Arcadia Q

One of the best BBQ joints I've ever had the pleasure to accidentally find. Wife and I were heading towards Mayo River State Park and when we got about 1/2 mile from this place, we started smelling that sweet smell of 'cue! We tracked it down like a bloodhound tracks down an escaped con and when we pulled in, our mouths were watering. Well let me tell you it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Wife got the chopped BBQ sandwich and I ordered the large sliced sandwich with a pork skin to boot. Man o' man that first bite made my tongue slap the back of my gullet and it just got better 'n better from there. When we got ready to leave, I made sure to reiterate the same thing I stated when we walked in...BEST ADVERTISING I'VE EVER SMELLED!! We live over an hour away but it will be worth the trip just to go back to Arcadia 'Q!!!

Easily one of the best plates of BBQ you can get. I've been eating here since I was born and can attest that Speedys always delivers excellent service and excellent food. Quick and speedy just like the name and packed with an amazing flavor.

The new ownership had made a huge improvement on this restaurant. The BBQ sauce is miles better and the BBQ pork comes out cooked and tender and not soggy. I've heard their breakfast is just as good, I hope to try it out some morning. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. If something is wrong, let the staff know and they will do all they can to make it right.

The rare BBQ joint that was strong on all fronts! Great hush puppies, well-seasoned fries, good cole slaw, great sauce, and of course, strong Q. Only disappointment was a salad made with less-than fresh lettuce, but we'd go back again to give 'em another shot.

A big shout to this place. Live in Tampa Fl. Been there when we visit. A Family member passed away and since we can't travel due to this virus I called and asked if they were delivering and they were able to do this. Thank you so much for delivering for us from Tampa. Great place.

Que was good -- Lexington style. Bbq slaw was finely ground. Generous servings. We were served by the wife of the husband/wife duo that own the place. She was very pleasant and attentive. Ambience is simple, blue collar, clean -- maybe cleaner than a lot of older bbq places. Small, a little bit close inside. If somebody talks loudly -- especially table-to-table, it can be annoying. Happened when we were there. Owners need to be willing to ask 'em to pipe down, or leave. Hard to do when they're just starting out. If you're heading south on Peter's Creek Pkwy (NC 150), feel the hungries comin' on, stop by. You won't regret it.

Great small-town BBQ with a down-home southern atmosphere! I had the pulled pork BBQ tray with hushpuppies which was incredibly good. Polite, fast waiting service as well. Will put Speedy Lohrs on my (re) do list!

First time customers. Traveling through for work, called in our order, bar b que sandwiches, and they were delicious. Excellent curbside service, during this virus. We'll definitely place more orders in the future.

Really good pit cooked BBQ. The baked beans are good and so are the fries. I hear good things about breakfast but be warned they stop serving promptly at 10:29, and you are outta luck if you want it at 10:30. The BBQ is good though and the red slaw is authentic. Check it out if you are on the hunt for authentic pit cooked barbeque. It's worth the stop.

Delicious food,large menu, sweet staff..Definitely going back,they have my favorite crushed ice and large crinkle cut fries

I ordered the course chopped bbq tray which was delicious! Bbq was tender. The flavor of the bbq and sauce delicious! We ordered the hot brownie and Hershey'sice cream was fabulous! The banana split was fresh and enough for two people. Service is excellent. I forgot to take photos of their new menus. They look great.

Great BBQ. For breakfast you can't go wrong with a tenderloin or chicken biscuit. They also make the best cheese grits.

Absolutely delicious tender BBQ with choice of BBQ dip in mild or hot. I prefer course chopped or sliced BBQ. But we have also tried and enjoyed their BBQ chicken and pork ribs. Family owned. Closed Sundays.

Got some barbecue for a family meal and it was delicious! I love my Lexington barbecue when I'm in the area. Diverse menu if per chance you don't want the best bbq in the country!

Great food..I love the corn fritters.
Fries was a bit cold But they are good.
The waitress was super sweet and fantastic at her job.

The young ladies that take the orders and work the counter are very friendly. The food is great. My food orders are always right!

Good Lexington style barbecue. They have excellent breakfast specials. Good prices, nice people. A very enjoyable experience.

Some of the best Q I have had. We try to visit every weekend. love the corn fried nuggets. Very friendly staff.
