Wow!!!!! This place is awesome. The staff was very helpful, energetic, and very professional. This was only half of a great dining experience for the whole family. We showed up with no reservation and were seated at the bar and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone was more than excited as each plate came out. The mussels were extraordinary, and the wine and meal were top-notch. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I didn't get a chance to take a picture, but the Lamb Chops were amazing!!! I stumbled across this place while on a run. Making a reservation was the best decision. The service was great and I ate outside because the weather was perfect. Wine, muscles, and Lamb.

What a hidden jewel!! We are so happy to have found Cafe Des Amis. Yes it’s just as good as it looks! This was our second time back and and it definitely will not be our last. Such a cozy and inviting atmosphere. We enjoy sitting at the bar so we can visit with the owner Guillaume who most assume is just a French waiter. Thanks again for wonderful food and service!

Cafe des Amis has to one of the best kept secrets of KC. They excel in everything from food, service, to atmosphere. This hidden gem is worth visiting. Their menu changes to pair with the season. You have an excellent selection and each dish is harmonious combination of flavor. Their dessert options are scrumptious in their own right, but the passionfruit sorbet will take you back with its perfectly tangy/sweet flavor.

It has been years since I had been here and after going last night, kind of upset with myself it's been so long! From start to finish, I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT CAFE DES AMIS.
I called same day, on a Wedneaday after and the owner was able to squeeze us in for a midweek romantic dinner:). The husband and wife pair that own/run this business are TOP NOTCH.
The food quality is mind blowing and literally wanted more of everything we tried. The fresh maid lavender infused butter was absolutely incredible and made the entire dinner that much more enjoyable. The fresh bread they give you is absolutely out of this world and perfectly baked.
The husband being a pastry chef and the wife being a chef back in the kitchen makes this place even that much more enjoyable with a fabulous back story. The pictures that I am going to post with this absolutely do not do this place Justice whatsoever. I would recommend expecting to be here at least an hour and a 1/2 to enjoy the full experience.
The wine menu is also very unique and educational giving you the wines the area of the world they come from and then the pricing. Then you flip to the back of the wine menu and it describes every single wine they offer in detail and show you a picture of the bottle, very nice touch!
We had a very enjoyable and laugh filled conversation at the end of the evening with the owner himself. He is so full of life energy and humor!
If you even kind of like French inspired food, You just need a place to go one evening for a nice dinner with your significant other, Or perhaps your celebrating something very special. You would literally be doing yourself an injustice and missing out on this little piece of joy in your life. If you did not try this restaurant at least once!

Oh my. This was my first time here, but definitely not my last. EVERYTHING was amazing from food to service to atmosphere.

Amazing French cuisine! The service was second to none!

One bite and it's easy to tell these chefs know what they're doing. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The staff was attentive and personable, and the atmosphere was surprisingly comfortable with music and heaters for their outdoor dining area. We are looking to go back again soon

I can’t say enough about this place. Been wanting to go for 3 years and finally had an excuse for my birthday. The wine list is beyond impressive and expertly curated. The menu is exotic and features food unlike anything else you will find in KC. The Prince Edward Island Mussels and Pan-Roasted Quail were incredible as was the crime brûlée and soufflé we had for dessert. This is a wonderful hidden gem in Parkville that I would recommend to anyone.

My husband and I chose Cafe Des Amis for a rare date night. We sat on the patio and thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The staff was gracious and the food was amazing. The wine suggestions were spot on. We will definitely be back.

I have been here multiple times and it is always an amazing experience! Every bite of food is wonderful, the wine selection was huge and the service is always 5 star! The atmosphere is also wonderful whether you are inside or outside on the covered deck. I can't say enough good things about this place! If you want a romantic dinner with your significant other or a fun evening with friends this is the place!

Our dinner club comes here every year. It's also great for a romantic dinner. The food is always perfect, and we are in love with the hospitality. There's a great wine menu (of course), and you must have dessert. Top notch. There is outdoor seating to the side and the back for larger groups. I don't like trout and yet it's so delicious here I get it every time. I love the special themed menus and events so I recommend you follow them on social media so you can get updates.

Always a wonderful experience! Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious perfectly prepared dishes! Our menu for the night included pate, bone marrow, bouillabaisse, lamb, pork shoulder and for dessert rum soaked cake with nutella ice cream. All perfectly prepared to satisfy taste buds and tummies! Do yourself a favor and make it a priority to stop in. The owner will be running around in his bowtie with the biggest smile on his face as the dinning room fills up (also has outdoor seating for those perfect Missouri nights) greeting his guests, it shows that he loves his restaurant and what they have accomplished!

Went for the Rose Wine Dinner. Amazing food and service. Loved learning about the wines that were paired by the sommelier.

Never have had anything but a fantastic experience here.

My friends and I had the pleasure of eating lunch at Cafe des Amis today. I ordered the rainbow trout which came with a salad with the perfect amount of dressing. The portion size of fish was large as the photo shows. Warm bread with lavender butter was also brought to the table. For dessert I chose to be adventurous and had an almond and pistachio cake topped with a strawberry mousse and a strawberry sauce. It was like eating heaven. Our waitresses were friendly and attentive. I was full but not stuffed. My bill was $23 , such a reasonable price for a delectable meal.

After the first minute of visiting this restaurant, I got a very bad impression because We were received Very cool, the waitress practically kicked out of the restaurant because they had already reserved everything for other visitors.But almost as we left we were caught by another waiter, he turned out to be a Frenchman, a very friendly person who brought us back.I did not regret that I came back because the food in this restaurant was excellent. I highly recommend visiting this place for other visitors. But first you need to book a table there.Thank you.

Quaint, relaxed and just what we need to stop and enjoy life WITH great food. This was my first time here and I’m very unfamiliar with French cuisine. I’m an adventurous eater and enjoyed everything. I’m not a wine drinker but I enjoyed some delicious beer.

One of the best meals I have ever had. Fantastic truly French restaurant. The food is really nice. Their French wine menu is so complete that it could be confusing.

Acquaint little French restaurant on the second floor in downtown parkville. The food was amazing and Sarah was a fantastic server. The timing on the courses was perfect.
