Avery County Public Library

Libraries are great things. Avery County Library does a lot with a little funding. The librarians are always pleasant and helpful. If they don't have what you want, they'll get it for you.

Was able to get a library card very easily with driver's license. Found what I needed quickly. Helpful staff. I'll go back.

Love this place well maintained and the librarians are the most lovely ladies.

The library is locked due to covid and is only available via appointment. However, nobody answers the phone or comes to rhe door in order for an appointment to be made. Last time I went, the librarian was inside and came to the door only after I knocked for several minutes. The last time I went nobody answered the phone or came to rhe door. I understand that regulations for covid make things a little different and difficult but the library is a public service that people need for jobs, business, and education. It would be great if the public could actually access these services.
