Best Chinese food ever! I love this place always will. Homemade egg rolls, sweet and sour sauce. Nothing like these other commercialized restaurants in the area. My mom has been coming here since the 70’s and Jim knows us by name when we visit.

Old school room with a cash register. You give them cash they make your food. Pretty good, no frills, but a solid inexpensive combo plate with a lot of food.

I have been going to yick inn since 1976. I love Jimmi and his wife. They are very straight forward. I think Yick inn house egg rolls are the best egg rolls in the state of Wisconsin. I have had one place in Madison that came close but if given a choice it's 100% Yick inn. I also get shrimp fried rice from here from time to time, which is equally as good! 👍

I've been ordering here since the late 70s when my friend started working there. Food is always fantastic. Eggrolls are the absolute BEST ive had in my life thus far.I always get the same things when I order, & Jim always comes out to say Hi. I appreciate the history & friendship that I have with Jim. PLZ....never close!!!

I have been ordering from this place since 1994 when I was introduced to this place. I used to work real close to Yick Inn and back in the day the lunch specials were around $4.25 lol. They hands down have the best egg rolls in town and chunky ones at that, not slim like some places. I order from them a couple times a year because I don't live close by, but I will say they're worth the trip.

If you TRULY want AUTHENTIC Cantonese/Chinese Food, then THIS IS WHERE YOU'LL FIND IT!💯 EVERYTHING is made to order so be prepared to wait, BUT THE WAIT IS WORTH IT! Very minimal selection on the menu, all the basics and very inexpensive. The lady at the register is very polite and has a great sense of humor, as you will see by the signage out front!🙃 The tastes are what I remember from my childhood!🤗 My new favorite go to when I come home to visit!❤💯❤💯

I've been enjoying The Yick Inn since 1988!!! Absolutely BEST Chinese cuisine in Milwaukee hands down and the chef Jimmy is a true treasure. Do not skip the egg rolls which are legendary!

One of the top places in Milwaukee! I'm seldom in the area but when I do, I always grab my fried rice. Growing up as a kid in the 90s, my mother would order here, bring it home but would be acting stingy with her food towards me lol...Pure nostalgia...

Mr Yick and his lovely wife have been in business since 1977 and I have been a customer of theirs ever since! They have been a fan favorite of mine because the food is tasty, fresh and delicious every time! My favorite order is a large Shrimp Subgum Chop Suey, Shrimp Fried Rice and Eggroll. I love their Shrimp Subgum because they use large fresh shrimp with tons of delicious stir fry vegetables like celery, onions and mushrooms which is combined in a savory sauce with plenty to go around! The vegetables are cooked just right with a little crunch never soggy because each order is cooked to perfection as ordered. It is a great alternative from processed fast food joints because EVERYTHING is cooked FRESH when you order! Out of their 44 years of serving the city of Milwaukee I have NEVER eaten a bad meal or been dissatisfied! They are no. 1 in my book!
