfectly fine with us using our own. We also wanted to sell our property during the recession, and BHG will handle the sale, but they recommended that we wait because the market was so low. They could have sold it and made their portion....at a loss for us...but they did not. So, we took their advice, bit the bullet....and held on. This spring, we sold our home in a bidding war! What a pleasant surprise! :-) We loved this old home and it meant a lot that it was going to someone that might value the character, so much that they were willing to be involved in a bidding war. Did I mention that we live in another state? All of this was done long distance! Oh, and the entire closing of the home, all of the documents and signing took place electronically. We were expecting to do it the old school way by driving down and spending the entire day closed up in an office with strangers. In summary, we were so pleased with the rental administration that we let BHG handle the sale. Our home sold in 2 weeks. That amazing for any market. So I highly recommend this company. I could not be more pleased. After 9 years of a business relationship, I will kinda miss them. I recommend you use them.

My experience was past excellence. Janet Adams went above and beyond finding me a condo. I was 5 hours away and she would FaceTime with me on walk throughs. Thank you I’m loving my new condo. Even two weeks after closing she checked on us.

Dominick & I knew when we met Becky Partin that we had not only found a realtor but also a friend. All of our questions/concerns were answered w/professionalism & courtsey. Her calm positive attitude, the way she held my hand & walked me through the process & had patience w/me when I would get flustered over the process. Thank you Becky, you're awesome! :)

I am a 1st time leasee with this company & moved down here in December from MI. They did nothing other than shampoo the carpets, pull nails out of the walls & fix the toilet prior to moving in. I did tell them not to paint the interior because the colors are nice. The yard, both front & back, is a horrible mess & we've been working hard to clean it up since moving in & are still not done. We can't even open all our windows on a nice day because they couldn't even spend a little money to fix the screens. Mind you the previous tenant lived here 9 years & there was a hurricane this past October. This all should have been done prior to us moving in. This place sat empty for almost 3 months. I cannot speak for all of their properties, but suggest you do your research. The staff is very nice & helpful.

Update: the person who responded to my post is lying because I’ve had my last name changed, and I am using my nickname as my first name on this account. There is no way they know who I am. Further proof of what kind of people they are.

Military families run away! Thieves, liars and scam artists. They refuse to fix broken appliances, won’t repair simple home damage that was costing us money in electric bills, and refuse to return our phone calls. After 2 years we were fed up with dealing with it, (did I mention they raised our rent the second year and still did no repairs?) and even at the end they tried to screw us over. Do not trust this company or give them your business. The only person in this company worth anything is Kendyl, and she tried her best.

Military Family’s- please beware! My family rented a house through them and they are a nightmare for renters. Make sure u document and take pictures as you move in and out and keep your copies of everything! Make sure you are aware of your legal rights as a tenant under Georgia law. My family and I had an awful experience with company and it’s a shame. I loved Richmond Hill Ga but they certainly put a stain on the city.

WORST property management company I have ever dealt with!! I had lived in a house managed by this company for 3 years. I was a perfect tenant, took care of the property and always paid my rent on time. I decided to purchase a house that is why I moved. ( I purposely chose not to use them for my home purchase because of their lack of customer service for their property management). I notified them more than 60 days before my lease had ended that I planned on moving out. I had asked if I could move out a month early and get some sort of proration on the last month (knowing that they already found a tenant to move in after my lease was up). Their answer was I would have to pay a penalty which was equal to one months rent, knowing full well that they had a tentate that was going to pay for that month as well. I decided just to stay that final month. This is when my biggest issue with them starts. After my move out, they charged me $650 against my deposit. By no means do I ever expect to get my full deposit back, and know most of the charges are a scam. But they take it to the extreme. We spent countless hours cleaning the house and had the carpet cleaned. Making sure we turned the house in an acceptable condition. But charging me $650 is extreme, especially with the condition I left the house in. These are the extra charges i find ridiculous. I was charged $125 for spot cleaning (ok so this is a normal add on) I got charged $25 for an air filter (which I replaced the day I moved out) $25 to install a lightbulb (I bought a pack of light bulbs and gave them to them with the keys) They said they had to pay someone to go over and screw in that light bulb.... For $25!!! Mind you there is someone supposedly spot cleaning. I can neither confirm nor deny that happened. I also got charged $150 for the lawn.( I had the lawn mowed, edged, and the bushes trimmed 7 days before the move out date) mind you it rained every day that week so the grass had grown and I could not mow it again because of the rain. They said it was still my responsibility to have it done upon move out. So fine, I understand charging to get mowed which costs $50 tops (because thats how much i payed to get it done) but to be charged 3 times that is unbelievable. The rest was just normal scam fees. I understand that some of these are small fees. But it is the principal of things. When I tried to challenge these charges it took multiple calls and emails to even get a response. So after two weeks of trying to get an answer they are saying the charges stand. Anyways I generally never fill out these reviews... But this company is completely the worst. I would suggest looking elsewhere if you were interested in renting or purchasing from these people!

This place is horrible. Not only did they screw up our mortgage, but laughed in my face when I said I needed my check returned to go on to my next home. The secretaries are clearly only high school educated, and no one does their job. I will also add that as I am very angry at the hold up in getting my money back, the uneducated secretaries are rude and confrontational and would rather record you, and play it for supervisors thofficean try to treat a client with dignity, offer coffee and fix the problem. I was told these two knew nothing, had nothing to do with what went wrong. Two bullies getting paid to work, and lie. We were told the only person who could give us our check was not in, then he was in a meeting. You cannot keep money that doesn't belong to you and expect customers to be happy. This place should clean house or shut down. And I hope I don't receive a response like the others, doing a lot of defending of mediocrity, rather than fix the clear communication issues in this office.

I hired this property management. Wish I never did. They always deposit the money late, dont keep the contract deal. Forget about pictures every 6 months of your property. If something goes wrong with your property because they didnt do their job, they discount 50% of lease without your permission!! 1 year is long enough!

I was told they couldn't run my application because the home I was applying for had an approved application on it and the lease was signed, here we are a month later and the home is still up on their site for rent. They just did not want to rent that particular home to an African American couple.

I'm going to go with the crowd. I've had this company manage my rental. 6 months so far every rent has been late at least a month. These people have no idea how to manage. Please stay away
