Bald Head Island Club

Great vibes, great drinks. They were very accommodating for my handicapped mother. She was able to walk into the zero entry pool and do physical therapy. Beautiful pools when they aren't too busy

This place is Awesome,
I transported our equipment to the island on the commercial ferry with our Lowboy tractor trailer.
All of the staff are very helpful and professional.

This entire Island, the tennis, pickle ball, golf and restaurants have been exceptional since I wrote my review 2 years ago. Everyone goes out of their way to assist and help and make sure you are having a good time. Oliver in the golf pro shop is awesome.

This is a rating thats a combined rating for tennis, golf and the club NOT Bald Head Island as a whole. Weve been coming here for 20 years and Bald Head Island is an amazing and unique gem.

The golf course is a fun and challenging course and in excellent shape. The cart crew is helpful and freindly. I did not find the same for the starter or pro shop crew NOT friendly or helpful. The starter was extremely unfreindly both ties I played on this trip.

The tennis starter or pro shop attendant was not only unhelpful but down right rude and no one else was there for 1.5 hours.

The outdoor bar is very nice and staff very friendly. The restaurant is very nice and service is excellent as well.

We love coming to the club every year to swim, and our son loves the slide.

my dad came here and immediately lost all his hair but he looks good bald! 5\5 stars!

The Grille: Although we ate in the Palms, the food came from the grill. The crab bisque was flavorful with chunks of crab and just enough of a sherry drizzle on top. Yum! The jewels of the sea dish a bit on the small side;however, id rather have a flavorful dish than a filling one and this one big on flavor. Only complaint was there were only two small pieces of crab. My husband enjoyed his as well- flavorful, moist short rib and grits. Service attentive.

Club: great pools and activities. Attentive bar tenders, friendly staff. Enjoyed throughly!

I was so impressed with Bald Head Island Club's leadership team as well as the various employees I encountered while on the island! While waiting for the ferry, I met two men who worked at the golf course, and they were super friendly! I also had lunch at the club and Cristian was amazing as well as my salad. Bailey was very accommodating and you can tell that David and the rest of the management team truly care about their employees and all of the members and guests of the club!

With a this type of commitment, anyone who visits the island is sure to enjoy their time while there!

Pretty expensive, but the food is good, the service excellent and the golf course one of the best (and most beautiful!)

We had an awesome time spending 5 days at the Bald Head Island club for a croquet tournament. The lawns are in great condition. The staff was very friendly and took great care of all the players. Eddie and his crew were amazing. Would definitely recommend coming to a croquet tournament here. The golf course also looks great and we hope to be able to play it next time we are on the island.

Visited to play golf via the ferry from Southport. Stunning course in fantastic condition. A must to play.

Golf course is immaculate!!!
I’ve played a lot of top quality courses, and BHI is one one the best.
We hit a few bumps in the road, however the staff went above and beyond to make us have a great experience. Special thanks to Hope in the members office for being great at her job.
We look forward to coming back and playing more.

Very amazing place to eat and have a good time, staff is super friendly and detail oriented. Love the atmosphere that the grille and horizons put off. Don’t listen to these other 1 star reviews especially the one from the Shanee Smart women; she probably just came on a bad day and was probably very rude! Everyone at the club and horizons is amazing! Would definitely recommend coming here!

A beautiful club in a beautiful location. The staff are always courteous and accommodating; even when I have questions and I usually do. The Aquatic section is layed-out well. There is a fun section for the kids and I must admit to being tempted to run through the sprinklers on a hot day. There is also an over 18 pool which is calmer. There are plenty of umbrellas, lounge chairs and tables. The golf course, too, is very well done. It's very well layed out and magnificently maintained. If your on or planning a trip to BHI I would recommend making this a stop for a day or 3.

This may be inside baseball - We were invited to the BHI club to entertain the children with balloon art and face paint last weekend. I've entertained at hundreds of events, so I can say with confidence, that the staff at Bald Head Island Club knows how to treat entertainers and knows how to throw a funtastic event! Everything went smoothly, if you've been to the Island, it takes a lot to get there. The ferry staff, the BHIC members were awesome - the children were awesome too - with excellent manners, and the staff were friendly as can be and eager to help us out since it was our first time at the club - very awesome staff! We felt like we were part of the BHIC family! From an entertainer's point of view, this is what I care about the most - the event was well organized and we were treated with kindness - Caroline and Courtney and staff - thank you again.

I just left Bald head island and I can not express how much I enjoyed my stay! Their were many highlights but I have to share my amazing experience with the head Tennis pro Max. I was blown away at his hospitality and how good of an instructor he is. Most of the times when you go to a resort the experience can feel very cookie cutter. With Max he made you feel like you were in your hometown and he made you feel very welcome! Thanks gain for a great experience and we will be back!!

Awesome golf course and facilities.

Beautiful club on bald head with amazing restaurants and activities. The pool area has a resort feel and there’s beautiful scenery all around. It’s a must when we visit the island.

This was my Second time there within the past month and I have to say this is by far one of the best golf courses. We played 36 holes Friday and 36 Saturday with an all you can golf package while staying on the island and had a great time. The greatest part of it all, I got my first Hole In One on the 13th hole!! The course is in beautiful shape and will be planning to visit and play here many more times in the future. Everyone very friendly and have no complaints!
