This company clearly doesn’t have a training course on culture and diversity and professional standards when employing individuals. I called this company to share my concern in regards to one of its employees that made CULTURALLY & RACIALLY insensitive commentary in my community, where their contracting services were being rendered through the city/county (GWINNETT) and was dismissed with my complaint by both the receptionist of this place, and then ultimately the supervisor by the name of Dwayne. The receptionist of this morally insensible establishment was more concerned & ignorantly inquisitive about the name that showed on their caller I.D. of my company issued device! Are you kidding me?? By all means don’t dare contact this company on ANY device listed under your organizations name, because they’ll hang up in your face AND question why you’re calling from said! Beware of this detestable establishment and their contracting service, irregardless of residential services or even a government/city approved contract.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding an unfortunate incident involving your employees that occurred today 12/20/2023. During my morning walk with my dogs in Ellington Springs in Snellville, I was dismayed to overhear profoundly rude and unprofessional remarks, including racially insensitive comments made by some of your staff members. The team was having some sort of team gathering and when completed they concluded with the chant of “WHITE POWER” and it was followed up with “HONKEY TONK”.

The disrespectful conduct and offensive language used by your employees not only caused me great discomfort but also raised serious questions about the values and professionalism upheld within your organization. Such behavior is entirely unacceptable and does not align with the standards of decency and respect that should prevail in any workplace and certainly not in my Community where I pay taxes.

When I then called and spoke to the receptionist she laughed and gave me very rude unprofessional comments as well. She then hung up on me. So I contacted my HOA president to inform her. I then called back yet again and asked for a manger or supervisor and I spoke with a Project Manager by the name of Dwayne. I then explained all of this to him and Dwayne (insensitive) says “well I don’t understand what you’re getting at what WHITE POWER could mean or the problem”. So then I begin explaining how insensitive in nature this comment can be to a African - American in this predominantly Black community and to my shock DWAYNE hangs up the phone. I’m not sure who this company is or how they have been operating this long but this is beyond unprofessional and something needs to be done ASAP.

I strongly urge your company to take immediate action in addressing this issue. I believe it is crucial to conduct a thorough investigation into this incident and implement appropriate measures to prevent the recurrence of such unacceptable behavior. Furthermore, I sincerely hope that Lanier Contracting will prioritize diversity training and instill a culture of inclusivity and respect among its employees.

As a customer, I had expected a professional and courteous interaction with your team, which unfortunately was marred by this incident. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and take decisive steps to ensure that all employees adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and treat all customers with the dignity and respect they deserve.

I would appreciate prompt communication regarding the actions taken in response to this complaint. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and inform me of the steps being taken to address and rectify this situation.
