Beautiful restaurant with one of the largest bar selection i ever seen and live music on sunday night! Food is good, we were seated a bit cramp (12pp) could have been better if they gave 1 more table. Better if you go in 2-3 pp. Prepare to have ID ready. Drinks are very strong. We ordered tapas which supposedly appertizer but the portion is quite sizable. Recommend nacho cheese for large group to share

I went with my husband and a friend. We had a good time. The music on the first floor was country music (we went on a Saturday) and on the tio floor was hip hop and is a dance floor they have a bar also and they don't have sitting area unless you go to the vip area. I have gone before on a Friday, and the live music was different. I don't know if it depends on the day or is a random way they put the music, but it was fun, both times.

Such a beautiful bar with amazing drinks and great service from the staff. Every drink we ordered was delicious! The bartenders were helpful with suggestions and recommendations. The bar itself is gorgeous and classy. Bathrooms were so pretty and clean! It was a great experience and we will definitely be going back next time we are in town!

The bartenders were world class and the cocktails were fantastic.

If you’re a whiskey enthusiast you’ll enjoy their whiskey list. The price per oz was hit or miss. Some allocated bottles were way way over priced and other allocated bottles were very reasonable.

I had the pleasure of dining at Lake Effect in downtown Salt Lake City on a lively Saturday evening, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. This establishment truly caters to all ages, offering a dynamic atmosphere that is sure to appeal to a diverse crowd.

The upper level of Lake Effect is a hub of energy, featuring a talented DJ spinning tunes to keep the vibe upbeat and engaging. On the ground level, live bands provide a fantastic backdrop for your evening. However, it was the downstairs area that truly captured my attention with its intriguing speakeasy ambiance, transporting me to another era.

Our server, Lucas, was a standout highlight of the evening. His warm welcome and genuine interest in our preferences set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. After inquiring about our preferred spirits and flavors, Lucas expertly guided us through their extensive cocktail menu, recommending a drink from their cocktail bible that perfectly suited our tastes. Trust me when I say, if you stick to your usual gin and tonic or whiskey sour, you're doing yourself a disservice. Lake Effect boasts a plethora of inventive and delicious cocktails that are not to be missed.

The menu at Lake Effect features tapas-style dishes, and each item we sampled was an absolute delight for the taste buds. From savory bites to delectable treats, every dish showcased the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff. The variety and quality of the offerings left me eager to return and explore more of their menu.

Seriously one of the coolest bars I’ve been too! The decor is so beautiful & unique. As I searched for the upstairs bathroom someone said, “It’s the coolest bathroom I’ve ever seen,” and I agree!

Favorite place in the area. Great cocktail list with a mix of traditional and modern offerings. The food was also great. We ended up staying for dinner and we're both very happy with our orders (burger and the tacos). Highly recommend. The place does have a cover during weekends.

Atmosphere was great, we LOVED the music from Yudi Official Music. Her voice was incredible.
Food was good, I ordered the avocado toast.
My friends ordered the omelet (rated good with mushrooms and potatoes) jalapeño biscuits and gravy (rated delicious would eat again) Anyway
And the pastrami torta (amazing!)

I got the garden party mocktail. Fresh vibe with pineapple juice.

We were able to find street parking on the other side of the block. The people who took our IDs were very friendly. We came with reservations on a Saturday night. We had to wait about five minutes for them to clear a table for us. We were seated right by the live music, which luckily wasn't too loud. The waiter immediately brought us waters which I liked. He was quite attentive for it being a busy Saturday night. The food was incredible. We got the tacos and the paella. The rice on the paella was slightly overcooked on the bottom, but the rest was fluffy. Overall, we had a great experience and we will be back. We really enjoyed the attention to details for the atmosphere. I would recommend this place!

Really good food and very cool space which was even cooler with the chill live music. Nachos are delicious and very large. Most beers were $7 and they were huge imperial pints.

Went for cocktails only and it did not dissapoint..tremendous selection of bourbons/whiskey and great handcrafyed cocktails...super over the top friendly bar staff. Great lighting, lovely atmosphere.

The atmosphere and decor was really cool, but the table and the chairs we were sat at weren't comfortable for 6 people. Our waiter was very nice, when he ever came around, it took a long time in between drinks for him to return. Our food was good, but they missed one person's order, so their dish arrived when everyone else's were almost finished. The liquor selection is impressive, but my experience there was not. I'll try again for brunch, a lot of people have said that's a far better time to go.

My girlfriend and I randomly chose a bar/ restaurant that had live music and we were not disappointed! Everything about this place was absolutely wonderful! The quality of food was exceptional, the service was great, the atmosphere was lovely and very fitting for the genre of music they had there. They had two different musicians (on a Monday night) that were both great. The cocktails were amazing and the food was really tasty and were quite creative dishes overall. Highly recommend for a date night and a night out among friends! We will definitely be coming back next time we visit SLC.

Stopped by this place to have a couple drinks before dinner and it did not disappoint! Bartenders were amazing, made suggestions on drinks that turned out delicious and a super cool old building. Will definitely try food there next time! Only downfall is the price of drinks.

Beautiful old building built in 1910 and they have definitely kept a classy old-fashioned atmosphere in the restaurant. I have been here a few times and they have an extensive and delicious drink menu. The food ranges from burgers to sea bass with scallops, and they have a late night menu.

Great place!! Quiet on a Sunday afternoon but the ambiance is very inviting. The staff are very attentive but not overbearing at all, just right for great service. Only had an app but the food looked really good as well.
The seating and small cozy booths are well done and provide the perfect book for a date night or cozy foursome.
Stop in, you won’t be disappointed!

Lake Effect is the premiere and best venue in Salt Lake City for private events. It's close to the convention center and ideal for any sized event with 3 floors. We had a 300-person event and rented the Main Floor section and it was epic! Our Events Manager was INCREDIBLE and so on top of every detail from the responding quickly to space inquiry from the outset to every detail on night of and honoring every request we had from small to big. She's a true class act and was instrumental in the success of our event! The staff were also so wonderful, helpful, and everything was beyond perfect! We even had a photo booth and theme to our event, which drew more guests to the fun. Thanks to the manager and all for an event we're still hearing good things about!

I ate a delicious dinner in the speakeasy downstairs. The atmosphere is so warm and cozy. They have a huge list of cocktails. The menu has gluten free items clearly marked (and there’s a good selection). Be sure to ask about cross contamination though. Our server was busy, but sweet and helpful. Upstairs there was live music and a great bar. I look forward to coming here again on my next trip to SLC.

I love this place for a romantic date night with my husband, this place has a friendly staff. 3 floors of just nice chill vibes. Beautiful bottom floor with a dark dinning room, first floor is very bright with an wide open bar and a live band, top floor is a Adam an Eve theme to it with the most gorgeous restroom were the dance floor is!. Definitely coming back for the Wagyu and Moscow Mules !

What an amazing atmosphere and even better staff! I hosted a social event in the “Church” for up to 75 people and it couldn’t have been smoother from an operations standpoint.
