Wellstar Paulding Medical Center

My husband and I ended up taking our daughter there for respiratory stress. From the triage nurses checking us in and the nurses and Dr. were great. They took care of our sweet girl and were so nice. That was our second visit and I recommend them for emergency situations.

Brought my mom to ER they were fantastic. They had to admit her and all of the staff on the 6th floor are awesome. So helpful and caring. Excellent care!!! They get 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🤩

My husband spent 8 days at this hospital, The staff was great especially his nurses. I only wish they would get some Doctors for Ob/gyn, neurologists and psychiatrist. The hospital itself is very clean and convenient to our house but they can’t help when a psychiatrist is needed. We have to do a virtual with a Dr. we’ve never seen before. Nobody could actually say why they still do not have these Dr’s on staff. But this hospital beats Cobb Wellstar hands down.

I want to say thank you to the ICU Department for the amazing care of my Aunt. I was truly impressed by this hospital and will forever be thankful for the staff getting us through one of the hardest time of our lives. 💜🕊💜

My Doctor's office is inside this hospital building. It's clean and welcoming. The Bistro is awesome. It serves muffins, cake and coffee. Parking is free.

I came with a throat problem and was semi admitted. The nurses (Deepa, Julie and Grace) were amazing and professional. My stay was made as comfortable as possible. Thanks

I'm not certain why this hospital is rated low. I will honestly say my entire care was outstanding. I had to be admitted for observation and the entire staff was attentive and caring. The cafeteria food was well prepared and tasty. The
Cleanliness of this hospital was great. The doctrs were informative and patient. My overall score is 10.. it was outstanding performance. Thank you for your care.

I was a bit surprised to read so many negative reviews regarding care at Wellstar Paulding. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the care I received. I went in this past Saturday night with an acute asthma attack. We’re they busy? Of course they were - it was 4th of July weekend. Upon arriving in the ER my vitals and history were taken and I waited my turn to go back. Yes, it took about 45 minutes to get into a bay - but every single bay was full. Despite that, I had an x-ray and CT scan within 2 to 3 hours. During that time I was given breathing treatments and a nurse was continually checking on me. I knew the hospital was full - and I understand the delays that happen.

I saw the doctor sometime during the night and I was promptly on oxygen support though all of it. I was cleared for admittance Sunday morning, but I was in an ER bay until a room opened up for me. I did take it upon myself to download the app for the wellstar system and use it to track my care. The data revealed each and every encounter at the hospital, including everything else from other physicians who participate in EPIC.

I was able to see immediate test results and I knew who my care team was and , once in a room, each medication I was to be given and when. I was just released today from Acute Care having been in for 5 days. During that time I did not have one bad encounter with anyone. From the custodians to the doctors- I received superlative care.

I know that not everyone has a good experience - but from what I read in the bad reviews it seems to come down to a lack of understanding of how a hospital works. It may look and feel quiet and it makes you frustrated that you haven’t seen someone or you feel they are late or deficient in their care for you or a loved one. But the quiet is on purpose - the calm, quiet, and orderly manner from which medical staff triages patients is meant to keep your nerves in check.

Real hospitals are not TV shows of ERs with medical personnel calling codes and yelling STAT. These professionals deserve to be treated with kindness and appreciation for what they are doing for you. Thank them, tell them you appreciate their hard work. Be kind, even if you’re hurting.

I went into the ER at Wellstar Paulding Hospital last Friday, ended up staying the night and all of Saturday. The care I received was wonderful. Every member of the staff was professional and courteous. I would like to tell Mellisa and Carl that were on duty Saturday how very much we appreciate their care. Both stood out in their profession.
The ladies and gentleman in the stress test area were very comforting.
The five Drs. I saw while there, were very caring and great at explaining things to me.
Thank you so much for the care you gave.

My husband and I have been to WellStar Paulding for several different issues over the last 7 or so years and, even in the emergency room we’ve always been treated like family! Not sure why the bad ratings but in our opinions, this hospital is amazing!

My Grandson was taken here by ambulance and the emergency room staff were absolutely great. He was be very well taken care of. The pediatric emergency area is pristine, and the staff is wonderful. Very greatfull for them.

Recently spent about 16 hours in the ER with my father. Even though you have to wait, we received great care. (Most of that waiting was waiting for a bed to open up) The nurses and Dr's were very competent and caring. We've always had great experiences at Wellstar Paulding. And I'm very thankful our community has a great hospital close by.

Absolutely the best care in the world!!! Every single person, from the volunteers to the surgeons, have been amazing. We have been to a million facilities with my dad and we have some very bad experiences. Every time we have come to Paulding Wellstar it has been amazing!!!!

Wonderful experience. Husband had a heart attack and he was given such good care! We especially liked out nurse in the ICU who took the time to explain and answer many questions. The heart doctor and all of his staff were great too and helped keep us calm and confident of great care.

Great experience today. Went to the ER for shoulder pain and was treated with kindness at triage and even got the number of the ladies hair stylist on my way out. They were so nice! My nurses and doctor and x-ray tech were all professional and kind. I was in and out within 2 hours. Thanks and God bless you!

The staff has went way beyond what they were suppose to do from the nurses to the care partners I am very pleased and satisfied with everyone.
I high recommend this hospital to everyone who wants to be treated like family.

Kaitlin and Blane in the ER were phenomenal taking care of my grandfather. We got 5-star service and informative care. Blane was just incredibly smooth and helpful with this difficult time. Kaitlin’s bedside manners were great. I can’t express how awesome this emergency visit went because of these two.

We have rarely had a bad experience at this hospital. The staff are great and very caring, especially the Pediatric staff. Except for the one physician we saw when our son was a baby, but they corrected her behavior VERY quickly so that she couldn't potentially harm anyone else's child. It's nice to have a dependable hospital so close to home.
