Prisma Health Patewood Outpatient Surgery Center

I had procedure done on Monday, everyone from admittance, pre op, operation, recovery and post operative were outstanding. All the staff and doctors kept my wife and myself well informed. The only thing missing was a birthday cake. Thanks to all of you.

I had a great experience here for my outpatient surgery. I thought the intake process was smooth and informative. The nurses, doctors, and administrative staff were all nice. I felt well taken care of here.

I have had two surgeries at Patewood Hospital. I could not ask for better care. Everyone from admissions to nurses were very caring. I have had surgeries in several other hospitals and this was right at the top.

We had a wonderful experience! Everyone was very helpful, kind and explained detail before, during, and after surgery!

This office really needs to do a better job with communication. I was not told anything until the day before my surgery and did not even get a time until then. I waited two months for surgery. I work and I cannot plan if I don’t even know what time I’m having to drive to surgery. It was also not at all communicated to me that my boyfriend would have to stay the entire time rather than him being able to pick me up. He had to miss hours of work just to wait on me when his phone number was already given.

$5,000 - FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS for my son to have tubes put into his ears. I have good insurance, but I am guessing, they file this under hospital stay so, it is out of pocket. 20 minutes max for the ENT doctor (including talking 5 total minutes with me before and after).15 minutes max for the anesthesiologist (which may cost more - TBD when I get the final bill). One hour total of nurse time. 15 minutes total of admin time. Less than 1 hour of "hospital" room time. This is an outpatient facility which is a large doctor's office. The only reason I gave it 1 star is because I had to and the nurse was nice. GO ELSEWHERE. I will be filing a claim with the state insurance office for egregious billing practices. They are basically using my money (and anyone else who uses their facilities) to pay for all their new buildings. A normal cost for this procedure is under $1000 according to everyone else I have spoken to whose children have undergone this procedure elsewhere.
