Lauren always knows just what to do to get the color I am wanting from my hair while ensuring it stays healthy and strong! It’s always such a fun and friendly atmosphere there from whoever is working the front desk, to the owner and her dog Dottie! Since high school, this is the fourth salon I’ve gone to. By far it is my favorite. Definitely going to continue to stay with Lauren at Shear Lock Combs!

lauren had been my best friend for over 15 years. she did my hair before she even worked as a stylist. she’s the only one who has done my hair since! she also does my brother’s, my sister’s, my mom and dad’s and most of my friend’s hair for over ten years. i love her, the salon she works at and i always leave feeling beautiful. i would recommend her and her salon to anyone and everyone! ❤

Brie was my hair dresser absolutely love her she genuinely cares about her customers and there needs, she takes her time and makes sure your happy looks amazing, she’s super outgoing and so incredibly nice!!! Will always request her to do my hair she is 100% the best!!!!

We used them on a whim for prom hair. They got us in at the very last minute, and it couldn't have gone better. My daughter loved her hair and Bree! Since she has been back for a hair cut. Made an appointment for homecoming hair and was asked today if we could schedule something before Senior Year Book photo. Yep we loved it!!

If you are looking for a full service salon STOP LOOK NO FURTHER because it does not get any better than here. A person's appearance is very important, they say the first impression meeting anyone is everything, in all honesty your first impression isn't the initial greet its what the eye sees before the greet. When you go to a salon you are putting so much trust in their hands literally. After seeing the same beautician for almost 15yrs in February for my anniversary I paid close to 1k for hair extensions and color for them to fall out leaving bald spots went back had the ones put back in yet was given no explanation nor the others rechecked shortly after 3 fell out. I decided I needed a 2nd opinion, after they made room to get me in scheduling an appointment he owner called me after hours from home asking questions about the extensions, products using, trying to have an idea what may be the issue to prepare for my appointment. Talking about customer service and professionalism I felt safe going in the next day. One look at my extensions the immediately saw the numerous issues that had not they caught would have caused damage and ruined my hair for years to come. They undid the previous extensions and started from scratch it was not an easy process but my hair hasn't looked nor felt so good and my confidence so high in I can't recall honestly. And what they charged let's just say I cried leaving because it truly was a blessing. Here's some before and after pictures

Ashley Merrill is the absolute best stylist in the St. Peter’s area, never a moment of disappointment. I’ve been going to her for 7+ years and have never left her sight unsatisfied. She makes sure I am more than happy with my hair, keeps my hair healthy, neat and in-style. I will absolutely never reconsider a stylist. Most definitely the top cosmetologist around.

I love the decor, the salon is so cute! Lauren was my stylist, she was so nice and helped me get exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't believe that the price for my services was so affordable. I will definitely be back.

I've had Ashley M. As a hair stylist for about 2 years now and she is the absolute best! She will always give you exactly what you want and never fails at it. She has always cared for the health of one's hair but always keeping me satisfied with the look. 100% reccomend you should go see her!

I followed Kayla from her previous salon. She is really good at what she does. She's been doing my hair for years. I see her every six weeks, she always asks if I want to do something different and no matter what we decide it always turns out great.

Start off by saying wow! I absolutely love this place and my haircut! I got Hannah and I must say she is the best, not only pretty but very sweet. Will definitely be returning just to see her, the staff is amazing and you can see why this place has been here for so many years. Even if you have a horrible receding hairline she can set you up 👉. I was looking for a new salon to try out and I found the Groupon for Shear-Lock Combs having never even heard of it I was a little nervous. I had a little trouble finding it and ended up passing the plaza that they're in and had to loop back around to get there. I ended up being about 10 minutes late but Erin was very understanding and assured me that it was fine. This place was worth the drive to find!!! Erin was great! She did a wonderful job on my cut and hi-lights, she was very personable and fun to talk to. Erin was also very attentive, she checked on me frequently while I was under the dryer and always let me know how much longer I had before the next step. I was very happy with everything and will definitely be going back!!! Thank You Erin and Shear-Lock Combs West!!!

Having recently relocated to St. Charles from Ohio, I needed a stylist and preferred one nearby. This was the first place I looked up because I remembered their punny name. After hours of searching, reading reviews, and comparing shops/stylists I decided to give this place a shot. I made an easy online appointment with Lauren and honestly I am blown away. She listened to what I wanted (a long textured Bob with bangs) and offered a few of her own suggestions and I am beyond satisfied. Lauren didn't just give me what I wanted, she somehow went so far above that..I'm over the moon! I didn't know my hair could look this good!
