Sazon Mexican Cuisine

The food is delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. And the back deck with a view of the Tuck is great for al fresco dining! And, oh! They serve the best Mole con Pollo I've ever had!

They have delicious food! I particularly love the vegetarian roasted burrito. The staff is very friendly and attentive. My favourite thing about the restaurant is the outdoor patio overlooking the Tuck. Absolutely gorgeous seeing the river!

We were in town to visit Western Carolina with my son & decided to try this restaurant for lunch based on the reviews. Food, service, and atmosphere were wonderful. There is a outdoor dining area overlooking the river that is perfect for social distancing concerned visitors. Burritos are big & definitely a full meal. Also.. sopapillias were fantastic.

We have enjoyed Sazon take out over the past year, so much that my daughter requested to have a birthday meal here with her friends. They were amazing as usual. We called and let them know we were coming a few days ahead of time. They had us a table ready with 2 servers and came by and checked on us multiple times. They were so accommodating with a group of 10 and 11 year olds and were glad to see us having a wonderful evening at their restaurant. The food was amazing as always and we were able to order the family platters they have and let the girls pick what they wanted. They all came back for 2nds and 3rds and talked about how good the food was. We had a wonderful evening ! We will definitely be returning often and recommending to our friends.

This little hole in the wall in a rural NC mountain town will knock your socks off. It was difficult to choose what to eat and everything was amazingly delicious. The service was quick and friendly and food was ready surprisingly fast. The margaritas were also great. You must eat here! You will be glad you did:)

This is a delicious restaurant in a great location with very reasonable prices. If it's a nice day you can sit out on the patio overlooking the river. I have never had a bad meal here and the staff are welcoming and courteous. I don't eat meat, and they have an extensive vegetarian menu. The dishes are fresh, creative, and absolutely yummy. They also do some interesting fusions. They have one dish where they use ciabatta bread. I recommend you check it out!

Some of the best and freshest tasting Mexican food I have had. We always enjoy sitting out on the back patio over looking the Tuckaseggee River, makes for a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff are very polite and helpful when trying to select your food or drink. They have like 15 different Margaritas along with daily drink specials. The saying don't judge a book by its cover is definitely the case on this lovely little hole in the wall!

This is the best Mexican food I have EVER had. Ever. You are doing yourself a severe diservice if you don't eat here! I thought the sour cream looked watery or odd and I tasted it, it was amazing and rich! I asked and they make it in house! This is amazing! Everything is fresh and never like competition! Holy lord. Eat here, do it and die with no regrets.

I want to praise this place....... this is real food. You can tell their sauces are developed, you can tell they use real ingredients, you can tell they place emphasis on their service. Who would ever go to el patron? El patron is fake Central American cuisine. I cannot brag enough about this establishment, it is absolutely delicious. This is a hidden gem!

This is seriously the best place in the area. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out! All the food is super fresh and flavorful. The servers are polite and know what they're doing. You won't regret trying this little place out!

My favorite place to eat in Cullowhee. I eat there so often that some of the waitresses know my order by heart! The black bean enchiladas are the bomb. My husband loves the chorizo chimichanga(hope I got the name right) . Great service, owners are friendly and great to talk to! Art is unique. Food is fresh and delicious. Most Mexican restaurants make me ill but their food is so fresh I don't get ill. I recommend it to everyone I meet on campus! All this and the restaurant is clean! Can't beat it! Great atmosphere and food. If the weather is nice try the patio! It's perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner.

Mexican food is typically pretty good in general, hard to mess it up. But unusual to find a Mexican restaurant that “wows” you. This small hole in the wall did! I think they have someone’s grandmother cooking in the back. The sauces were excellent, the proportions ample, and quite a selection on the menu. Everything was delicious, and they even have outdoor seating overlooking the Tuckasegee River. Very nice. Highly recommended by a local - we loved it.

The gastronome in you will definitely fell in love with the place. I mean the place exudes a very authentic taste. The ingredients are fresh and carefully selected by the chef. It is not your ordinary and greasy Tex-Mex food that you'll get from anywhere. The price is within your budget; the staffs are very friendly too. So next time you drop by Sylva, do not miss out on this place.

I went there for the horchata and it was like Mana from heaven for my wary soul. The waitress was attentive and kind and on top of her business. Great view of the river and the music got my hips moving. Small Town vibe with authentic Mexican atmosphere. Going again.

This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat! I've never had a bad meal and the service is always quick. Their prices are not too expensive and well worth the amount of food they provide!

Great food, great service. Good prices too! They opened up a few minutes early for us. The tacos were excellent and she kept our drinks full. We'll be back!

This was my first time going. I ordered take out and my food was steaming even when I got home. It was clearly cooked fresh. Good portion sizes, convenient, and amazing staff.

In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in the Sylva/Cullowhee area. Very fresh food and the staff will work with you on any dietary limitations. While I am not a vegetarian, I enjoy eating all of the items I've tried off of the vegetarian menu as the flavor is great for everything. They will make dishes vegan upon request.

I always love Sazon but I seriously just had the absolute best Mexican dish I have ever had in my life here! The Pollo Maria Rosa for the win! If I could give this place ten stars, I would!!!
