Linville Land Harbor Golf Club

Played this place in late August of 2022. I’m a 4ish handicap and play quite a bit. Overall, very fun place to play, couple of specifics for those thinking of playing here:

Great Things:
Crazy Layout - I literally teed off with a wedge from the tips on a par 4.
Greens - Very fast, very true, and very challenging greens.
Staff - They handed me a yardage book, which was a lifesaver.

No Place is Perfect Items:
Fairways - Although in good shape, they were a tad long.
Snack Shop - They have a vending machine, but we played early, and although their Patio restaurant is awesome, it wasn’t available until 11.

Really enjoyed my round here. I’ll be back!

The course was in good shape and the greens were contoured and rolled well. Friendly course among lots of old resort homes. Give it a try.

Love this place! Very relaxing and worth buying or renting a place to stay. Great for all ages and the lake is a great center piece to the community.

Great little course. Very scenic. Not long, but still challenging. Friendly staff and a well-stocked pro shop.

Beautiful views and friendly atmosphere. I loved all the amenities, but the best part was the silence. It is so relaxing.

I offer driving for folks that live in the community to various destinations, so I offer no tips, but the passengers golf there quite often enjoyably, and it's beautiful too!!!!

Beautiful course and well maintained. Not a long course but very fun and well laid out. Staff were friendly to us and helpful as this was our first time playing there. We'll definitely play there again next time we visit Linville.

Course is in great shape and the greens rolled fast and true. Friendly staff, but $70 was a little steep compared to other area courses.

This place has a great burgers right there by the field!!! Such a wonderful scenery! I was so glad to have lunch here! You can almost never find such beautiful outdoor dining places nowadays. Feels private and secluded with the views of golf field.

Very interesting golf course. Visually appealing with drastic changes in elevation. Constant risk-reward decisions to make. Hit the landing areas and you can score, miss them and pay the price. You must play the two par-5s and the short par-4 16th in at least even par (I birdied all three my first time playing the course), because big numbers await elsewhere. The traps are exceptional with the perfect amount of sand and the greens are true to the read. It is rated at 66 and breaking 70 requires a great round of golf and some good breaks along the way.

Don't let the yardage fool you. This is very challenging, especially if it's your first time playing the course.

People are extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend playing there if you're anywhere near the area.

What a wonderful spot! The people are so friendly and helpful. The variety of fun things to do are sure to please any and all tastes. I have been coming to Land Harbor for sixteen summers and never had a dull moment. Weather is great. Golf course continues to challenge me on every outing.

I adore this golf course! Being from the lowcountry of SC I’m used to playing on flatter, longer courses. This is a whole different kind of golf to me. Lots of elevation changes. Lots of shorter holes that have a severe dogleg that requires you pay attention to the suggested landing area. Front 9 has a couple of holes that let you rip it, but back 9 makes you keep the driver in the bag. Number 17 is a par 3 beast!

Great staff and very well kept course. It’s not on the level of some of its neighbors - but who is honestly? There is some rare air up there and very few public options (this being one of them). Front 9 is very nice if not a bit tight, but has “real” holes designed by Tom Jackson. Back 9 should scrap all the par 4s and replace each with two par 3s instead. You’d have a really nice 12/13 hole par 3 course back there. Really cool grill overlooks 9th hole with great food and good prices in pro shop on gear.

Very nice course! Really enjoyed staff and the clubhouse very nice people, took care of all our need , will definitely play course again ;) Best Burgers I’ve ever had wow!!! Good job to all thank you for the wonderful experience;)

This course is gorgeous and in perfect shape! Probably my new favorite course!

First. The staff in the pro office and shop. Absolutely all so accommodating. A special 👍to Karen. The course , challenging but so beautiful u have to stay focused. Can’t wait to return this August. I’ll be there 3, months. I m a Lucky Man 😊👍

LLH is a great place to be. I love all the mountain views and the beautiful rhododendrons everywhere. The homeowners keep llh hopping with activities and decorated year round. A great lake and picnic area, a pool and large activities building, the Linville river running right through it, Golf and other amenities. We love it every time we come up to our house.

Linville Land Harbor is a wonderful community with so many activities and amenities, you won't believe this incredible value. It has the best golf course in the area, a lakeside pool, hiking trails, trout fishing, canoeing, crafts, dances, exercise classes and more. Residents and visitors are friendly and welcoming. You can rent a home for the season or stay and play while you look for your own ideal LLH mountain retreat to purchase. If you want to experience the closest place to heaven, this is it!
